At St James, we believe in providing our customers with the best quality products.

ST JAMES TRADITIONAL Brassware products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects provided that they are installed in accordance with St James’ installation instructions. The cover period is from the date of supply from Sanbra Limited and will last for 2 years for parts, provided the product is installed in a domestic setting. Compensation for loss of use of the product or consequential loss of any kind is not covered.

Our guarantee covers all products, provided they are used as intended and installed in line with our fixing instructions and local Water and Electrical Bylaws and legislation.

The guarantee covers manufacturing or materials defects, and in the event of a failure within the guarantee period, a free replacement or replacement part (or nearest current equivalent) will be supplied. Liability is limited to the products and does not cover damage during installation or consequential loss. Installation is considered acceptance of the goods; any damage must be reported to your retailer before installation. Normal wear and tear, lime scale, and chemicals used during cleaning can cause damage and deterioration, and this is not covered by the guarantee. Products should always be used in the way they are intended and not misused or abused. We will not accept any claims for replacement if the products have been modified in any way other than as provided in the installation instructions. Parts fitted from other sources will invalidate the guarantee.

Conditions of Guarantee

Only products from an authorised stockist can be registered for the extended warranty. All products must be installed by qualified professionals, and evidence of this will need to be provided to support any claim. Proof of purchase is required to support a claim.

The product must be available for our inspection and should not be removed or destroyed without our consent. We may also request photographic evidence. The product must have been installed, cleaned, and used in accordance with our instructions, and installed in line with good plumbing and electrical fitting practice, e.g., flushing out pipework before installation. Full details are available on the product pages on our website.

Claims for products that do not perform due to insufficient water pressure will not be accepted. Details of the minimum pressure requirements are available on our website and must be checked prior to installation.

If the product is faulty due to a manufacturing or materials failure, we will, at our discretion, repair or supply a replacement product or suitable part thereof free of charge. We will not be liable to replace other products in the room if the replacement is not an exact match for the originally supplied product. If the product is no longer in manufacture and we cannot supply the identical product or a suitable component part, we will offer to replace it with the nearest product from our current range.

These guarantees do not extend to ex-display products. This does not affect your statutory rights. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by lime-scale, mildew, chemicals or inappropriate cleaning or consequential damage. We reserve the right to alter or change the specifications of any product without prior notice.

Due to different materials and finish processes throughout showering and brassware of PVD, Anodising, Electroplating the colour finish may differ to the images in the brochure. Please request colour samples when matching Flair Shower enclosure finishes with St James Living finishes to ensure you are satisfied with the colour match before installation. Replaceable parts are available from our dealer network or directly from www.stjamesengland.com

If you wish to make a claim under this guarantee, please contact St James as soon as you identify a manufacturing defect. Upon identifying a defect, do not use or install the product.

General Care & Cartridge Maintenance – Customer Guide

St James traditional taps and showers are manufactured from high-quality brass and premium finishes. Correct care and maintenance will help preserve both the appearance and performance of your products.

Daily Cleaning

– Clean regularly using warm water only

– Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth

– Dry thoroughly after use to prevent water marks and limescale

Limescale Removal

In hard water areas, limescale can be removed using the following method:

– Mix white vinegar and warm water

– Apply using a soft cloth

– Leave for up to 30 minutes

– Wipe away deposits, rinse thoroughly, and dry

Cartridge Cleaning

If flow is reduced or operation becomes stiff:

– Isolate the water supply

– Remove the cartridge

– Soak in white vinegar and warm water for up to 30 minutes

– Rinse thoroughly and refit carefully

Warranty Summary

St James Traditional Brassware includes an 10 year warranty on all finishes:

– Cartridges: 2 years

– Handsets, handset holders, accessories, wastes & hoses 5 years

Warranty is subject to correct installation, use, and maintenance.
