Online Registration Many of our activities are available for online registration. Visit our online registration site at farmersbranchliving.com
Register on Time Although participants may still enroll after a class begins,
families are encouraged to enroll in a timely manner. Waiting until the last minute might result in the class you want being full, or if enrollment is low, the class may be canceled. Registration can be done online, in person or over the phone.
Community Recreation Center Class Registration
Youth class registration begins November 1* for December, January and February classes for residents and members. Non-residents who are non-members may register for classes one week prior to the start of each session. *Excluding gymnastics. Please see page 11 for gymnastics registration information.
Class Fees and Dates
All class fees are based on a four-week session per month unless otherwise noted. Classes affected by holidays and other conflicts may be prorated. See instructor or a front desk staff member for details. Holidays may affect class schedules. Check with a staff member for details. Cash, checks, American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa are accepted as forms of payment.

Class Policies
Only registered participants may enter the activity area. Pre-registration is recommended for all classes, unless specified. The enrollment minimum must be met for a class to make. Refunds are available only before a class has started and with approval. To request a refund, contact a front desk staff member. A credit may be issued in place of a refund. Class fees are not prorated based on late enrollment or non-attendance. At the instructor’s discretion, participants may be able to make up a class.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available to qualifying Farmers Branch residents for a variety of activities at the Community Recreation Center and Aquatics Center. See staff for information on how to qualify. A maximum of $100 per child (up to age 18), per fiscal year (October-September) may be received. Financial assistance is limited to one class per session, per child. Payment of 50 percent of class fee is due at time of registration. Ask about financial assistance for supplies as well.
Kids Zone Childcare at the Rec Center
Childcare is offered for children ages six months to nine years. Kids Zone hours are: Monday and Wednesday 9-11 a.m. | Monday-Thursday 5:30- 8 p.m. Saturdays 7:45 - 10:35 a.m. The cost per child is $2 per visit. There is a two-hour maximum stay. Reservations are required by 4 p.m. the business day prior and are limited. Please call 972-247-4607 or email childcare@farmersbranchtx.gov to make a reservation. Reservations are accepted up to two days in advance. A liability waiver and childcare form must be completed and on file for each child. Every child must be signed in and out each time the child visits Kids Zone. Parent must remain at the Recreation Center or Aquatics Center while the child is in care. Children may not attend if they are ill. Approved staff/child ratios will be followed. Doors must remain closed when children are present. All personal items must be labeled. No peanut products are allowed. Payment for childcare services is made at the Recreation Center’s front desk prior to entering the Kids Zone.
Residents who are veterans of any branch of the United States Armed Forces and provide documentation evidencing the person has received a total service related disability rating of 50% or greater from the Department of Veterans Affairs shall be exempt from the payment at the Community Recreation Center, Aquatics Center and The Branch Connection.

FREE with Fitness Membership Whether you are looking for the fun of Zumba or the challenge of Indoor Cycling, we offer a Flex Fitness class that meets your needs. Flex Fitness classes are included at no cost with your Fitness membership. Classes do not meet on holidays. Day passes are available for purchase for non-members. Day passes are valid for any Flex Fitness class and expire at the end of the purchase day. Day passes are available for $5 for residents and non-residents.
We also offer a variety of premium fitness classes. These classes are not a part of the Flex Fitness program and require fees according to the class.

Holiday Craze: 2021-2022 School Year
Winter Break 2021-2022 Session
Holiday Craze is a recreational day camp program operated by the Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Department. Holiday Craze is open to children ages 6-12 years. The program meets from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. most weekdays during C-FBISD holiday breaks at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center, located at 14050 Heartside Place. The program includes on-site activities, entertainment and field trips. Call 972-247-4607 for additional information. Summer Funshine Program
Summer Funshine is a recreational day camp program for children 6-12. The program meets weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center. Activities include swimming, character development, arts and crafts and fitness programs. Free breakfast and lunch are provided on designated days through the C-FBISD’s Summer Food Service Program. Each participant receives a program t-shirt. The Summer Funshine Program meets in accordance with the C-FBISD summer break schedule. Dates are subject to change should C-FBISD alter the academic calendar.

Preschool Preschool Painting with Heidi

Preschoolers can get creative with paintbrushes, sponges, watercolor and their hands. A $10 supply fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class. BRD Academy - Basketball

The academy also focuses on becoming a successful student-athlete and the importance of how school and sports relate to each other. The program is led by Bennett Davison, a former international player. Bennett was also a part of the 1997 NCAA National Championship winning team with the University of Arizona.

Grow Music & Dance Program Dance Team
Saturday | 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Age 11 - 16 $80 Member/$84 Non-member This course is for GMDP Company Members only. New students are welcome to join the first two months of the school semester. No audition is necessary, and all levels are welcome! All GMDP Company Members are required to perform for recitals and will have other performance opportunities throughout the year. Wednesday classes will focus on developing strength, stamina, agility, flexibility and conditioning the dancer’s body. Students will also learn fun and challenging hip-hop routines that will expand and polish musicality and aid in faster routine learning. Saturday classes are for Company rehearsals and learning choreography for performances. Dance or fitness attire, leather pink ballet shoes and leather tan/camel jazz shoes are required. All performance details will be provided by the instructor.

Santa Makes House Calls

Letters To Santa We know you want to make the holidays an exciting time for your kids, and we are here to help you. The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center has made arrangements with the North Pole elves to accept mail for delivery to Santa. Have your kids write a letter to Santa Claus, and they will get a letter from him in return! Please make sure to include a return address, what they want for Christmas, and something about themselves. Letters can be dropped off at the Margaret Young Natatorium November 15 - December 11 during normal business hours.

Are you planning a birthday party? The Frog Pond Water Park or Margaret Young Natatorium is the perfect place for you. Reservations may be completed at the Margaret Young Natatorium with completed forms and proof of identification. Both the security deposit and rental fee must be paid to make a reservation.

Make a splash with your next birthday bash! This package includes 20 guests’ admission and a reserved party area for two (2) hours (Party Room, Froggy Spot, Slide Spot or Lagoon Spot). Additional guest welcome, residence rates apply. Packages starting at $150* *Deposit pricing may vary.
Log Rolling Package
Add Log Rolling to your Activity Pool Rental. For an additional $150 you have two (2) hours of Log Rolling and swimming in the Lagoon Pool. A lifeguard will be in the water conducting activities with the guests. Log Rolling is a safe and fun activity that is a great for all ages and skill levels.

The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center has a 480 square foot indoor party room that is available for rent year-round. The party room includes tables and chairs for guests. Not all levels are offered at all times. Want to learn how to sew? Check out one of the Library’s new sewing machines, available for one-week checkouts. One kit is allowed per Farmers Branch Adult Resident in good standing.
Manske Sprouts Seed Library & Gardening Kits
A library card is not needed to use the seed library. Patrons need only to complete a membership form to record their selections and “checkout” seeds. Patrons interested in checking out a gardening kit will be able to do so for one week (with one renewal). One kit is allowed per Farmers Branch Adult Resident in good standing.

Residents of Farmers Branch are eligible to obtain a full access card at the Library free of charge with a valid photo ID and proof of residency. This card allows patrons to check out up to 50 items at a time, 10 of which can be DVDs, as well as providing access to all of the Library’s digital resources.
