Sport and community spirit.
From logistics to safety, every detail appeared carefully considered, allowing the focus to remain on the race itself. One of the standout moments came along the Magaluf Strip, where crowds gathered in droves to cheer on participants. A live band added to the lively atmosphere, giving runners a much-needed boost as fatigue began to set in.
In the men’s race, Carlos Oliver Vives (Atlètic Mallorca) claimed victory with an impressive time of 01:09:15, followed by Chema Martínez (C.A Adidas) in 01:11:56 and Thierry Guibault (Cognac Athletique Club) in 01:12:50. In the women’s category, Lucie Hager
(RMA Paris Racing Multiathlon) secured first place in 01:24:27, ahead of Noelia Perez Panadero (01:29:09) and Louise Cartmell (01:30:56). More than just a race, the event was a celebration of endurance, unity and the power of collective support.

THE recent half-marathon delivered an unforgettable evening of sport and community spirit, with runners setting off at 5.30pm under a blazing sun. Despite the challenging heat, the atmosphere at the start line was electric, lifted by the infectious energy of Bloco Ayan drummers, whose rhythms set the tone for what would become a truly memorable event. The conditions tested even the most seasoned runners, but support along the route was exceptional. Hundreds of volunteers played a crucial role, handing out water, electrolytes and bananas throughout the course, helping participants stay hydrated and energised. Their enthusiasm and encouragement became a defining feature of the race, reflecting the strong sense of community behind the event. Organisation by the local council was seamless, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for both runners and spectators.

Magaluf half-marathon sees amazing community effort
MALLORCA’S ultra-luxury summer season has quietly begun with the arrival of the legendary superyacht Rising Sun in Palma, a vessel long associated with Hollywood’s elite and global power players. Owned by David Geffen, the 138-metre yacht is one of the most recognisable on the water, famed as much for its scale as for its exclusive guest list. In recent years, high-profile names such as Jennifer Aniston, Leonardo DiCaprio and Oprah Winfrey have all spent time onboard, cementing its reputation as a floating sanctuary for the world’s most influential figures. Its return signals the start of a busy yachting season in Mallorca, where marinas fill with some of the Mediterranean’s most impressive vessels. The island continues to draw the super-rich thanks to its blend of privacy, natural beauty and world-class infrastructure, from secluded coves to high-end dining and discreet luxury services. As anticipation builds, so too does speculation over who might arrive next. While sightings are often low-key, the presence of Rising Sun guarantees one thing: Mallorca is once again at the centre of the global luxury spotlight.
