When someone experiences a brain injury, recovery is not walked alone. Brain injury often has a ripple effect across many areas of life: for the individual and for their whānau (family/support people) and friends. Each whānau journey is different as you navigate this path together.
Together through partnership, respect and aroha (care), we support each person to regain strength, independence and confidence.
Residential rehabilitation is an important stage in long term recovery after severe brain injury or chronic health condition. With ABI's Residential rehabilitation program, your loved one will receive ongoing education, therapy, leisure activities and guidance to support their long term recovery. The frequency of direct therapy changes and is at a slower pace with the focus moving to activities of daily living and leisure activities. This is delivered in our community based houses.
