By Joe Lam The Geelong Small Business Festival (GSBF) is back for its 15th year, running from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 15, 2025. This annual event celebrates entrepreneurship, innovation, and community growth throughout Greater Geelong. Presented by the City of Greater Geelong and the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, the festival offers over 70 free or low-cost events, including workshops, masterclasses, panels, and networking opportunities. These events will be held at key locations such as Wurriki Nyal, The Sands Torquay, and various satellite sites. A Look Back: Pioneering Vision and Growth

The GSBF was first launched in 2011. It was conceived as a vital resource for small business growth following the Global Financial Crisis, providing learning, connection, and inspiration. Over the years, the festival has built a reputation for combining expert-led sessions with practical, real-world applications, evolving from a modest local gathering into the region’s largest business event. In 2024, the festival marked its 14th year, attracting over 30,000 attendees, a testament to Geelong’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and economic resilience.
