Evergreen Park thanks Ovintiv for being the presenting sponsor again in 2026 for Evergreen Park’s Indigenous Celebration
Over 6,000 attended the 2025 event - featuring Indian Relay Racing - at J D A Raceway at the Park Over 4,000 were at the first event in 2024
The two-day event is the Park’s way of saluting our Indigenous friends and having them showcase their history and culture
The 2026 event is planned for June 6-7 at J D A Raceway at Gordon Badger Stadium at the Park
The weekend, besides the popular Indian Relay races, will include drummers and dancers as well as an Indigenous trade show under the grandstand
Funds raised through sponsorships and ticket sales will be returned to the Indian Relay racing teams; drummers and dancers; other Indigenous individuals involved in the weekend; and the Park
The community, and companies, support this event by purchasing tickets or sponsorships
Tickets will be on sale through the Evergreen Park website at www evergreenpark ca and sponsor info is available on the back of this page

The color and pageantry of pow wow dancers and drummers is going to be part of a special feature during the weekend Indigenous Celebration at J D A Raceway
June 6-7, 2026
This event will include drummers providing the traditional beat that has become recognized internationally.
Performers will be showcasing traditional dances, featuring Men's/Boy's Fancy, Grass, Men & Women Traditional, Old-style Fancy, Jingle and Female Fancy.
The dancers and drummers will be performing on both the Saturday and Sunday of the Indigenous Celebration event making the entire weekend a wonderful salute to Indigenous heritage and culture
