Please welcome our newest members: Dear Members, I hope you had an enjoyable holiday season and were able to spend time with friends and family. We were fortunate to see many of you at the festive events held in December. Thank you for coming out to the Club to celebrate the holidays with us. Our staff captured some wonderful photos of these magical events which you’ll find inside this issue. You may also notice a new design for our monthly newsletter; we thought it fitting to start a new year with a fresh, new look! Look for our annual Member Experience Survey this month. The survey has been shortened considerably and should take just a few minutes to complete. We value your feedback and will use the results to continue to improve our services. Thank you, in advance, for your input.

Dear Members, I would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to what 2020 will bring. Challenges for sure, but many rewarding achievements as well. We finished installing the fan for #6 green in December. This will help reduce summer stress on this green and allow us to manage it just like any other green on the course (without raising the mowing height or skipping mowing altogether due to stress). See photographs of this project on the right. We are very close to starting the stream project for #17. As I’ve stated before, this will not only enhance the appearance of the stream, but more importantly, increase water flow which will reduce flooding in this area of the golf course. When the stream feature for #17 is complete, we plan to start on two of our capital projects for 2020:
The first project will be cleaning out the retention area of the stream behind #13 green. The second project will be cleaning out the section of the stream that crosses #18 fairway.
Both of these projects will serve the same purpose as the project on #17 — water flow and aesthetics. That’s all for now. Hopefully we have some nice weather for some winter golf. See you all soon!
Regards, Gary Sailer, CGCS Director of Golf Course Maintenance garys@fivestarlifestyles.com

Happy New Year from the Food & Beverage team!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to welcome in the new year. Our team has been working hard to plan exciting member events for 2020 and we are off and running this month with a fun Men’s Night “Texas Hold ‘Em” Tournament on January 23rd. See details to follow and be sure to RSVP so you don’t miss out! Hours for the Dining Room and Mixed Grill are changing this month through early spring. Please see the hours in the chart below. As a reminder, The Mixed Grill closes two hours after the kitchen closes. If you are dining with us before the listed closing time, please stay and enjoy your after-dinner cocktails or finish that bottle of wine. However, if there are no diners in the Club at the time the kitchen closes, we will not be keeping The Mixed Grill open. Thank you for your support of this policy. As always, we welcome your questions and feedback at any time.
