Welcome to the 2024 Exmoor Junior Tennis Racquets Program. This year our hope is to take the great successes of the past few years and grow! Grow the fun! Grow as players and grow as competitors! Our focus for this summer is to make all our junior players the best they can be. Focus will continue to be on fun, but we are making a concerted effort to teach proper techniques, strategy and when ready, have the juniors start to compete in match and point play. The Exmoor Academy, will be offered Monday- Friday from 1:00-3:00 pm (Friday’s match play from 1:00-3:00 pm). This program will be available for kids 7 & up that are committed to hard work and fun! See below for more information!

AFTER SCHOOL SPRING TENNIS
April 29-June 4
Early in the 6-week session, the focus will be stroke production and proper technique. Later, the focus will turn toward point/match play (for appropriate ages). We will use the Quick-Start format for younger players. (If a student is unable to attend all dates, lesson packages are available.)

This practice match play clinic will focus on scoring, court etiquette, teamwork, sportsmanship, and strategy. At Exmoor, young tennis players will have the opportunity to compete against each other in a fun and relaxed environment, allowing them to gain valuable experience. The Tennis Staff will be available on the court to assist students as they navigate their matches. QuickStart courts and balls will be used.

10 GREAT SUMMER SESSIONS!
Exmoor Kidz Klub kicks off its annual activities for kids ages 4+ on June 10 and runs for 10 weeks.
Juniors will participate in several activities including tennis, swimming, basketball, pickleball, paddle tennis, and golf, and will be grouped by age and ability. Kidz Klub is open to all children and grandchildren of Regular and Social Members, no guests please.
Early bird pricing prior to April 1: $560 per week; after April 1: $595 per week.
Drop off and pick up will be at the Tennis Shop. The Oak House will act as home base for Kidz Klub. Golf will be Tuesday-Friday. For any questions contact Mike Rahaley at mike@exmoorcountryclub.org.

SUMMER AQUATIC PROGRAMMING
Over 120 gators competed last summer for Exmoor in our second year of the Big 6! Our gator team ranged from ages 3-14 and they worked extremely hard honing their swim, diving and racing skills. Our gators did a great job, coached by great coaches with only one dual meet loss and a 2nd place finish in the Big 6/Little 6 meet held at Westmoreland Country Club. We held our swim clinics postseason, and introduced for the first time water polo and diving clinics which were very successful. WATER AEROBICS

Water aerobics is available for members and guests ages 16 and above. This one-hour class offers a physically challenging yet adaptable session for all ages and abilities. The focus is on strength and conditioning. Sign up required online.

Dear Junior Golfers and Parents,
The Golf Professional Staff at Exmoor is excited for another great golf season. This year, we will continue implementing new programs to make golf more fun and enjoyable for juniors of all ages. For the 2024 season, we will reintroduce Operation 36 for ages 6 to 17 as our Exmoor Junior Golf Academy.
Assistant Golf Professional Ricky Schmidt has been appointed to lead this year’s Junior Golf programming. He has led many successful junior golf programs throughout his career and looks forward to making this year’s Junior golf at Exmoor exciting and rewarding. This season’s program objectives are:
• Have fun and develop life-long friendships
• Learn the game, rules, and etiquette
• Develop fundamental skills in golf
• Advance in the junior golf program
• Learn to make short-term and long-term goals
• Help create success and assist in processing failure

We will continue to offer our weeklong Junior Golf Week during three different weeks throughout the summer. The Junior Golf Weeks were introduced last year and have been tremendously successful. Participants can develop fundamental movement and golf-specific skills in a fun game-based environment and spend time on the golf course. Also continuing for another season is our Little Linkers program. Little Linkers is designed for juniors ages 3-4, and Pee Wee is designed for juniors ages 5-6, and is a great introduction to the game.

Junior Golf Expo @ The GPC

The Junior Golf Expo is a fun way to kick off the 2024 season. Chris, Ricky, Dave, and John will be at the GPC offering free tips for juniors and will answer questions about the 2024 Junior Golf calendar. Games, pizza, and skills competitions will be part of the afternoon. It’s also a chance for your child to get measured for new clubs, shop our collection of kid’s golf clothes, and try their hand at our own Drive, Chip, and Putt contest. Mark your calendar for a fun afternoon!
Exmoor Junior Golf Academy Spring Coaching Series
Does your junior want to jump-start their golf game this spring? The Coaching Series will focus on helping juniors improve their full swing, short game, and learn golf course management. The coaching series is open to juniors ages 6-17 at any skill level.
The series is a four-week program with four one-hour clinics. The four sessions will include two full-swing sessions, one short game session, and one on-course session. Each series will have a maximum of six juniors. Parents can sign up their juniors individually or set up their own group of juniors. We will have multiple classes during the week. The price for the coaching series is $70.

This coaching program is designed to introduce juniors to the game of golf. They will learn key fundamentals of the swing, game, rules, etiquette, and how to have FUN at the golf course. The ratio is 6 students to 1 instructor.

Junior Golf Week
Tuesday-Friday | 3 Sessions | 8:30 am-1:00 pm | Ages 6-17 | $350
A fun-filled week with instruction on putting, short game, full swing, long-term athletic development, competitive situations, and on-course instruction. Lunch will be provided and campers are divided into divisions by age. Maximum of 12 juniors per session.

Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be in writing via email (ricky@exmoorcountryclub.org). Cancellation must be no later than one week before the first day of camp begins. If cancellation is less than a week before camp or if the camper does not show, members will be charged $225. There is no credit for missed days, no make-up days, and there is no proration of fees.

Junior Golf Academy (6+)
Junior Golf Academy is for juniors ages 6-17. Juniors will meet at least twice per week: one day for practice and Saturday is for playing 9 holes.
The Exmoor Junior Golf Academy uses the Operation 36 framework to struture the program. It consists of Coaching, Playing, and Training programs and is designed to teach golfers to play the game. Each golfer will be issued a profile in the Operation 36 Mobile App to track progress. Juniors will receive a headcover when they register for one season.
We split our academy into three sessions (Spring, Summer, and Fall). Once enrolled in a class, your spot is held for the entire semester and priority for future semesters.
