Online Registration Many of our activities are available for online registration. Visit our online registration site at farmersbranchliving.com
Register on Time Although participants may still enroll after a class begins,
families are encouraged to enroll in a timely manner. Waiting until the last minute might result in the class you want being full, or if enrollment is low, the class may be canceled. Registration can be done online, in person, or over the phone.
Community Recreation Center Class Registration
Youth class registration begins October 1 for November, December and January classes for residents and members. Non-residents who are non-members may register for classes one week prior to the start of each session.
Class Fees and Dates
All class fees are based on a four-week session per month unless otherwise noted. Classes affected by holidays and other conflicts may be prorated. See instructor or a front desk staff member for details. Holidays may affect class schedules. Check with a staff member for details.

Class Policies
Only registered participants may enter the activity area. Pre-registration is required for all classes. The enrollment minimum must be met for a class to make. Refunds are available only before a class has started and with approval. To request a refund, contact a front desk staff member. A credit may be issued in place of a refund. Class fees are not prorated based on late enrollment or non-attendance. At the instructor’s discretion, participants may be able to make up a class.

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available to qualifying Farmers Branch residents for a variety of activities at the Community Recreation Center and Aquatics Center. See staff for information on how to qualify. A maximum of $100 per child (up to age 18), per fiscal year (OctoberSeptember) may be received. Financial assistance is limited to one class per session, per child. Payment of 50 percent of class fee is due at time of registration. Ask about financial assistance for supplies as well!
Kids Zone Childcare
Childcare is offered for children ages six months to nine years. Kids Zone hours are Monday - Thursday from 9 - 11 a.m. Monday-Thursday 4 - 8 p.m., and Saturdays 7:45 - 10:35 a.m. The cost of childcare is free to members. Reservations are required by 4 p.m. the business day prior and are limited. Reservations are accepted up to 2 days in advance. A liability waiver and childcare form must be completed and on file for each child. Every child must be signed in and out each time the child visits Kids Zone. Parent must remain at the Recreation Center or Aquatics Center while child is in care. Children may not attend if they are ill. Approved staff/child ratios will be followed. Doors must remain closed when children are present. All personal items must be labeled. No peanut products allowed. Payment for childcare services is made at the Recreation Center’s front desk prior to entering the Kids Zone. FARMERS BRANCH LIVING

FREE with Fitness Membership Whether you are looking for the fun of Zumba or the challenge of Indoor Cycling, we offer a Flex Fitness class that meets your needs. Flex Fitness classes are included at no cost with your Fitness membership. Classes do not meet on holidays. Day passes are available for purchase for non-members. Day passes are valid for any Flex Fitness class and expire at the end of the purchase day. Day passes are available for $5 for residents and non-residents.
We also offer a variety of premium fitness classes. These classes are not a part of the Flex Fitness program and require fees according to the class.

Working with all fitness levels, these workouts will shape and tone every body part during this total body workout using resistance and cardio training. Monday & Wednesday| 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. Improve your range of motion, strength and flexibility with this mobility focused class that incorporates mindful movement practices that you’ll recognize from Pilates, yoga and barre. Class limited to 20 participants.
Cardio N Tone
Tuesday & Thursday | 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Sculpt your hips, thighs, abdomen, and upper body with a variety of aerobics, weights, floor work and yoga-like stretching. Class limited to 25 participants.
Bike N Burn
Tuesday & Thursday | 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Saturday | 9 - 10 a.m. Why just bike when you can Bike & Burn? This class is the best of both worlds. The first part builds cardiovascular strength and endurance with low-impact, highly efficient indoor cycling. The second half is carefully designed resistance training to boost the metabolism. The intensity is controlled by the individual so all fitness levels can benefit. The class is limited to 12 participants. No class on the last full week of the month.
Zumba
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Saturday | 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Dance your way to fitness! Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music that includes dance movements of meringue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, hip-hop, and more. You do not have to know how to dance to Zumba! Holiday Craze
Winter 2023-2024 Session December 20 - 22; 26 – 29 January 2, 3 $234 for Farmers Branch residents* $288 for non-residents* $108 for Farmers Branch residents receiving financial aid* *50% of payment is due at registration and the remainder is due by December 22 2023-2024 Holiday Craze is a recreational day-camp program operated by the Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Department. Holiday Craze is open to children ages 6 - 12 years (as of December 20, 2023 for the winter session). The program meets from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center on non-Federal school holidays during CFBISD’s Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring breaks. The program includes on-site entertainment, field trips, sports and fitness, holiday-themed activities and parties, and character development. Registration for all sessions is currently underway. Bennett Davison played F.I.B.A. international basketball for 13 years overseas. NCAA National Champion with the 1997 U of Arizona Wildcats. Have your son or daughter being coached by the best. Phillips Factory Basketball Training Program Saturday | 7 - 10 a.m. Sunday | 1 - 3 p.m. Ages 6 and Up $500 per month (with an option to pay $250 bi-weekly) From beginners to advanced basketball players, we provide comprehensive skill development as well as essential strength and condition from certified and degreed professionals. Athletes will also receive training on the Vertimax system to improve speed, power, explosiveness, and vertical jumping administered by certified Vertimax trainers.

The program prides itself on high-quality gymnastics, along with a fun and friendly atmosphere. Texas Dynamix is a popular and well-respected gymnastics provider in the metroplex. They are so excited to expand to Farmers Branch and cannot wait to get to know the kids and the community. If your child has a membership at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center they are eligible to receive a $4 discount per class. The program allows for 5 hours per week of training or 20 hours per month. The time is allotted to solidify skill and strength development for participants which is achieved through high quality reps and program intensity. Santa will visit your home to deliver gifts to your children (gifts provided in advance by parents). Visits are 15 minutes long and Santa enters through the front door. Timeslots range from 6:30 - 9 p.m. Limited to a five-mile radius of the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center. Resident reservations begin November 1. Letters To Santa November 10-December 8 | Free Make this holiday season extra special for your kiddos with Letters to Santa. The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center has teamed up with the North Pole to make sure all those precious letters to Santa get straight to him. Have your kids write a letter to Santa Claus, and they will get a personalized letter back from Santa himself! Just remember to pop in a return address, their Christmas must-haves, and a little something about them. The mini artist kit includes: a 3"x3" canvas and easel, brushes, and a small form to tell us about the inspiration behind your painting. Sweet Holiday Story Time
ESL Classes
Tuesday | December 5 | 6:30 p.m. | All ages | Free Experience a relaxing story time in your PJs while enjoying some cookies and juice!
Family Story Time
Monday & Thursday | 7 p.m. | Free English classes are offered twice a week to anyone who wants to enhance their English language skills. Lessons are week to week so continual attendance is not required. All skill levels are welcome.
Thursday | December 7 & 14 | 10:15 a.m. | Ages 2 - 7 with a caregiver | Free Enjoy a story time for the whole family with a fun craft at the end! Free cloth bag for everyone who attends!

Preschool Story Time
Thursday | January 11 - February 29 | 10:15 a.m. Ages 3 - 7 with a caregiver | Free Join us for stories, music, crafts, and various activities to enhance childhood literacy.
Make It, Take It
2nd & 4th Thursdays | January 11 & 25, February 8 & 22 | 4 p.m. | Free Visit the Library for an hour of fun themed crafts to take home for the winter!
Legos & Friends
3rd Thursday of the month | January 18 & February 15 | 4 p.m. | Free Use Legos, duplos, Magna Tiles, Picasso Tiles to show off your building skills. Fill out a Lego Builders card and show off what you make in the library!
2nd Monday of the month | December11, January 8, February 12 6:30 p.m. | Free Expand your reading tastes every month with selected topics from various popular online reading challenges. Follow us on social media or check out our calendar to find out the month’s topic. Beverages will be provided for all the coffee and tea lovers.
World Cinema Club

Knit Wits
Wednesday | 5 p.m. | Free Knitters and crocheters of all genders and ages are welcome to join the Library’s informal knitting group on Wednesdays. Beginners are welcome and we will gladly show you how to get started.
D&D for Adults

Highlights: 8,127 square-foot event venue overlooking the meadow at the Historical Park. Will be available for weddings, private event rentals and City events and programming. Highlights: All-inclusive one-of-a-kind playground that will glow at night. Will include a fenced in tot area, zip line, spin zone, glow seating and more. Location: Oran Good Park, 13300 Dennis Lane Current Status: Groundbreaking held in June; construction is underway. Estimated Completion: December 2023
Highlights: Wildlife viewing rest points, pond boardwalk, enhanced entry. Location: John F. Burke Nature Preserve, 1111 Valley View Lane Current Status: Open
Highlights: Updates to the interior of a facility to include a new theater room, sophisticated entry, upgraded game room and more. Location: The Branch Connection, 14055 Dennis Lane Current Status: Currently in the final stages of design and development of construction documents. Construction in 2023 Estimated Completion: Spring 2025
Highlights: New park to include pickleball, tennis, basketball, walking trails, a playground, and shaded picnic tables. Location: Near Chartwell Crest and Wittington Place Current Status: The site developer is nearly complete with grading the area to create level, usable space. Estimated Completion: Fall 2024
Highlights: Sand Volleyball Courts with lights and 4 cabanas with bluetooth speakers; Phase 2 to include pickleball courts and soccer field upgrades. Location: 2870 Amber Lane Current Status: Open - phased construction Estimated Completion: 2024
