Who is Family Reach?
Family Reach is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between a cancer patient and their treatment. Loss of income, out-of-pocket expenses, and socioeconomic factors create disparities in the financial burdens families face. Family Reach delivers financial education, financial planning, resource navigation, and emergency relief funds to patients and caregivers facing a cancer diagnosis so no family has to choose between their health and their home.

Cancer is a health crisis followed by a financial crisis — and it doesn’t take long for losses in income and increased expenses to start affecting a patient’s ability to access care and heal.
Additionally, social determinants of health like employment, income, housing, food, and transportation create disparities in the financial burdens families face.
The solution:
Our Financial Treatment Program offers wrap-around services that give families immediate relief today while preserving their financial health for tomorrow. As part of these comprehensive services, Financial Planning for Cancer pairs families with pro-bono financial planners for free advice about managing their money during and beyond cancer treatment.
