HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND ENTERTAINMENT GUIDE

17 MARCH 2025

A warm welcome to my first newsletter ever! I am thrilled to share this part of my journey with you

A newsletter is something I have always wanted to do, but I just had not found the (right) time to do it The main reason for doing this is simply to express my POV on my interests and ideas that I care about I know what you are thinking: why not just go on X or Tik Tok to do that? I guess I can, and I like those platforms, but they are just not me There was a thought of doing a podcast but that also did not feel right (now) for me Because I am a writer by profession, a newsletter fits me just fine

So, for this week’s issue I share with you what went down this last weekend, particularly the places that were visited and the activities that were done

I thought I would go to gym on Saturday but, alas, life got in the way. On Wednesday I did go though and I did legs and shoulders In future, I will share with you my workouts

There is also a small review of the CK deodorant natural spray Let’s me just say I was expecting something better from the iconic brand

Finally, we close off with a satirical news piece which pokes fun at the recent VAT increase

Happy reading!

In this newsletter you can expect:

WEEKEND UPDATE.

March 2025

Melville - Here’s a quick update of what I went up to this last weekend It was not as eventful as I thought it would be The plans I had were postponed for this week because of the upcoming public holiday

The only highlight this last weekend was Sunday’s soccer games, particularly the Sundowns vs Pirates game After a rough night out on Saturday, I slept through the morning before waking up at 14:30 to get ready to go out and watch the game It started to rain by the time I left the house Arriving at Harrissa in 7th street Melville, the lounge was not so packed as I thought it would be. Guess, I was not the only one who overdid it the previous night Only the boys had come and, literally, three girls Pirates were about to score their second goal when I had just arrived and it

REVIEW: CK ONE

“Rather

buy Axe dark temptation.”

It had not been my intention to buy this product when I went to Woolworths at Cresta Mall But I needed a shopping bag to put my wallet and keys in, and so I grabbed this bodyspray to buy. I had so much faith in how wonderful its smell was that I took it home without testing it first and, boy, do I regret it now The folks at CK need to do better I would rather buy Axe Dark Temptation which is cheaper and smells better than this 2 / 5 ⭐

all happened in the first ten minutes of the game The boys supporting Pirates were ecstatic, no doubt, and Pirates managed to defend their lead in the first half In the second half of the game, Sundowns would eventually score The game ended with a 2- 1 score One of my friends admitted it was not a convincing win but, as the saying goes: a win is a win

It was a chilled and lazy Sunday I ended up coming back home around 10 p m after the Liverpool vs Newcastle United game ended

NEWS: South Africans welcome VAT increase.

JHB- Last week the minister of finance Enoch Gogodwana anounced a VAT increase and South Africans are said to be over the moon about the decision Many plan to spend the 21 March public holiday celebrating the VAT increase

“It’s just so commendable of the minister to keep us poorer and poorer,” said one resident in Soweto, “It’s like being squeezed around the neck tighter and tighter Wouldn’t it be easier to just rip out our hearts?”
