WEEK IN WORSHIP MARCH 18 -MARCH 24
The truth is, God has been faithful to me, and implying that I’ve been out there my whole life scavenging on my own is really a slap in God’s face and a besmirching of His character. In light of this Psalm, I had to confess to Him my disrespect. What if we cultivated this habit: To regularly talk about God’s steadfast love and help each day? We would rehearse, not everything that went wrong, but everything that God has faithfully provided. As we recall God’s faithfulness, we’re not only showing respect to our Provider, but also more likely to be a positive influence on the people around us. When was the last time you sang of the Lord’s great love, and took the time to tell someone else about it? Sounds like a great way to reduce the stress life can bring.

THE JOURNEY INTO
Others Oriented Living
Two days ago, on my way home from church, my car went into “limp mode” and the “check engine” light came on. I pulled over and turned off the engine, waited 30 seconds, restarted the car, and drove on home ¾ with the “check engine” light still on! The next day the light turned itself off. Some of you are aware of the battle of wills I have been waging with that light. It’s caused me to replace the same sensor two times and my cars’ computer ¾ can you say “big bucks”? ¾ as well. “Just ignore it,” a friend told me. Really? What’s the point of having a check engine light if you just ignore it? But, I pretty much do that now. It seems fine for two or three months, and then we do the same song and dance again. Usually the light goes out in a couple of days and then comes on again once in a while, though the car seems to run fine. Of course, as soon as I think everything is OK and I’m back on the road, a completely different light comes up on my dashboard! Your oil is low. Your tire pressure is low. Your blood pressure is getting high! I thinking that if I ever write an autobiography, I’ll entitle it: There’s always a light on in the dashboard of my car.”

Dear church family, Thank you to those that have supported our youth in their camp fundraising efforts. Thank you also to those who have donated for the water in the fellowship hall. Every little bit helps send students to camp. We will be setting up a car wash on the 31st at 9 a.m. over at Big O Tires. Please stop by and let us help you drive away clean. In the evening of the 31st, we will be over at Antelope Lanes for a night of bowling. Be sure to bring a friend for a night of free bowling. Meet us there at 9 pm and we will end at 11. Thank you everyone again for your support. Don Gagnon, Minister to youth

The church office is a buzz as we enter Spring and prepare for summer. This Spring season we would like to encourage you to connect with a Sunday School class, Bible Study or event. The Sunday School classes started a new topic this month, jump right in. There are new Bible Studies available, make sure you sign up in the foyer – we’d love to have you. In April we will have an All Church Spring Cleaning Day. Keep an eye out for further announcements as we exercise good stewardship over our campus. Easter Service, April 1 will have the musical “Road to Calvary” – Now This Changes Everything, presented by our Praise Choir. Invite family, friends or a neighbor. We have invitations you can give, make sure to pick yours up this Sunday. Summer is bringing the much anticipated VBS, June 4 - 8. We are already receiving registrations and anticipate a wonderful turnout. Samson, our newest addition, is our VBS Mascot and will be joining us for Prescott Valley Days, May 11 &12. If you would like to volunteer and be involved in reaching out to our community, contact the church office – we would love to have you join us. Another anticipated summer event is Youth Camp, June 18 – 22. Keep an eye out for opportunities to help a youth go to camp. With all this - there is more to come. Please make sure you look out for more events this Spring & Summer in your Ministry Guide and the Connections Newsletter. As with any activity or event, volunteers are always needed. Please pray where you might serve. All gifts are just that, a gift and we are thankful for the faithfulness of every volunteer. You are invited to experience God’s mighty work as you connect with FSBCPV in this season. Diana Austin, Church Secretary
