Til læreren GRIP er et læreverk for voksne innvandrere som får tilpasset grunnopplæring på nivået under videregående. GRIP 1 engelsk grunnbok dekker kompetansemålene etter modul 1 i læreplan i engelsk for forberedende opplæring for voksne (FOV). GRIP 1 engelsk består av en grunnbok, en arbeidsbok og digitale ressurser for lærer og deltaker. De 25 kapitlene i grunnboken handler om temaer fra hverdagsliv, yrkesliv og utdanning. Alle tekstene følges av nøkkelord, muntlige oppgaver og eksempler på uttale. Bakerst i boken finner du ordlister, fonetisk alfabet, bildealfabet og minigrammatikk. Vi følger gjennomgangsfigurene i en klasse et sted i Norge. Lærer Olav og deltakerne Hassan, Maria, Nimo, Sita, Ali og Yonas kommer fra ulike opprinnelsesland og speiler virkeligheten i dagens Norge. GRIP er et læreverk for voksne minoritetsspråklige som får opplæring i norsk, engelsk, samfunnsfag, naturfag og matematikk på nivået under videregående. Verket kombinerer fag og språkopplæring. Verket består av grunnbok og arbeidsbok til hver modul, i tillegg til GRIPportalen, vår digitale portal for forberedende opplæring for voksne (FOV).
GRIP presenterer fagstoff på en enkel måte. Språket er tilpasset voksne deltakere med lite skolebakgrunn fra hjemlandet. Læreverket betoner praktisk språkbruk og legger vekt på hverdagssituasjoner, studier og yrkesliv.
