The Silk Road Collection
The Silk Road Collection Weaving together history, imagination and craftsmanship
With the Silk Road collection, arriving in January 2026, Fischbacher 1819 opens a new chapter in its textile narrative. A collection inspired by the legendary trade routes that for centuries connected East and West, transforming travel into an experience of cultural, spiritual and material exchange. The Silk Road is not only an ancient geography: it is a map of emotions and memories, a collective narrative made of artefacts, colours, symbols and encounters. The collection pays homage to all of this, with fabrics that evoke the gesture of the artisan’s hand and the strength of fibres that travel across time and space. Each fabric is named after a mythical figure, a forgotten city, or a landscape shaped by wind and light: deserts, mountains, hidden rivers, bustling bazaars. Through refined weaves, sculpted textures and a colour palette recalling sun-scorched earth and mineral tones, the collection gives form to an aesthetic that unites the poetry of travel with the art of transformation. Each fabric is a sensitive map, an invitation to explore—between reality and imagination—the cultural territories that still shape the way we decorate today. Guided by Creative Director Camilla Douraghy Fischbacher, the collection is born from a clear intention: to transform fabric into a universal language capable of connecting people, places and stories. Camilla—an IranianAmerican artist and fine art photographer—brings to her work a deep sensitivity to narration, materiality and gesture. Her vision blends Swiss precision with Mediterranean sensuality, creating collections that speak to the senses and to the soul.

“This collection is more than a textile proposal: it is an emotional and cultural journey. It celebrates the spirit of connection that defined the Silk Road. Every thread carries the story of an era, the strength of a vision, the poetry of an encounter.” Camilla Douraghy Fischbacher, Creative Director

“The blend of cotton and silk creates a cloth that is both structured and supple: the cotton lends body and stability, while the silk introduces lustre and delicacy. The ribs add natural volume and a gentle architectural presence.“ Giuliana Pantano, Chief Designer

HOMA takes its name from the mythical Persian griffin. Half lion, half eagle, a protective talisman believed to bestow good fortune. The design sits at the crossroads of mythology, trade, and craftsmanship, a timeless language that travelled the Silk Road for centuries.
