Is there a “Best Kept Secret” in Pensacola you’d like to share? Happy Hour at Agapi! The food specials are so great (the artichoke spinach dip and gyro nachos are my favorite!) and the wines are quality wines that we are proud to have on our regular wine list!

Faces of SerVice Q+A Jamie Wells Military Branch: US Army Rank: Sergeant Major Years Served: 24 Was there a specific moment or person that influenced your decision to serve? My mother was in the reserves and was always proud to serve, my father was a Marine in Vietnam ,my brother was in the Army and of course as a teenager John J Rambo!
What was your favorite thing about serving? eǦǓ ǦȅǿȅȖ ǩǿ șǓȖΚǩǿǠ ǾΡ ljȅȣǿȠȖΡ șǓǹМǓșșǹΡ ƺǿǏ LjȖǩǿǠǩǿǠ ƺǹǹ ǾΡ men home from four (4) tours of combat .
During your time in service, what was your biggest accomplishment/achievement? Bringing home all my men from combat and seeing them reunited with their families
Can you share something you learned about yourself during your service?
You’re never as good as you think you are, someone has always done more. Be driven to do better but stay humble.
What advice would you give someone thinking about joining the military? If you go, go all in, see the world, embrace challenges and maximize the opportunity. It’s a great life.
Knowing what you do now would you join the military and serve again? 100%.
Was there a leader who impacted you most during your service? Mark Barnes a true friend/mentor a Senior NCO who never forgot where he came from.
How do you stay connected to your community while serving?
I always made sure to expand my horizons volunteer or participate in local events and get to know where I could help. It’s important to not only give back to the community but also to stay relevant and have a presence.
What do you consider to be your biggest achievement in life so far? My children Alyssa, Ashley, Ann Marie, Angel, Brock & Braxton!
