Meet the Publisher Steve Fisher is regional president and publisher for Adams Publishing Group of Southern Minnesota. Prior to joining Adams Publishing Group, Fisher spent 18 years at Woodward Communications, Inc. in Dubuque, Iowa. At Woodward, Fisher held several titles in advertising and marketing management, and general management. Between 2014 and 2019, Fisher was the publisher of the Tri-State Biz Times, a monthly business publication serving the tristate region surrounding Dubuque. In 2004, Fisher led a transformation of the product from a tall tabloid publication to a magazine format.

He also introduced several themed editions, including an expanded “Women in Business,” and a “Rising Stars” edition, which featured up and coming business professionals who were making an incredible impact on their communities. “Southern Minnesota communities are great settings for business growth and expansion. Meet the Editor Sam Wilmes is a southern Minnesotan through and through. He grew up in the Dodge County town of West Concord and got his bachelor’s in mass media from Minnesota State University, Mankato. After working for 14 months at a South Dakota newspaper, he headed back to southern Minn. For 3½ years in Albert Lea he covered crime, courts and government. These days he’s Northfield News’ associate editor —and
