1Antes de ritmo y bullicio, Cuba tiene mucho de selva. En concreto el Parque Nacional Alejandro de Humboldt, un latido verde y húmedo en el oriente de la isla, donde la lluvia es memoria y la tierra guarda secretos primitivos. Es uno de los espacios naturales más extraordinarios del Caribe, que celebra 25 años como Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Su aislamiento geográfico ha dado lugar a una biodiversidad única, con altísimos niveles de endemismo. Más de la mitad de sus plantas no existen en ningún otro lugar del planeta, desde helechos arcaicos hasta orquídeas diminutas. En su fauna destacan joyas como el tocororo, ave nacional de Cuba, el pequeño colibrí zunzuncito o raras especies de anfibios y reptiles. Un territorio de 70.000 hectáreas que no solo se visita: se escucha, se observa y se respeta.
ENG Beyond its hustle and bustle, Cuba has a lot of jungle. Chief among these places is Alejandro de Humboldt National Park, a green heartbeat in the east of the island, where rain is a memory and the land holds primitive secrets. It is one of the most extraordinary natural spaces in the Caribbean, celebrating 25 years as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its geographical isolation has given rise to a unique biodiversity, with exceptionally high levels of endemism. More than half of its plant species exist nowhere else on Earth, ranging from ancient ferns to tiny orchids. Wicked revisita el universo de El mago de Oz para contar lo que ocurrió antes, cuando dos jóvenes muy distintas cruzaron sus destinos. Elphaba, incomprendida por su piel verde y su talento fuera de norma; y Glinda, brillante y popular, construyen una amistad tan inesperada como profunda. Esta historia, cuyo salto (y éxito sin precedentes) al cine reavivó el interés por el universo de Oz, nació de la imaginación del escritor Gregory Maguire, autor de la novela en 1995. Wicked revisits the world of The Wizard of Oz to tell what happened before, when two very different young women crossed paths. The Crafts and Trades of Fashion, an exhibition that delves into the invisible crafts that have shaped fashion for centuries. In the rooms of the Palais Galliera, the spotlight is not on the designer, but on the expert hands that weave, embroider, print or create artificial flowers, transforming fabric into narrative. Through 350 pieces, the exhibition traces a journey from the brocade fabric of an 18th-century waistcoat to Balenciaga’s laser printed textiles, passing through Chantilly lace and Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic camellia. La vida cultural del barrio romano de Trastevere es infinita, aunque sigue ciertos parámetros lógicos del legado cultural y patrimonial de la ciudad. Por eso, este espacio funciona casi como una excavación: su actividad se ha ido desplegando en capas, como un yacimiento vivo donde conviven arte visual, sonido, edición y pensamiento contemporáneo. Fundada en 2018, el proyecto funciona como un laboratorio que conecta prácticas ancestrales con lenguajes actuales, a través de exposiciones, publicaciones, proyecciones, ediciones de artista y un sello de electrónica propio. Su localización es clave para entender su identidad, un barrio cargado de estratos históricos, donde lo cotidiano y lo arqueológico conviven de forma natural. Ahora exponen Bar Far (hasta el 14 de marzo), una instalación habitable que es bar y lugar de encuentro.
ENG The cultural life of Rome’s Trastevere neighbourhood is boundless, though it follows certain logical parameters shaped by the city’s cultural and heritage legacy. For this reason, this space functions almost like an excavation: its activity has unfolded in layers, like a living site where visual art, sound, publishing and contemporary thought coexist. Founded in 2018, the project functions as a laboratory that connects ancestral practices with current languages through exhibitions, publications, screenings, artist editions and its own electronic music label. Its location is key to understanding its identity, a neighbourhood steeped in history, where the everyday and the archaeological coexist naturally. They are currently exhibiting Bar Far (until 14 March), a habitable installation that functions as both a bar and a meeting place.

MEDITERRANEAN FLAVOURS IN HARLEM
Llegó a Nueva York desde Valencia con la idea de quedarse un año, en 2005, y lleva ya dos décadas. "La ciudad se convirtió en una escuela vital y profesional, marcando profundamente mi forma de trabajar y de explorar nuevos caminos, tanto en mi vida artística como en mi otra pasión, la gastronomía". Antonio Ortuño (Elche, Alicante, 1970) es artista y chef privado en la Gran Manzana. Vive en Harlem, "un barrio lleno de vida, directo, sin artificios. [...] Sus parques llenos de vida me transportan a aquellos en los que solía jugar al lado de casa".
En Nueva York encuentra la luz de Valencia, también "la vida en la calle, la intensidad de los mercados y, sobre todo, la relación emocional con la comida como acto social". De hecho, como chef privado, lleva mucho de la cocina mediterránea con la que creció a sus propuestas: "Producto de temporada, guisos sencillos y pescado y carne tratados con respeto y precisión. Ofrezco una tradición viva, sin folclore". Y esto lo hace en una ciudad donde todas las cocinas del mundo están representadas, algo casi heroico.

Después de un año en el ojo del huracán por su salida de La Oreja de Van Gogh, Leire Martínez (San Sebastián, 1979) afronta un periodo lleno de proyectos: lanza su primer disco en solitario, inicia gira mundial y presenta la gala de los Premios Dial en Tenerife, en los que Air Europa es la línea aérea oficial y donde, además, recibirá uno de los galardones. Y es que, como ella asegura, está “viviendo un momento muy especial; me siento agradecida y tranquila, disfrutando del camino y de todo lo que está llegando”.
Tu nuevo disco se titula Historias de aquella niña. ¿Qué queda de esa pequeña dentro de la mujer que eres hoy?
Mucho: la ilusión, la curiosidad, las ganas de aprender, de explorar y de emocionarme con las pequeñas cosas. Esa niña sigue muy presente, aunque ahora con más herramientas.
¿Qué esperas de este álbum?
Que conecte con la gente, que quien lo escuche pueda verse reflejado en alguna historia. Para mí, ya es un regalo haber podido hacerlo con libertad y honestidad; todo lo que venga a partir de ahí será bienvenido.
¿Cómo afrontas la gira internacional para presentar este disco al mundo?
Con muchísimas ganas y también con respeto. Es una aventura preciosa, una oportunidad para llevar estas canciones a otros lugares y compartirlas en directo, que es donde realmente cobran vida.
Eres embajadora de Air Europa y te gusta mucho viajar. ¿Cuál es tu destino favorito?
Es difícil elegir solo uno, pero te diría que Asia es mi asignatura pendiente.
Este año se celebra el 30 aniversario de los Premios Dial. ¿Cómo vivís los galardonados ese viaje en avión de Air Europa, todos juntos, con destino a Tenerife?
Es parte de la experiencia. Se vive con mucha ilusión, compañerismo y buen ambiente. Es un momento para reencontrarse, compartir risas y empezar a celebrar antes incluso de llegar.
Tú decides el “modo avión”: ¿ventanilla o pasillo? Ventanilla, siempre.
¿Cómo sueles pasar el tiempo a bordo?
Escuchando música, leyendo, viendo una serie o simplemente descansando. Es un buen momento para bajar el ritmo y dejar que la cabeza viaje también.

Your new album is called Historias de aquella niña (Stories of that little girl). What remains of that child within the woman you are today?
A lot: the sense of wonder, curiosity, the desire to learn, to explore and to be moved by the little things. That little girl is still very much present, only now with more tools.
What do you hope for from this album?
That it connects with people, that those who listen to it can
see themselves reflected in some of the stories. For me, it's already a gift to have been able to make it with freedom and honesty; whatever comes after that will be welcome.
How are you approaching the international tour to present this album to the world?
With tremendous excitement and also with respect. It's a wonderful adventure, an opportunity to take these songs to other places and share them live, which is where they really come to life.
You're an ambassador for Air Europa and you love to travel. What's your favourite destination?
It's hard to choose just one, but I'd say that Asia is next on my list.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Dial Awards. How did the winners experience that Air Europa flight, all together, bound for Tenerife?
It's part of the experience - filled with excitement, camaraderie and a great atmosphere. It's a time to reconnect, share some laughs and start celebrating before we even get there.

How do you usually spend your time on board?
Listening to music, reading, watching a series or just resting. It's a good time to slow down and let your mind travel too.

Joviales cascadas, bosques verdes y blancos, cumbres con nieve perenne y valles salpicados de casas de madera hacen de Suiza una fría estampa en la que el hombre parece estorbar. Pero este ha domesticado la región alpina de Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn, en medio de la franja fronteriza de los cantones de Berna y Valais, dotándola de trenes, estaciones de esquí y observatorios vertiginosos. Hace 25 años, esta área fue incluida en el Patrimonio Mundial de la Unesco, que protege 82.400 hectáreas de gran valor para entender cómo se forman las altas montañas y cómo retroceden los glaciares. Su postal más reconocible es la lengua de hielo Aletsch, de 23 kilómetros de longitud, bajo la cual se esconde una ruta de figuras de hielo esculpidas, el Ice Palace. Arriba, donde más silba el viento, los picos Eiger, Mönch y Jungfrau (el más elevado, con 4.158 metros) se atropellan por rozar el cielo. A ese macizo se llega a bordo de un tren de cremallera que alcanza la estación ferroviaria más prominente de Europa, Jungfraujoch (3.454 metros), a través de un empinado túnel construido entre 1896 y 1912.

ciar como si fuera un purgatorio de almas congeladas hasta el cuello que padecen por sus faltas, deambulando por la cresta a la luz de la luna. “Un día llegamos a una cabaña vieja y solitaria, enterrada en la nieve –escribe–. Es la cabaña del guía Martin Nellen, que nos invita a entrar en la rústica sala de estar y nos cuenta sobre un guía llamado Clemens que se encuentra con pobres almas que llevan cientos de años llorando en el glaciar Aletsch”. Como Martin, una docena de narradores aún cultivan en la zona estas leyendas, y su público contiene la respiración durante sus relatos.
Para experimentar el Eiger, el Mönch y el Jungfrau “con todos los sentidos”, Kappeler recomienda la ruta invernal Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg, que atraviesa un bosque de pino piñonero suizo con árboles centenarios y nudosos que desafían las duras condiciones del terreno. “Aquí y allá, los pálidos restos de troncos muertos sobresalen de la nieve como marfil roto”, dice. A lo largo del trayecto, el caminante curioso advertirá que la fauna es abundante. El biólogo helvético Laudo Albrecht ha fotografiado a decenas de aves (hay 99 especies): de abubillas y mirlos acuáticos a los más grandes quebrantahuesos, águilas reales y halcones. “En salidas guiadas de observación en el bosque de Aletsch se citan con frecuencia gamuzas, marmotas y, con suerte, ciervos o urogallos”, señala. Hay que estar algo más atento para captar íbices alpinos, armiños, rebecos y cabritos. Se dejan ver, sobre todo, al amanecer, con prismáticos y paciencia.
Cheerful waterfalls, green and white forests, snow-capped peaks and valleys dotted with wooden houses make Switzerland a chilly tableau in which humans seem almost of place. But people have tamed the Alpine region of Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn along the border strip between the cantons of Bern and Valais, equipping it with trains, ski resorts and dizzying observatories. Twenty-five years ago, this area was included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List, which protects 82,400 hectares of great value for understanding how high mountains are formed and how glaciers retreat. Its most recognisable postcard image is the 23-kilometre-long Aletsch ice tongue, beneath which lies a route of sculpted ice figures, the Ice Palace. Above, where the wind whistles most fiercely, the peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (the highest, at 4,158 metres) jostle to brush the sky. This massif is reached aboard a cogwheel railway that climbs to Europe’s highest railway station, Jungfraujoch (3,454 metres), via a steep tunnel built between 1896 and 1912.

Swiss journalist Rémy Kappeler has walked with his children along the many trails in the surrounding area, listening to stories about the depths of the great glacier as if it were a purgatory of souls frozen up to their necks, suffering for their sins, wandering along the ridge by moonlight. ‘One day we reached an old, lonely hut, buried in the snow,’ he writes. ‘This is guide Martin Nellen’s cabin, and he invites us into the rustic living room and tells us about a guide named Clemens who encounters poor souls who have been crying on the Aletsch Glacier for hundreds of years.’ Like Martin, a dozen storytellers still cultivate these legends in the area, and their audiences hold their breath during the tales.

THE PEAKS
To experience the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau ‘with all the senses’, Kappeler recommends the Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg winter route, which crosses a Swiss stone pine forest with gnarled, centuries-old trees that defy the harsh conditions of the terrain. ‘Here and there, the pale remains of dead trunks protrude from the snow like broken ivory,’ he says. Along the way, curious walkers will notice that wildlife is abundant.
Swiss biologist Laudo Albrecht has photographed dozens of bird species (there are 99 in total): from hoopoes and white-throated dippers to the largest bearded vultures, golden eagles and falcons. ‘On guided wildlife-watching outings in the Aletsch forest, chamois, marmots and, with a bit of luck, deer or capercaillie are frequently spotted,’ he says. You have to be a little more attentive to catch glimpses of alpine ibex, stoats, chamois and young goats. They are most often seen at dawn, with binoculars and patience.

Los pasajeros podrán elegir entre cuatro menús completos, diseñados para estimular los sentidos y satisfacer incluso a los paladares más exigentes.

Air Europa raises the bar once again for the in-flight experience with a culinary offering that combines innovation, tradition and top-level Spanish talent. Since last February, Business Class passengers on European routes have been able to enjoy a new gastronomic proposal designed by r enowned chef Mario Sandoval, the driving force behind the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Coque.
This collaboration marks a new milestone in the airline's culinary offering, incorporating Sandoval's creativity and personal style into an experience already firmly established thanks to the work of award-winning chef Martín Berasategui, who has been responsible for the Business Class menus on longhaul flights for many years. Together they form an unprecedented duo in Spanish commercial aviation: two culinary icons under one brand, serving travellers.
The new menus stand out for their originality, respect for the product and commitment to high-quality, locally sourced produce. Sandoval creates an experience that allows passengers to travel through flavour, combining technique and gastronomic sensitivity in each dish.
Passengers can choose from four complete menus, designed to stimulate the senses and satisfy even the most discerning palates.
This high-flying duo marks a turning point in airline cuisine, projecting Spain's culinary identity across the skies of Europe and proving that, even at an altitude of 10,000 metres, you can enjoy a first-class gastronomic experience.

Air Europa presentó en FITUR el pedido en firme cerrado a finales del pasado año con Airbus para la próxima incorporación de hasta 40 aviones A350-900. El acto estuvo encabezado por el presidente de la aerolínea Juan José Hidalgo y Ville Arhippainen, responsable de Ventas para Europa Occidental del consorcio aeronáutico.
El acuerdo definitivo, firmado el pasado diciembre, constituye el eje central del proyecto de renovación de la flota de largo radio de la aerolínea. Asimismo, representa la mejor garantía para continuar con su expansión empleando para ello un avión que destaca por su avanzada tecnología y el confort que proporciona su diseño.
El A350-900 permitirá seguir ofreciendo la mejor propuesta de servicio a bordo, especialmente en las rutas con América. Su capacidad, tanto para el transporte de pasajeros como para la carga aérea, se unen a un rendimiento operativo y una eficiencia excepcionales que garantizan el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad de los que ya disfrutan los clientes de la línea aérea.
Air Europa presented at FITUR the firm order placed at the end of last year with Airbus for the upcoming addition of up to 40 A350-900 aircraft. The event was led by the airline's chairman, Juan José Hidalgo and Ville Arhippainen, head of sales for Western Europe at the aeronautical consortium.
The final agreement, signed last December, forms the cornerstone of the airline's long-haul fleet renewal project. It also represents the strongest guarantee for continuing its expansion, by operating an aircraft that stands out for its advanced technology and the comfort provided by its design.
The A350-900 will enable the airline to continue offering the best in-flight service, especially on routes to America. Its capacity, both for passenger and air cargo transport, combined with exceptional operational performance and efficiency, ensures compliance with the quality standards already enjoyed by the airline's customers.

Aitana, que este año ha iniciado su primera gira mundial, CUARTO AZUL WORLD TOUR, se ha convertido así en la primera mujer y artista española en estar representada de esta manera en la flota de nuestra compañía. Air Europa es, además, línea aérea oficial de su gira, volando a todos los destinos donde tienen lugar los conciertos programados, en una alianza que va más allá de lo puramente comercial.

ENG. Spanish cinema has managed to skilfully embrace the classic codes of the thriller genre, reinterpreting them from a sensibility deeply rooted in the reality of the country. Many Spanish filmmakers have incorporated elements such as the picaresque tradition, black humour, economic hardship and social criticism. One example is Los lobos de Washington (1999), directed by Mariano Barroso. The film moves along the margins of film noir, but does so from a very Spanish perspective: disoriented characters, frustrated ambitions and a constant sense of impermanence. Another director who has infused Spanish cinema with high doses of intrigue and suspense is Álex de la Iglesia. In La comunidad (2000), he explores greed, hypocrisy and the double standards of society through a group of grotesque neighbours, blending tension and comedy. This film became the highest-grossing release in the year of its premiere.

FLEXIONES
Con los pies apoyados en el suelo, levanta las puntas. Repite el ejercicio levantando ahora los talones. Repite 15 veces.
FLEXION OF THE FEET. With your feet resting on the floor, lift the tips of your toes. Repeat the exercise, this time lifting your heels. Repeat 15 times.
Sube una pierna a media altura con la rodilla flexionada y el muslo contraído. Bájala. Repite 10 veces con cada pierna.
KNEE LIFTS. Lift one leg halfway up with the knee bent and the thigh contracted. Lower it. Repeat 10 times with each leg.
Con la espalda en el asiento, gira los hombros con suavidad adelante, arriba, atrás y abajo, 10 veces en cada dirección.
SHOULDER ROTATION. With your back against the seat, turn your shoulders gently forwards, up, back and down, 10 times in each direction.
Gira un pie en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj y el otro en el sentido contrario. Cambia de pie. Realiza el movimiento 10 veces.
ANKLE ROTATION. Turn one foot clockwise and the other anticlockwise. Change your feet. Repeat the movement 10 times.
