Friends on board Eclipse excitement Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox’s luxury Mallorca break FOR more than 20 years, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have proved their friendship extends far beyond a television set. Now the Hollywood stars have reunited once again, swapping Central Perk for the crystal-clear waters of Mallorca, where they were joined by fellow actor Pedro Pascal aboard a luxury superyacht. Photographs published this week show the trio enjoying a relaxed day at sea off the island’s coast. Aniston was seen sunbathing in a black bikini top and coral-pink bottoms before taking to the water on a pedal kayak, while Cox spent time snorkelling in Mallorca’s famously clear Mediterranean waters. Also on board was Aniston’s boyfriend, wellness coach and author Jim Curtis. Although millions know them as Rachel Green and Monica Geller from the hit sitcom Friends, Aniston and Cox have remained close since the series ended in 2004. EXCITEMENT is building across Mallorca as the countdown begins to the rare total solar eclipse which will take place on Wednesday, August 12, starting at 7.38pm. To help visitors plan ahead, authorities have designated nine official viewing locations. These are Circuit de Son Matamoros, Playa de Palma, Ronda de Porreres, Santa Ponsa Beach, Algaida football ground, Pina football ground, the coastal stretch between Maioris and Tolleric, the MA-3220 car park in Petra, and Maioris in Llucmajor. Circuit de Son Matamoros is expected to accommodate more than 70,000 spectators, while Playa de Palma has capacity for almost 48,000 people, making them the island’s largest official viewing areas. With the eclipse expected to attract visitors from around the world, officials are encouraging people to head to the designated sites to spread crowds, avoid congestion and enjoy one of the most spectacular astronomical events Mallorca has witnessed in decades.
