Gateway to the Globe
NEW MULTICULTURAL CELEBRATION ON SATURDAY, MARCH 23 Travel the world. Explore fascinating cultures. Learn about traditions near and far. Do it all in the Historical Park on Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gateway to the Globe, the City’s first-of-its-kind celebration promoting the cultures of residents in Farmers Branch and the greater North Texas region. Gateway to the Globe will feature exhibits, food trucks and live performances representing multiple countries, including Mexico, Cambodia, Ukraine, Turkey, Japan, Sri Lanka, Germany, India and China. For kids’ entertainment, activities will include a “Children of the World” puppet show, the Creature Teacher, face painting and a life-sized globe pinata. Well-known international chalk artist Santos Lozano will also participate, creating his captivating works of art. Admission and parking to Gateway to the Globe is free.
