Refugee Week is an annual celebration that acknowledges and celebrates refugees and their contributions. The theme for Refugee Week 2025 is Finding Freedom: Diversity in Community. The following events are happening in Fairfield City!
LOCAL EVENTS A MEAL AND A STORY Multicultural Affairs Centre
A celebration of food and culture, featuring stories from refugees and cultural music. Meet and greet newly arrived refugees and migrants and learn about their cultural cuisine and experiences. REFUGEE WEEK FESTIVAL Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership
MY REFUGEE JOURNEY Salvation and Cambodian Culture Association
The event will feature a panel of survivors who will share their personal journeys and experiences of finding safety and belonging in Australia. Fairfield City Open Libraries
A festival to celebrate refugees through exciting cultural performances, inspiring stories from refugees and cultural stalls showcasing traditional artefacts, instruments and artworks.
A Refugee Week story time for families to sing songs, explore stories, and make fun crafts. This program is open to families and children.
