Georgina brings the glamour MALLORCA’S reputation as a celebrity hotspot continues to grow, with Georgina Rodríguez becoming the latest star to be spotted enjoying the island’s stunning scenery. The model, influencer and fiancée of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo was recently photographed during a glamorous swimwear shoot believed to be linked to her recent collaboration with Spanish fashion brand Calzedonia. Rodríguez was seen posing aboard a luxury yacht in the crystal-clear waters off Mallorca’s southwest coast, using the island’s dramatic cliffs and turquoise sea as the backdrop for the campaign. Dressed in a series of elegant swimwear looks, she appeared relaxed as photographers and crew captured the images under the Mediterranean sun. The 32-year-old announced earlier this year that she had joined forces with Calzedonia, becoming one of the faces of the brand’s latest swimwear collections. While the company has yet to officially confirm details of the Mallorca shoot, fans have speculated that the images form part of an upcoming summer campaign.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée turns heads during luxury shoot

Rodríguez has become one of Spain’s most recognisable celebrities thanks to her successful modelling career, social media presence and Netflix reality series. She now boasts more than 60 million Instagram followers and regularly collaborates with leading international fashion and beauty brands.
The visit also adds to Mallorca’s growing list of celebrity arrivals this summer. The Balearic island has long been a favourite destination for high-profile names seeking luxury, privacy and sunshine, with actors, musicians, sports stars and influencers regularly choosing it for holidays and commer-
cial shoots. Rodríguez and Ronaldo are no strangers to Mallorca either, having visited several times over the years. With Georgina now turning heads on another stylish island appearance, Mallorca’s star-studded summer season is well and truly underway.
Saving sands
Island launches beach protection strategy AUTHORITIES, scientists and tourism leaders have joined forces to tackle the growing problem of coastal erosion in the Bay of Alcudia, where beaches in Playa de Muro and Can Picafort have been gradually losing sand. At the same time, sediment has been building up around Alcudia’s port, creating challenges for navigation and increasing the need for dredging work. Rather than simply reacting to the problem, local institutions are now taking a long-term approach. A new agreement brings together the Balearic Government, the Consell de Mallorca, local councils, the Port Authority, hotel associations and research centres to study the causes of the changes and develop practical solutions. The initiative is inspired by the LifeAdapt programme already used in Cala Millor, which combines environmental protection with coastal planning to help reduce the impact of climate change and human activity on vulnerable shorelines. A dedicated working group will now investigate how sand moves around the bay, identify priority actions and seek funding for future projects. Scientists will provide expert guidance, while tourism organisations will help assess the effectiveness of any measures introduced. Officials hope the collaborative approach will not only protect beaches and port infrastructure but also help preserve one of Mallorca’s most important coastal areas for residents and visitors alike.
