2026 marks a significant milestone for Air Europa, one that invites us to look back, and take stock of the journey so far and reflect on the future that lies ahead. We are celebrating 40 years of flying, connecting people and destinations around the world. And we do so as a renewed and strengthened airline with the best partners and a solid project designed to take us even further, built upon everything that makes us recognisable and different. At the heart of our unique offering is one of Air Europa’s hallmarks: our fleet. For both shortand medium-haul routes as well as long-haul operations, we rely on modern aircraft that stand out for their advances and high degree of efficiency, as evidenced by how close we are to achieving the emissions reduction target we set ourselves for 2030. We can guarantee that we will continue to follow this path, guided by constant innovation, in the future. Last December, we signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase up to 40 units of its A350-900 aircraft. This represents a decisive step forward in our plan for continuous fleet renewal and reinforces our firm commitment to innovation and sustainability. With this addition, together with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and our new Boeing 737 MAX, we are consolidating our leading position in operational efficiency, comfort and technology, offering our customers an on-board experience with the most advanced models on the market. This announcement is also closely linked to what 2025 has meant for Air Europa, and to what lies ahead. We closed the best financial year in our long history with record figures at all levels. We continue to expand our network of destinations by adding Istanbul and the announcement of Geneva, which will take place later this year. We have also increased frequencies on numerous routes, especially to the Americas, in response to the high demand for connectivity between both sides of the Atlantic. I would also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our entire team for their effort and dedication, those who serve you on board and the thousands of people who work every day to keep our operations running smoothly. Without them, we would not hold the prominent position we enjoy today. Of course, I would also like to express my gratitude for your trust in choosing us. I hope you will continue to accompany us throughout 2026. Our 40th anniversary would not be the same without you. Enjoy your flight. 3

ENG The death of Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf in 2023 came as a shock to the European contemporary art world. In recent years, he had become a leading figure, on a par with other masters such as Mapplethorpe and Peter Lindbergh, exploring gender identity, sexuality, the human body and nightlife. His 2000 series, Royal Blood, featuring a Diana, Princess of Wales lookalike with a Mercedes badge pinned to her arm, is one of his most recognisable works. Now, the Stedelijk Museum is elevating him to the artistic pantheon with its largest retrospective to date, exhibiting all his iconic pieces created from the 1980s onwards by this genius, who was even honoured by the Dutch royal family. // In the heart of Alfama (Largo da Sé 1) stands this temple, which withstood the 1755 earthquake.

ENG Lisbon’s Patriarchal Cathedral is one of the oldest and most symbolic monuments in the country. Built by order of King Afonso Henriques in 1147, the Cathedral encapsulates eight centuries of the city’s history, with styles as diverse as Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, Mannerist, Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic. Now, it will also feature elements of the 21st century thanks to the meticulous renovation by architect Adalberto Dias, who has restored the upper and lower cloisters and created a new archaeological centre that is open to visitors. But the most striking feature of this renovation is the elliptical temple clad in handcrafted mirrored tiles that beautifully reflect the surrounding landscape. 17

‘Historic hotels tend to have a special energy that stimulates creativity. There is something about the visible layers of time, the mix of old and new, that resonates with the way I work.

Antonio Orozco CANTANTE / SINGER

// ENG He's announcing 'The Tour of Your Life' in 2026, which will take him to the main venues in Europe, with the support of Air Europa. CARMEN OTTO

TÚ DECIDES / YOU DECIDE

© Carlos Alvarez/Getty Images

Tú decides: ¿libros o canciones? Definitivamente, canciones.

ENG Antonio Orozco (Barcelona, 1972) says that he is enjoying the most beautiful moment of his life ‘as a musician, composer, writer and father’. And he has plenty of reasons to say so: in addition to his latest album, El tiempo no es oro, there's Inevitablemente yo, the book now in its sixth edition, and the announcement of his tour in 2026, which will be supported by Air Europa. And if that weren't enough, there's also the pride of seeing his children grow up. "They are the greatest success of my life. Everything else is just scenery." Everyone says that time is money, except you. What is time for you at this point in your life? Time is anything but money, because money wishes it were time. Time is something incomparable, priceless. It's the most important asset that human beings have, an invisible asset that you only realise the value of the day you no longerhave it. You say this is the best album of your career. What does it have that the previous ones didn’t? Not only is it the best of my career, but I'm convinced it's also the most expensive. By far, it’s the album I’ve devoted the most time to searching, reconciling, understanding, and composing in my entire life. They say albums are never finished, only abandoned as impossible. I worked on it to the point of saying, ‘I don't know if it can be done any better, but I certainly can't.’ You've also released a book addressing the difficult moments in your life. What was the writing process like? When you dedicate yourself to writing songs, to telling

truths, the thread tends to be the same, although the exercise this time was different. I'd never taken the step of presenting my first book, which is almost a biopic, and I was more afraid than embarrassed. There are other times when I feel more embarrassed than afraid. What's harder: accepting bad times or starting from scratch? The bad times are just as necessary as the good times. This book, which is not intended to be a self-help manual, tells the story of a guy who hits rock bottom and who is really just looking for a way to get back on top. Because through your experience you can help a lot of people... Can you imagine? I don't know if a story like mine is important enough to help other people... You decide: books or songs? Definitely songs. If I sat down at the piano and played any harmony and then started reading the book to you, you'd realise that it's not a book, but a slightly longer song. I don't think there's a single story that couldn't be turned into the most beautiful song in the world. What are your plans for this new year? We are announcing a tour in 2026, The Tour of Your Life, the most important of my career. In 2027, we will visit Latin America and try to leave a beautiful mark.

// ENG Over the past 20 years, the Wynwood district has transformed from a forgotten industrial area into one of the most influential artistic neighbourhoods in the world.

In just two decades, Miami’s Wynwood neighbourhood has transformed from a forgotten industrial area into one of the most influential creative hubs in the world. What was a collection of abandoned factories in the 2000s is now an open-air laboratory. North of Downtown, its vibrant, luminous streets attract a diverse crowd, which clings to the walls as if colour itself were sustaining the entire neighbourhood. No one has shaped its identity more than the Goldman family. In 2009, Tony Goldman inaugurated Wynwood Walls: an open-air art museum composed of monumental murals by international urban artists. Today, it is one of Miami’s cultural icons and a key part of the district’s transformation. As Jessica Goldman Srebnick, founder, CEO and curator of Goldman Properties, puts it: “Wynwood Walls is a laboratory of colour, and I am a fervent believer that artists bring colour to life, reflecting the times we live in. The brush or spray can becomes a tool of expression for urban artists outside the confines of a studio. Wynwood Walls was like giving a singer a stage and a microphone. It amplified everything.” The neighbourhood’s story has been written by creators who sensed the potential of its empty warehouses and disused factories. What were once grey, peeling walls are now canvases lit up by street art. This creative ecosystem also includes galleries exhibiting painting, photography,

digital art and contemporary sculpture, artists’ studios and experimental cuisine that finds its expression in restaurants such as Doya (347 NW 24th St), an ideal spot for sharing flavours from Greece and Turkey. Wynwood is also a hotbed of fashion, design and urban style. Independent shops and emerging brands multiply as if the neighbourhood were a magnet for youth and diversity, both day and night. This is the multicultural pulse that Jennifer Haz, director of communications for Europe at the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, describes: “Miami’s multicultural spirit permeates every part of the city, from delicious cuisine and stunning architecture to world-class museums, vibrant music and public art. You’ll also find authentic cultural heritage experiences, such as the Miccosukee Indian Village, along with free events and festivals such as Cultural Fridays in Little Havana, held throughout the year. Everywhere you look, Miami’s rich and diverse culture shines through.”

ALLAPATTAH, THE NEIGHBOURHOOD NEXT DOOR Wynwood’s creative explosion spills beyond its borders and fuels debates about gentrification, cultural preservation and the balance between tourism and local life. This expanding energy finds a natural continuation in Allapattah, a neighbourhood whose name comes from alapata, “alligator”, and which, like Wynwood, blends the old and the new. With a strong Dominican, Cuban, and Central American presence, Allapattah became the new artistic epicentre with the arrival of the Rubell Museum (1100 NW 23rd St), housed in a vast converted warehouse. The cultural offering expands with El Espacio 23 (2270 NW

23rd St) and Márquez Art Projects (2395 NW 21st Terrace), which serve as hubs for contemporary creation. The Rubell Family Collection was founded in New York in 1964 by Don and Mera Rubell. In 1992, they moved to Miami, where they founded a museum dedicated to displaying a collection that now exceeds 7,000 works and is one of the largest private collections in the world. After its first phase in Wynwood, the museum moved to Allapattah in 2019. The current single-storey space comprises 36 galleries, a restaurant, shop, research library and an interior garden filled with native South Florida vegetation. Artists on display include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons and Yayoi Kusama. In an interview with El País, Don Rubell said: ‘The rooms in this museum don’t just display art, they tell our story as collectors. [...] Our goal is to engage the viewer with the artists, because we want art to be as meaningful to the audience as it has been to us.’

A MUSEUM OF SEX AND IMMERSIVE ART The neighbourhood is also home to projects that challenge the boundaries of the traditional museum. Superblue (1101 NW 23rd St), housed in a former industrial warehouse, offers immersive experiences: light installations by James Turrell that alter one’s perception of space; digital universes by teamLab that dissolve the boundary between artwork and visitor... Also notable is the Museum of Sex (2200 NW 24th Ave), with exhibitions such as Modern Sex: 100 Years of Design and Decency, curated by Dakota Johnson and Éva Goicochea, a historical review of eroticism, censorship and morality from the 1920s to the present day. In Miami, diversity is expressed not only through art, but also through food. The city has become one of the most attractive destinations for foodies thanks to a vibrant mix of Caribbean, Latin American and international cultures and ingredients. Ricardo Jarquin, executive chef at Americana Kitchen (2950 Coconut Grove Dr), the restaurant at the Loews hotel in Coral Gables, stands out in this landscape. His open kitchen reimagines American classics infused with the local freshness of Florida, a contemporary interpretation of regional identity. ‘My cooking always aims to celebrate local flavours, using fresh regional products, but with a creative touch that surprises the diner,’ he explains. His approach is thoughtful and refined: “I focus a lot on seasonality, simplicity and using local products whenever I can. My food is also very technique-based, with pure, clean and natural flavours. There’s no point in working with a great product if you’re not able to prepare it in a way that enhances its natural form.”

© Moris Moreno

There’s a good reason why the Dutch are humorously referred to as kaaskoppen (cheese heads). In this country, Gouda and Edam are just the tip of the iceberg: there are young and aged cheeses, raw milk cheeses such as the artisanal Stolwijk, and even versions with cloves, cumin, pesto, nettles... and even lavender! To discover them all, you have to visit the traditional markets in Edam, Gouda, or Alkmaar.

Every Thursday from April to August, the main square of the beautiful city of Gouda, about 70 kilometres from Amsterdam, is filled with history... and cheese. In front of the Gothic town hall, the kaasdragers parade in their immaculate white suits and horse-drawn carts. These cheese carriers make their way to De Goudse Waag, the Weighing House, where ancient scales still decide the fate of each piece. A few steps away, on Lange Tiendeweg, is ‘t Kaaswinkeltje, Gouda’s oldest cheese shop, which opened in 1880. With more than 200 varieties, this is a paradise for cheese lovers. “A good Gouda >

Every Wednesday in summer, the square in the town of Edam, north of Amsterdam, transforms into a living postcard: wheels of cheese covered in red wax—some 27 million are produced each year in the Netherlands—arrive on barges and are traded in the old-fashioned way, with the classic handjeklap, a handshake that seals the deal. At the heart of this tradition is Beemster cheese, born in the fertile fields of the Beemster Polder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its secret: happy cows, hand-stirred curds, and artisanal patience. Visitors prefer the Young Matured specialty, “with its smooth texture, umami profile, and a fruity explosion that melts in the mouth,” according to its producers. Jong Belegen is the ideal take-away for those new to the world of cheese as well as for the most demanding of palates. The other great cheese event in Holland takes place every. Friday from March to September in Alkmaar, a beautiful city filled with canals that is transformed into the cheese capital of the Netherlands. In Waagplein square, uniformed porters parade with precision in front of an expectant crowd. Amongst the spherical stars of the show, the Lutjewinkel 1916 speciality stands out: they have been producing cheese wheels weighing up to 16 kilos in huge vats that look like something out of a fairy tale for over a century. “We make cheeses that are certified, regional, and have soul. We strive to ensure that every bite brings a moment of happiness,“ says the producer. Their dairy gem is Spicy & Creamy, ”a true symphony of flavour,” they explain. At the market, visitors can buy a pack containing the three most iconic varieties of Lutjewinkel 1916, the perfect souvenir.

On 16 December 2015, Air Europa inaugurated its connection between Madrid-Barajas and Asunción, restoring Paraguay's direct link with Europe after more than two decades.

Ten years later, the airline is celebrating this milestone with record figures and a clear focus on continued growth. In 2025 alone, Air Europa operated more than 670 flights between the two destinations, 15% more than the previous year, and carried more than 202,000 passengers, with an occupancy rate of 91%. Since June last year, the route has been operated daily, enabling the airline to exceed 221,000 seats offered. For this year, the forecast is to increase flights by 8% and reach a total of 247,000 seats. The launch of this route was a milestone for Paraguay. There had been no direct flights to Madrid since 1994, and the arrival of Air Europa opened up new opportunities for tourism and business, strengthening the company's leading position in the region. Over the last decade, Air Europa has operated more than 4,400 flights and carried almost 1.2 million passengers across the Atlantic, with an average load factor of 88%. The route is operated with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, one of the most advanced and efficient models on the market. To commemorate this tenth anniversary, Air Europa held an event in Paraguay attended by representatives of the airline, Paraguayan authorities, the diplomatic corps and travel agencies. Ten years on, the story continues... and the future promises to keep flying high.

From this new platform, currently available in Spain, users can access more than 500 online stores and earn Miles with every purchase, whether it be technology, fashion, health, beauty, home or leisure. The process is simple: users just need to log in to the Air Europa Suma Store from their personal profile on the programme's website, select the desired retailer and complete the purchase on the retailer's own site. Within a maximum of 30 days, the Miles will be automatically credited to the customer's account, ready to be redeemed on Air Europa flights, flights operated by any member of the SkyTeam alliance, or partners associated with the programme.

Spain is a country you can taste from north to south and east to west, so my first piece of advice is simple: curiosity and appetite. Dare to try, to ask questions, to step into bars, to discover markets and to enjoy the cuisine of each region. Spanish gastronomy is a mosaic of unique traditions, products and flavours. In Spain, food is part of our identity: we like to share a table, celebrate good products and put our heart into what we cook.

" Every day I have the opportunity to make someone happy with just one bite" The prestigious chef Martín Berasategui is responsible for creating the menu options on board Air Europa. A collaboration full of flavor and talent. Martín, this year you are celebrating half a century dedicated to gastronomy and you are the Spanish chef with the most Michelin stars. If you had to choose a moment or stage that has marked your career, which would it be and why? If I had to choose just one moment from these fifty years, I would pick the opening of the Martín Berasategui restaurant in Lasarte-Oria on 1st May 1993. That period marked a before and after. It was an act of courage and also of great emotion, together with my wife, Oneka. That was where we were able to pour everything we had learned from our family, our teachers and all of our experiences. That beginning was the spark that ignited a path that I never imagined would bring me so much joy.

How do you think the culinary experience can enrich a passenger's journey and how important is gastronomy in Spanish culture? Gastronomy is a way of telling who we are. A dish explains our history, our landscape, our roots and even our character. That's why, when a passenger takes a bite during a trip, they are beginning to get to know the country before even setting foot in it. And if they travel with Air Europa, they have the best opportunity to start that gastronomic journey in the air: to enter the experience with an open mind and an open palate. A good culinary experience not only enriches the journey, but also turns it into a memory that lasts forever.

What has motivated you to maintain your passion and excellence for so many years in such a demanding industry? My greatest motivation has always been respect for the craft, the product, the team and every diner who decides to sit at my table. Cooking is a tough profession, but it is also a privilege. Every day I have the opportunity to make someone happy with a single bite, and that is a huge motivation. What's more, I love evolution. Gastronomy never stands still, and that constant movement forces me to keep learning, to stay alert and to always give my best. Many travellers enjoy discovering the local cuisine at their destinations. What advice would you give to those who want to explore Spanish cuisine during their travels with Air Europa?
