The collection ‘100 Patterns in 100 Days’ brings to life a snapshot of 100 designs conceived by the Malaysian artist Rebecca Duckett-Wilkinson in the Spring of 2020. Caught off guard by the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, Duckett-Wilkinson spent several months in isolation in her countryside home in Piedmont, Italy. In this extraordinary situation, she set herself the creative goal of painting 100 patterns in 100 days. Expressive works of art emerged inspired by her daily walks in the surrounding area capturing dream-like landscapes, the opulent colourfulness of seasonal change and the richness in detail of nature. From memory, Duckett-Wilkinson also painted symbolic motifs, including a Malayan tiger which features as one of the main designs in the capsule collection.
