The stewardship of grasslands using managed and prescribed grazing is an important strategy for carbon sequestration in the face of climate change. We work closely with ranches and county-level Resource Conservation Districts (RCDs) to develop Carbon Farm plans, to help preserve ecosystems and strengthen soil health. The ranches we work with in rual Contra Costa and Solano counties are at risk, from land acquisition and development.
