Disconnection, in some ways, is a difficult subject to create work about, because it’s an indicator of
disjointedness. How do you write about a lack of a bridge where there should be one, of gaps where
there should be links? Disconnection breeds confusion, disorientation, and uncertainty. As a result,
it takes a great deal of thoughtfulness and discernment to be able to point out disconnections we’re
not meant to be aware of.
