"ContamiNETion" is a group project we developed for our Interior Design Studio class with Michele De Lucchi.
Brief: a contemporary office space that defeats all the negative stereotypes linked with having to go to work and being confined within a room for long hours. Concept: this office space was planned for a trend analysis firm. The layout is dynamic and flexible, and the use of materials like nets and webs highlights the importance of multidisciplinariety and communication in the modern age.

"Orange Lane" is a group project we developed for our New Interiors Studio class with Ico Migliore.
Concept: inspired by the theme of the circus, we developed five rest areas that offer a variety of activities related to to it. Each activity is linked to an action and a different material that can be found at the stop. We also developed the lighting project and the communication and advertisement strategy.

ENGRAVED MEMORIES
"Engraved memories" is a solo project I developed for my Contest Design Studio class with Ico Migliore.

Brief: Milan is going to be the host city for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Design a temporary installation for the city, to be experienced by citizens and tourists alike. Concept: the installation consists of a robotic arm encapsulated within a plexiglass cylinder, constantly engraving in its walls names, dates, addresses, signatures and short stories about winter sports in Milan. The memories are croudsourced and imputted into a database by the people of the city.

"Tilt" is a group project for “Climate Performance”, a workshop with Markus Jatsch from Martha Shwartz Partners.
Brief: starting from a climate issue that affects us, develop an installation for a public space to represent it and raise awareness. Concept: our topic was deforestation caused by unpredictable strong storms. We occupied a very large area inside Milan, filling it with dead tree trunks from the affected regions nearby, creating a forest of leaning pillars that destabilizes the visitors.

"The weight of creativity" is a solo project I developed for my bachelor thesis.

Brief: three window display at the Rinascente store in Milano for the brand Kartell. Concept: the display shows the progress of technology and design within the brand, highlighting four of the most important designers that collaborated with Kartell and their most famous and popular creations. As lightness is the main quality of plastic, which is the trademark material for the brand, the display focuses on four different metaphores for it.

Concept: Legato is an interactive experience that unites music theory and typography. The keyboard tool plays different sounds for each letter, and changing the style affects the soundwave. Available at http://allaboutgian.com/legato

From March 2018 to April 2019, with a short break to graduate, I was a cultural mediator for the Triennale di Milano. Having an internship at such an important design museum was incredibly insightful and formative. I became a very outspoken and helpful person and my duties made me feel important for the visitors’ experiences when seeing the exhibits. This was an unforgettable experience: I loved the early mornings with no visitors and the late nights in the crowd during Design Week. Seeing the behind the scenes of a museum had always been my dream and now that I have accomplished it I know that I want my future to be here as well.
