A

nother financial year has come and gone, and we are already a quarter of the way through the new one. Time does fly.

As highlighted in Daryn’s report, we continue to grow our commercial revenue at a rate well above both inflation and our modest levy increases. Combined with the significant growth in our cash reserves, this places Prince’s Grant’s HOA in a strong financial position and provides a solid foundation for the future of the Estate. Rather than list all the positive achievements of the past year, I would simply like to say how incredibly proud I am of the 115 permanent

employees at Prince’s Grant, as well as the many loyal service providers who play such an important role in the success of our Estate. Two of my recent conversations stand out and reinforce just how far we have come: The first was with Guy Smith, the original developer of Prince’s Grant. At the end of our meeting on 11 May, I asked him for his thoughts on the current state of the Estate. His response was immediate: the greatest difference he notices every time he visits is our people. From the security team and grounds staff to the lodge personnel and management, he commented that

everyone seems genuinely happy to be working at Prince’s Grant. He remarked that while the Estate has always been a wonderful place to live and visit, it has also become an exceptional place to work. As a testament to that, I am pleased to share that not a single permanent employee resigned from Prince’s Grant during the past financial year, an achievement of which we can all be proud – homeowners and management alike. The second conversation was with a former Board member, who spoke about the noticeable improvement in relationships and the greater sense of unity amongst our members.

It was encouraging to hear this independent observation, and it echoed what many of us have experienced over the past year. Reflecting on these conversations, I am grateful for the positive feedback and proud of what we have achieved together. While the months and years seem to pass ever more quickly, I continue to enjoy the opportunity to serve Prince’s Grant and remain committed to delivering the greatest possible value to our members.

From the Commercial Manager As we wrap up another exciting quarter, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made across our commercial operations. From investing in our people and enhancing our guest experience to achieving strong financial growth and preparing for another exciting season of events, there’s certainly plenty to celebrate. None of this would be possible without the continued support of our residents, members, guests and the incredible dedication of our staff. Thank you for being part of the Prince’s Grant community.

Staffing & Leadership Updates People remain at the heart of everything we do, and we’re committed to creating opportunities for growth from within our team. I’m pleased to announce that Siphamandla Manzi has stepped into the role of Head Bartender. Along with his increased responsibilities, Spha will play an important role in mentoring and guiding both our senior and junior bar team members as we continue working towards elevating our service standards and strengthening the hospitality culture within the Pub. Congratulations, Spha! We look forward to seeing you thrive in your new position. Earlier this year, we committed to placing greater emphasis on staff development

and ongoing training. Since April, we’ve partnered with a respected hospitality training provider and have already conducted several management and front-of-house service training sessions. It’s encouraging to already see the positive impact these programmes are having, not only in the confidence of our teams but also in the consistency of service delivery and overall guest experience. Investing in our people remains one of our highest priorities. Food & Beverage May 2026 saw the successful launch of our Winter Menu, and we’re delighted by the overwhelmingly positive responses it has received. It’s been incredibly rewarding to read the many compliments and recommendations shared on the Prince’s Grant App. We genuinely appreciate every

review and piece of feedback. It not only motivates our team but also helps us continue refining our offering. One initiative that has exceeded expectations has been our quarterly R99 Lunch Special, which includes a complimentary 300ml SAB draught beer, flying fish, or Corona Cero. Originally introduced after the festive season as a value-driven promotion, it has quickly become a firm favourite amongst both residents and visitors. Our first selection featured Chicken Parmigiana, Steak, Egg & Chips, and Bangers & Mash, all of which proved extremely popular. Beyond providing exceptional value, the quarterly format has allowed momentum to build, with

word spreading well beyond the Estate. We’re thrilled to be welcoming guests travelling from Ballito and neighbouring areas specifically to enjoy these specials, exactly the type of community engagement we had hoped to achieve. The next edition has already been launched in early July. Guests can look forward to: • Cajun Chicken Espetada • Calamari Grilhado • Peri-Peri Chicken Liver Roll Lodge & Facilities Behind the scenes, significant work has been undertaken to ensure our accommodation facilities continue to meet the high standards our guests expect.

Highlights this quarter include: • A complete refurbishment of the Umdoni Suite interiors, creating refreshed, modern and welcoming accommodation. • Pressure cleaning the entire exterior of the Umdoni Suites enhances both presentation and long-term maintenance. • Comprehensive storeroom clean-ups and reorganisations across the operation. These scheduled maintenance projects are carried out at least twice annually and play an important role in maintaining efficiency and housekeeping standards. • A full revamp of the Lodge laundry, improving workflow, organisation and operational efficiency behind the scenes. These continual improvements may often happen quietly in the background, but they

contribute significantly to the quality of our guest experience.

Commercial Financial Performance I’m pleased to report that we concluded the financial year at the end of March on a particularly strong note. Combined commercial revenue across Food & Beverage, Accommodation and Golf recorded an impressive 12.86% year-on-year growth, reflecting the continued support of our members, residents and visitors, as well as the hard work of our commercial teams. The new financial year has started even more positively. The first two months have already shown encouraging growth, driven by increased golf group bookings, conferences, corporate events, functions

and a healthy calendar of social activities. It’s particularly encouraging to see continued growth across multiple revenue streams, providing a strong platform for the remainder of the year. Our annual financial audit was also successfully completed, with our policies, procedures and financial controls reviewed and verified. Audits provide valuable insight into our operations and give confidence that our systems remain compliant, accurate and aligned with best practice. It’s always reassuring to know we’re maintaining the high operational standards expected across the business.

Community Events & Entertainment One of the highlights of the quarter was undoubtedly our Wine Walk with Boschendal Estate, held at the end of February. The event once again attracted fantastic support and created a wonderful afternoon of community spirit, great wines and socialising. Looking back, all eyes now turn to one of the biggest weekends on our calendar, our Club Championships on 4 and 5 July. Each year our objective is simple: make the event even better than the year before. Judging by this year’s programme, we’re confident we’ve achieved exactly that.

FROM THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER

The atmosphere was exceptional both on and off the course. Alongside the championship golf, residents and visitors experienced: • Lawn games around the Lodge and 18th Green. • South Africa vs England rugby on the big screen in front of the Lodge. • Children’s mini cinema each evening, giving parents the opportunity to relax and enjoy the festivities. • Live music on Friday evening featuring Chris Jensen. • Great food, drinks, entertainment and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the vibrant Prince’s Grant community.

To all our competitors, we congratulate you on stellar performances. It was an unforgettable weekend filled with fantastic golf, friendly competition and memorable moments shared together. Thank you once again for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you around the Estate over the coming months and sharing even more exciting developments in our next quarterly update. Regards
