Nordic Insole fact sheet

ORTHOPEDIC INSOLES The big difference between sport insoles and orthopedic insoles is the power-transfer from the body to the ground. Orthopedic insoles provide special supported areas, that correct and support the feet in its standing position. Simultaneously the footprint is balanced over its entire surface.

PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION This graphic shows how the pressure is distributed without insoles. The red areas show where the most pressure is located on the footprint and transferred to the ground. In these areas the strain is nearly the same as the bodyweight. At the green and blue area, the foot sole transfer less weight, which also means that there is less power transfer.

This graphic shows a measurement with orthopedic insoles. Here, the pressure is spread all over the foot standing area and there are no “high pressure” points anymore. The weight from the body is now balanced and the power transfer to the ground is efficiently shared on a much bigger area than before.
