2025-2026
SUPPORTED BY THE LOHN FOUNDATION, AND METRO VANCOUVER’S REGIONAL CULTURAL PROJECT GRANTS PROGRAM
PRESENTED BY FISTFUL OF KICKS
JANUARY 24, 2026
EVERGREEN CULTURAL CENTRE - REHEARSAL HALL
Vancouver’s premiere East-Asian improv group, Fistful of Kicks, is here for a night of improvised Intergenerational Family Dramedy! Get ready to be whisked away into the world of a dysfunctional East Asian family created entirely on the spot and inspired by you, the audience.
This show has it all. Gratuitous family drama? Check. Riproaring comedy? Check. Sibling rivalries? Check. A sense of struggle to find your place in the world as a secondgeneration immigrant? Check. Unending rivers of gossip unleashed faster than your shocked self can yell “Auntie! SHH!!”? Check, check, triple-check.
Take a break from the real world and watch these comedians explore the relationships, tensions, cultural expectations, alliances, and treachery of a multigenerational Asian family as they navigate generational boundaries and the modern world. And the best part of it all? It’s not your family’s drama that you’re watching!

Fistful of Kicks has been creating comedy magic all around Vancouver and the world since 2017. They’ve performed at festivals all over North America, including Calgary, Seattle, Portland, and Austin, and are a mainstay at the Vancouver Improv Festival and Just for Laughs: Vancouver, in addition to producing sketch comedy for CBC.
This comedy troupe brings their unique wit and shared cultural heritage, to every show they’ve developed and produced, including improv based on East Asian legends, classic Anime series, the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once, 80s Hong Kong Gangster films, and, currently, a multigenerational Asian family dramedy.
Follow them on social media @fistfulofkicks and catch them performing regularly at Little Mountain Gallery in Vancouver.
