EVERY BLESSING FOR 2024 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, “This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them. ~ Numbers 6:22-27 (NKJV) ~ We usually hear this blessing as a benediction at the end of a worship service. But I believe it may well be God’s blessing for us in this new year as well. Let’s look at it for a moment. The LORD bless you: This simple desire prefaces everything. God loves to bless His people, and He loves when His leaders long for the people to be blessed. God’s blessing always keeps in mind our greatest and highest good. We often expect God’s blessing in our life to mean a world of comfort and ease — but that certainly wouldn’t be for our greatest and highest good. God knows how you need to be blessed, even if you don’t! continued
