Dear Friends,
Because of you, Fisher House Foundation continues to stand beside military and veteran families when they need it most. Each Fisher House exists for one reason: to ensure that when a service member or veteran faces serious medical care, their family can be close by.
For more than three decades, these homes have provided comfort and stability during some of the most difficult moments in a family’s life.
In 2025, your steadfast support helped us reach an important milestone: 100 Fisher Houses across 35 states, the District of Columbia, and Europe. Since the first Fisher House opened, more than 570,000 families have stayed in these homes, saving them an estimated $690 million in travel and lodging costs. Behind every number is a family able to focus on supporting someone they love during a time of uncertainty.
OUR MISSION
Even as we mark this milestone, the work continues. In 2025, we added Fisher Houses at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois, and the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, and construction is underway at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt VA Hospital in Montrose, New York.
As I reflect on this progress, I think about the many partners, donors, volunteers, and dedicated staff members who have made it possible. Your support ensures that when a service member or veteran faces serious medical care, their family does not have to face it alone.

Fisher House Foundation, Inc.
Fisher House Foundation, Inc. is an international not-for-profit organization established to improve the quality of life for members of the military, retirees, veterans, and their families. The Foundation builds comfort homes at military and VA medical centers and gifts them to the government. It assists with the coordination of private support and encourages public support for the network of comfort homes known as “Zachary and Elizabeth M. Fisher Houses.” It works to educate and inform the military and veteran communities, their families, and the general public about Fisher Houses and provides necessary support to individual Fisher Houses as needed. Other programs include scholarships, an awards program recognizing innovative programs for military and veteran communities, the Hero Miles and Hotels for Heroes programs, and individual assistance to members of the military and their families during a crisis.
