Steve Bethell Technical Field Officer
Born and bred in Motueka, Steve is the new Technical Field Officer with nearly 40 years’ experience in the grain and seed industry throughout the South Island. A significant amount of this time has been out in the field as a Senior Pastoral Agronomist, helping farmers to grow quality pastures and crops.
Steve has vast agricultural knowledge and will happily to meet you on-farm to discuss your fertiliser requirements, how best to monitor insect, weed and disease pressures and provide advice on how to effectively control them.

Josh Coleman Salesperson
Josh has been with the Farmlands Motueka team for the past 2 years’ and has proven instrumental in ensuring shareholders like you have been supported and your business requirements met while we’ve been appointing Steve.
Originally from Nelson, Josh has experience in the transport and logistics industry and spent some time working in Australia and Canada before joining the co-operative. Josh will now be working more closely with the sales team, gaining valuable knowledge to better assist you – a challenge he’s looking forward to.
Ben is a relatively new face to Farmlands Motueka but no stranger to Farmlands having worked in the Richmond store for the past eight years. He has moved to Motueka for a new challenge with a new shareholder base as well as the opportunity to manage Farmlands Collingwood.
Ben has a passion for the outdoors and hunting and has an extensive knowledge in agriculture, having worked on both dairy and sheep and beef farms.
