Hello everyone! I hope this fall has been enjoyable for you and that you were able to play a few rounds the past few months. Although the temperatures are dropping, we know there are some sunny days ahead for winter golf at The Deuced. Your Golf Course Maintenance team will keep the course playing well … weather willing! Tree work will continue in December with our focus on holes #12 through #16. Our main goal in this endeavor is to improve sunlight and air movement in these areas. I thought you might enjoy seeing a couple of “bird’s-eye-view” drone photos of our beautiful golf course (on the right). It’s not often we get to see the course from this vantage point and boy is it spectacular! Here’s wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season! Mind-Body Movement: Experience a completely different class each Tuesday and Thursday at Mind-Body Movement with Instructor Kelly Hrisak. Classes include a variety of yoga, yoga with weights, Pilates mix, toning exercises and low-impact cardio. This class is designed to be safe on your joints while boosting cardiovascular health and keeping your mind young!

Bootcamp: Instructor Julie Brookings will keep your heart rate and your calorie burn high in an efficient workout mix of total body strength exercises with fat-blasting cardio intervals.

WINTER JUNIOR FITNESS ORIENTATION 6-Week Program for ages 11 to 14 The hardest aspect of making physical fitness and wellness a part of your life is knowing where to begin. This program will help start your child on the right path as we educate them on safety and produce a life-long exerciser!
Participants will learn:
Proper warm-up and exercise techniques Safe, correct use of cardio and resistance-training machines How to record progress Safe protocols for increasing weight and repetitions Participants who are 14 years old will also be introduced to safe free-weight training
Upon completion of this program, all junior members will earn the privilege of using the Fitness Center without parental supervision (typically restricted to those 15 and up) but only when a fitness team member is on duty. Participants age 13 and under will be prohibited from using free-weight equipment. Schedule:

Meet The National’s NEW MASSAGE THERAPIST! Please welcome our new resident Massage Therapist, Jill Saura! J ill has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for more than 12 years and is truly the ideal massage therapist for our Club. Jill received her Associate of Science (AOS) in Massage Therapy from Heritage College in 2008. Since then she has received continuing education in the fields of Craniosacral, Myokinetics and Orthobionomy. She has experience working with a wide variety of athletes including team members of Sporting KC and the Chiefs. Jill has a deep understanding of the interconnectivity of all musculoskeletal tissues and how flexibility and mobility from massage can both relieve and prevent injury. For the past seven years she has been working with Harmony Health and Wellness. In her down time, Jill loves spending time with her amazing family of five children: Keely, Cody, Lilly, Isabella and Reese; four grandchildren; and three dogs (Keanu, Evie and Daisy).
