TEXTILE RECYCLING
We have partnered with ImpacTex NZ and Textile Recyclers Australia to give your old uniforms a second life.
Through our textile recycling program, we collect used garments so they can be turned into new products, reducing landfill waste. Over 9000kgs of garments have been recylced to date.
This initiative promotes circular fashion and helps close the loop on textile waste.
RECYCLED FIBRES
Biz Eco™ - a range that looks good and does good too. Using sustainable fabrics like recycled polyester, these materials help reduce waste, conserve resources, and lessen our environmental impact. Each style is designed with care, to ensure you get the same high quality and durability you expect, but with a greener footprint.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
We’re making giant leaps in our small steps to minimise plastic waste. From bags to swing tags, we are currently working to replace all plastic packaging with eco-friendly paper alternatives that meet APCO standards.
In addition to this, we’re reducing packaging usage by bulk-packing more garments and cutting down on individual bags. We have removed over 100 tonnes of packaging from our products across Australia and New Zealand to date.
The only plastic you’ll find are recycled carton liners and postal packaging that are needed to keep your items safe and protected while in transit.
Over the next year, we aim to cut our plastic consumption by 20% as part of our ongoing efforts to become part of a circular economy.
MODERN SLAVERY + ETHICAL SOURCING
We are committed to responsible sourcing, ensuring everyone in our supply chain is valued and protected. Our suppliers adhere to strict ethical standards, including the Ethical Trade Initiative Base Code, which ensures safe working conditions, fair wages, and respect for workers’ rights.
In 2022, we stepped up our efforts against modern slavery. We reviewed our supply chain, created new tools to monitor risks, and trained our staff. Our first Modern Slavery Statement focused on finding and fixing risks, with plans to do even more. You can find our annual statements on the Modern Slavery Register.
GIVING BACK
In partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia, Fashion Biz has released a range of pink products that will be sold via distributors with a portion of sales going directly to the foundation. We have raised over $50,000 to date, and will continue supporting this important foundation into the future.
