Bale Gesing proudly secured third place at the Arzen Design Competition held by Udayana University. Aligned with the theme "Net Zero Energy Building," we focused on sustainable design principles guided by GBCI Net Zero Homes. To achieve net zero energy status, we utilized the EDGE calculator to estimate the impact on materials, water, and energy.
Our project goes beyond creating net zero energy houses; it also incorporates eco-friendly materials such as Cross Laminated Bamboo (CLB). The results were outstanding, as CLB showed significantly lower embodied carbon compared to traditional materials. Consequently, our house design is not only net zero but also environmentally friendly in terms of materials used.
