AXIS HINGE COVER PLATES

Enhance Your Shower Space with Axis Cover Plates

Add a touch of elegance to your shower space with the Axis Cover Plates. These plates clip onto our axis hinges, bringing fluted, knurled, or 3D styles into your bathroom.

Priced (incl VAT) at £150 for a pair of glass-to-wall hinges and £290 for a pair of glass-to-glass hinges, these cover plates are exclusively for The Portrait Collection. The Axis Cover Plates are available in Chrome, Black, Brushed Gold and Brushed Nickel colour finishes.

Our handles are crafted using premium materials, honed techniques and a focus on timeless practicality. From the understated style of The Curve to the undeniable opulence of The Athena, there is a style to suit every home.

All handles are available at no extra cost with our M2M spaces. For standard spaces, N6, NH7, NH8 and NH10 are charged at £40 while NH11 and H15 are charged at £75 (incl VAT).

POLISHED GOLD, CLEAR GLASS

In this beautifully renovated listed cottage, Simply Bathrooms created a luxurious, family-friendly bathroom that balances traditional charm with modern functionality.

The compact space required careful planning, with bespoke storage and easy-maintenance finishes tailored for busy family life. Our View 14 two-panel hinged bath screen in brushed gold was selected to complement the warm tones and period character, adding function without interrupting the soft, cohesive palette.

Set against Bert & May and Minoli tiles, the result is a refined blend of old and new — and a testament to Simply Bathrooms’ skill in delivering thoughtful, character-led design.

POLISHED NICKEL SLIDING SPACE, CLEAR GLASS

This vibrant cloakroom proves that compact spaces can still feel bold and beautifully designed. Deep plum walls, patterned tiles, and soft mint herringbone flooring create a striking, layered look with plenty of personality.

To make the most of the narrow footprint, a View 30 sliding shower enclosure was installed in a recess — offering a sleek, space-saving solution that doesn’t interrupt the flow of colour and pattern.

Finished with Polished Nickel accents and playful details like a bubblegum pink basin, this basement bathroom feels luxurious, expressive, and thoughtfully designed down to the last detail.

At Park Farm, West One Bathrooms partnered with The Shower Lab to create a family bathroom that balances practicality with timeless design. The large space features his and hers sinks and generous storage solutions, ensuring it works seamlessly for busy family life.

A backdrop of herringbone marble subway tiles adds classic texture and elegance, complemented by a palette of soft neutrals that enhance the room’s natural light.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

SHOWER SCREENS

All of our products are manufactured in accordance with EN 14428. Our shower spaces feature 10mm thick, toughened safety glass to EN 1250 and have been treated with the EnduroShield protective finish at no additional charge.

Aluminium sections are extruded to BS 1474 from alloys complying with BS 6463 and coated to BS 6464.

All of The Shower Lab spaces are approved for use with power showers, where installed correctly. Water retention is maintained under normal showering conditions. We recommend that you shower using either a fixed or adjustable shower head that is appropriately positioned. The water flow should not face directly towards the shower screen as this could result in leaks. Please note, our walk-in spaces may allow water spray to pass beyond the length of the screen. Again, this depends on the position of the showerhead and the volume of water it delivers. For more information on the correct positioning for showerheads, please contact your local The Shower Lab partner showroom.

Your new shower space should be installed in a well-ventilated area to minimise the build-up of steam. Mineral deposits found in normal shower water can cause watermarks and limescale when left to build up. Over time, this will cause your shower space to look dull and can cause damage if ignored. To prevent limescale build-up, wipe down your screens with a soft cloth or chamois after each use. Please see our Care & Maintenance section (page 160) for more information.

We recommend that you install a suitable waterproof flooring outside of your showering area. This will prevent a spray or mist from escaping beneath your shower space and causing moisture damage.

BATH SCREENS

The Shower Lab bath screens are not designed to fit baths with steeped fronts, integral soap dishes, headrests, roll-top designs or those with handles sitting above the top of the bath. If you choose to install them in this setting, the performance of your screen may be affected.

All of our inward opening bath screens need appropriate space to move. Care must be given when positioning the taps in your bath to ensure that sufficient space is left to fold the screen flat against the wall.

The Shower Lab bath screens are suitable for use with standard pressure showers. We do not recommend that they are used with power showers. During installation, we recommend that the shower head is positioned parallel to the bath screen. It should not be aimed directly at the screen.

SUPPLY ONLY

With our Supply Only service, you will need to provide full measurements. We do the drawings in-house and then send the order confirmation.

RETURNS POLICY

The Shower Lab withholds the right to accept returns on any product dispatched. All returns must be within 30 days of receipt of the product. Opened or damaged items are ineligible for return or credit. All eligible returns will incur a 30% surcharge. Collection fees apply and vary based on location. Credit will only be issued once the returned item passes our inspection process. Bespoke (M2M) products are exempt from returns.

INSTALLATION

All of our The Shower Lab spaces are provided with full installation instructions. If required, please show the following information to your installation team before they commence any work.

Care should be taken when preparing the area where the screen is to be installed. The following points should be observed.

• For easy installation, the base (shower tray, tiled floor etc) should be level over the whole length. If the base is out of level, our standard shower spaces cannot be used.

• For easy installation, all walls should be level and plumb. If the walls are out of level or not plumb, our standard shower spaces cannot be used.

• Please note, if your shower space is being installed directly onto a tiled floor, you must consider that items beneath these tiles (including under-floor heating or pipework) could be damaged when underframes and channels are being fitted.

• The Shower Lab spaces are manufactured using 10mm thick, toughened safety glass. This heavy material needs appropriate support to be installed safely. Please ensure that all walls and ceilings are suitably prepared so that hinges, channels and stay bars can be safely installed.

• When installing on to stud walls, timber supports should be located behind the fixing points. The minimum specification of these timbers should be 50mm x 100mm (2”x4”).These should be fitted where the hinges, stay bars and profiles are fitted directly to the walls.

This exact placement will be governed by the overall height of your shower screen or 100mm x 50mm x required length where glazing channels are fitted to the wall. For more information, please speak to your local The Shower Lab partner showroom.

• If you require any channels to be installed before tiling takes place in order to conceal them, all sub surfaces should be fully prepared before measurements are taken.

• We recommend you carefully consider the position of bathroom items intended for installation after your shower screen, if they could impact the future operation. These include wall-mounted towel radiators, WC’s and basins. An experienced bathroom designer will be able to advise on this.

• All dimensions supplied to The Shower Lab should be taken to finished works. Ensure shower trays, tiled floors and tiled walls are all completed before taking these measurements.

• Care should be taken when choosing wall finishes, including tiles. Where one of our shower space doors closes directly on to the wall, it will close with a translucent seal. While this has a soft bubble which will compress against the wall, gaps between tiles for grout may act as a channel through which water can escape. We also recommend avoiding smaller mosaic tiles or tiles with irregular levels when closing a door on to an inline fixed panel for the same reason. Alternatively, select a different shower space design.

• The Shower Lab will not be held responsible for leakages as described where this advice has been ignored.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR THE SHOWER LAB SPACE

To maintain the beauty of your shower space and its components, we recommend it is cleaned after each use. Using fresh, hot water and a soft cloth, wash down the inside of the glass. Use a squeegee to wipe away excess water to help reduce streaks and watermarks caused by the water. Once wiped down, ensure the glass and components are wiped dry with a soft microfiber cloth. This is the best way to avoid the build-up of limescale and other elements which can cause moisture-related damage.

Do not use scouring pads; steel wool or any abrasive products to clean your shower space as this could cause permanent damage to your components; the glass and its protective EnduroShield coating, otherwise over time, dullness may occur and the protective coating will become ineffective.

DEEP CLEANING YOUR SHOWER LAB SPACE

We recommend deep cleaning your shower space once a month to achieve the best results. Combine a mild detergent with water and use a soft cloth to polish this onto the screen and components. Once completed, wipe the glass clean with a microfibre cloth. All of The Shower Lab screens are manufactured with our EnduroShield Finish, allowing you to maintain its shine easily.

ENDUROSHIELD FINISH

Our EnduroShield Finish is an application used to make our shower screen glass water repellent. It bonds an invisible, non-stick polymer coating to the glass. This creates an impenetrable barrier against limescale and other forms of water-related buildup. All of our shower screens are easy to clean and maintain as a result of this treatment.

TEN YEAR GUARANTEE

The Shower Lab prides ourselves in the design and manufacture of premium shower spaces. Our 10 year guarantee is provided, as standard, to give you peace of mind.

This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.

All The Shower Lab components and glass screens are guaranteed for 10 years from the date of purchase. This guarantee stands against manufacturing defects. In addition, our plastic seals are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. Our EnduroShield Protective Glass Finish is not included in this guarantee as its performance is subject to outside Influences, i.e. the maintenance and care regime of the user and is subject to a reduction in its effectiveness if abrasive cleaning products are used. Contact your local bathroom showroom for the correct care & maintenance information.

Glass breakages and components subject to wear are not covered under the 10 year guarantee. All glass complies with EN 12150-1, which is referenced in EN 14428.

We guarantee installations of The Shower Screen spaces by our certified teams for 2 years from the date of completion.

This 10 year guarantee is only valid in the UK and is only available to the original purchaser (proof of purchase will be required). This guarantee cannot be transferred to a third party.

If a product is deemed to be defective, we will repair or replace any part of the item originally purchased. This shall constitute our sole obligation covered by this guarantee.

This guarantee covers normal domestic use for The Shower Lab spaces that have been installed in accordance with our installation instructions.

Under no circumstances, will we be liable for:

- Any item that has been modified without prior written approval by us.

- Any item that has been subjected to accidental damage, normal wear and tear, wilful neglect or that has failed as a direct result of incorrect maintenance.

- Any compensation payments for consequential losses or any other associated costs unless prior written consent is given by us.

Appropriate care must be taken when cleaning glass that has been treated by the EnduroShield Glass Finish. The use of abrasive cleaners may damage the specialist surface protection.

We reserve the right to change designs, product specification, finishes and materials without prior notice in line with our policy of continual review and improvements.
