DO MORE! FEAR LESS.
Envision Blind Sports is a non-profit whose mission is to provide sport and physical activity opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired to promote their lifelong wellness. As an organization, they hold year-round sport and outdoor recreation opportunities for individuals of all ages and have recently expanded into 5 new regions.
One of Envision’s largest regions is Kentucky, with a new addition of a Regional Program Manager who oversees events as well as coordinates fundraising and logistics for Kentucky athletes. Envision’s biggest program is their week-long summer sports camp, held in western PA, that is designed for children ages 7-18. Camp provides athletes with the opportunity to try over 25 different sports and recreational activities, learn

new skills, increase independence and make lifelong friendships. Camp is open to athletes from all over the country, however Kentucky athlete numbers have grown exponentially over the last few years and this year we expect close to 30!
Envision is a non-profit who hosts fundraisers and writes grants to help keep the cost of programs, especially camp, low or affordable. In 2025, the total cost per athlete to attend camp exceeded $1,500.00, but Envision only asks families to pay a registration fee of $600.00. Financial assistance is always available and Envision never turns an athlete away due to financial need. Kentucky athlete attendance has been coordinated by Christi Gage, the new Regional Program Manager, for the last several years. She works tirelessly to cover the cost of not only the registration fee, but transportation to and from camp so families do not have the financial burden of travel.

Individuals who are blind or visually impaired do not have the same access to physical activity, sports and recreation opportunities due to a number of barriers. These barriers include: lack of awareness, lack of understanding vision loss, limited opportunities and accessibility issues. This camp is a life changing opportunity for kids to experience the joys of being involved in competitive sports and challenging outdoor recreation. Every sport is taught by a trained coach, and athletes are able to develop and improve their knowledge and skills. Each athlete learns how sports can be modified to fit their vision level to ensure that they can independently participate. Our goal is for athletes to fall in love with being active and go back into their communities and schools to advocate and participate in local events and school sports.
Camp 2026 will be held at Penn State Behrend University in Erie, PA from July 12th-18th.
Sports offered at camp include: canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, beep kickball, beep baseball, blind baseball, wrestling, golf, judo, dance, archery, tennis, blind soccer, goalball, high ropes course, track and field events, basketball, longboarding, lacrosse, sailing, dek hockey, ice hockey, rock climbing, tandem biking, warrior course, and the mile run.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?
Every dollar matters, so if you are interested in sponsoring Kentucky athletes to attend camp or are looking to help provide opportunities for them year round, scan the QR code or visit https://www. pledge.to/envision-blind-sports-kentuckyregion to donate.

CREATING SPACES THAT FEEL LIKE home
WITH CLASSIC SPACES
F or many homeowners, starting a renovation or design project can feel overwhelming. That challenge is exactly what led Kim Moody to open Classic Spaces, a locally owned home design showroom serving Central Kentucky.
Moody brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction and design industry. After years of working for other people, she decided it was time to open her own business, one that could guide homeowners through every stage of a project, from early ideas to the finished space. Classic Spaces
has been serving the community for about a year and a half, building on Moody’s long-standing experience.
Classic Spaces offers a wide range of products for homeowners looking to update or redesign their homes. Offerings include kitchens and bathrooms, cabinetry, flooring, tile, countertops, home decor and accessories. The showroom is designed to function as a one-stop resource, allowing clients to see and select materials while receiving guidance throughout the process.

One of the most rewarding parts of owning a local business is building relationships within the community.

– Kim Moody, Owner
One of the most rewarding parts of owning a local business, Moody says, is building relationships within the community. She enjoys serving local homeowners and getting to know clients on a personal level. That commitment extends beyond the showroom. Classic Spaces hosts community events such as young entrepreneur markets, serving Quest Farms and other special gatherings aimed at bringing people together.
Supporting locally owned businesses, Moody believes, benefits both customers and the community. Shopping locally allows for more personalized service while keeping dollars circulating close to home. Building relationships with neighbors and reinvesting in the community are core values of the business.
Classic Spaces is family owned and operated. Moody’s family plays an active role in daily operations, helping with deliveries, unloading trucks, managing social media and decorating the showroom. That family-focused approach also shapes the customer experience. Moody works to ensure that every visitor feels welcome, whether they are planning a large renovation, shopping for home decor or simply stopping by to say hello.
One of Moody’s most memorable projects involved a client who purchased his childhood home. The renovation required preserving the memories tied to each room while updating the space for modern living. Seeing the finished project and knowing the client was satisfied remains one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.
Looking ahead, Moody plans to continue expanding product lines and helping homeowners fall in love with their spaces. She is also excited about new spring decor arriving in the store and current design trends, including warm wood cabinetry and softer ivory tones.
Above all, Moody hopes Classic Spaces feels welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. With a focus on honesty, humility and heartfelt service, the business aims to be more than a showroom. It is a place where homeowners and community come together.

BUILT ON TRUST:
HOW PRECISION SERVICES REFLECTS QUENTIN STEVENSON’S COMMITMENT TO CRAFT, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY
F or many homeowners, hiring a contractor can feel like a leap of faith. Concerns about cost, timelines, and trust often make even modest home projects feel daunting. In Central Kentucky, one locally owned company—Precision Services— was created to address those concerns with a steady focus on transparency, craftsmanship, and responsibility to the community it serves.
After more than 30 years working in the contracting industry, Quentin Stevenson, owner of Precision Services, recognized a growing problem in his hometown. Homeowners were struggling to find contractors who were properly licensed, insured, and willing to communicate openly. Six years ago, Stevenson decided to take a chance and build the kind of business he believed Lexington needed.

VISION TO REALITY:
From concept sketch to handcrafted final, this entryway space is maximized with custom built-in cabinets.

What began as a response to a local gap has grown into Precision Services operating with five crews on the road, serving residential and commercial clients throughout Central Kentucky—while maintaining the values that shaped its beginnings.
Born and raised in the area, Stevenson takes pride in operating a business built entirely by local people. Every Precision Services crew member comes from the surrounding community, many from Winchester, and some from lifelong connections dating back to school years. Today, Stevenson runs the business alongside his 21-year-old son, supported by a larger behind-the-scenes family team that helps keep operations running smoothly.
Precision Services offers comprehensive solutions ranging from one-hour service calls to full home renovations. Yet what truly distinguishes the company is not the scope of its work, but the philosophy behind it. Stevenson believes trust is earned through consistency, accountability, and clear communication—principles that guide every project.
Many early customers have remained loyal over the years, forming relationships that feel more like extended family than client lists. Homeowners know who they are working with and trust that questions will be answered honestly and directly, creating confidence at every stage of the process.

WITH YOUR VISION AND OUR PRECISION, LET’S MAKE YOUR RENOVATION A REALITY!
—QUENTIN STEVENSON,
OWNER
Community involvement is a core part of the company’s identity. Stevenson and his team support local sports fundraisers, participate in charity golf scrambles, donate toys during the holidays, and contribute to meaningful causes close to home. One such effort included donating funds to ensure every inmate at the local jail received a pair of socks— an act centered on dignity and care for neighbors often overlooked.
One service Stevenson is particularly passionate about is the Precision Services yearly home inspection program. Designed to identify small issues before they escalate, these inspections help homeowners avoid costly repairs. What may begin as a minor concern can quickly grow into a major expense if left unaddressed, making preventative maintenance a powerful tool for protecting both homes and household budgets.
At the heart of Precision Services is family. Balancing work and home life remains a challenge, but Stevenson believes time must be made intentionally. Annual family vacations, regular gatherings, and shared moments outside of work reinforce the values that guide both the business and the way it serves Central Kentucky. For homeowners thinking ahead about maintenance, repairs, or future renovations, Precision Services encourages a thoughtful, proactive approach to caring for a home—one that prioritizes clear communication, trust, and long-term peace of mind.
