Fisher House in Puerto Rico.
Every donation, whether it’s one-time or monthly, is appreciated. Depending upon your level of support, you may receive permanent recognition.
The VA Caribbean Healthcare System offers a wide range of support to nearly 71,000 veterans in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including mental health services, cardiology, internal medicine, care for spinal cord injuries and disorders, and rehabilitation.
The new Fisher House in Puerto Rico will have 16 suites and provide a “home away from home” for up to 5,840 nights and offer families savings of over $1 million in lodging and transportation annually. Like all Fisher Houses, the home will be well-appointed to provide military and veteran families with a safe, comfortable place to rest while they support their loved ones in the hospital.
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital.
Donors who contribute $25,000 or more to the construction of a Fisher House will receive the following benefits:
• Invitations to house celebration events
• Recognition in Fisher House Foundation’s annual report
• Eligible for social media recognition upon approval
Donors who contribute $100,000 or more will be recognized as follows, in addition to benefits listed above:
• Permanent listing on bronze recognition plaque displayed at the entrance of the newly constructed Fisher House
• Special recognition with the prestigious Patriot Award at the house celebration
• Representation and recognition at house celebration events
