IN a remarkable display of solidarity, amateur cyclists Jose Luis Garcia and Ricardo Perez, aka ‘Ritxar’, have set forth on an epic bicycle odyssey. Their mission is to cover an astonish ing 2,500 kilometres across the pic turesque landscapes of Andalucia. Their goal is to raise funds for a pro ject supported by the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. This project aims to provide bicycles to boys and girls living in rural India, ensuring their safe commute to school. What makes this endeavour even more remarkable is that both Jose Luis Garcia and ‘Ritxar’ are deaf, proving that obstacles can be overcome through sheer determination and a commitment to helping others. They embarked on this lifechanging journey from Sevilla on September 1 and will continue pedalling until Octo ber 13. Under the emblem of ‘Routes of Si lence’, this inspiring duo plans to tra verse every corner of the Andalucian province. Along the way, they have joined forces with the Andalucian Union of

IN the picturesque setting of Nerja, a captivating story unfolds against the back drop of ancient Rome. It’s the year 44BC, and we meet Brennus, a gladia tor on the run, relentlessly pursued by his slaver and accompanied by the enig matic Cyrus, his steadfast henchman. Little do they know that they are not the only hunters in this tale, some thing otherworldly, some thing beyond human com prehension, lurks in the shadows, tracking their ev ery move. This thrilling narrative forms the heart of a short film currently in produc tion, provisionally titled ‘Khepri’. The mastermind behind this cinematic endeavour is none other than Jose Ar jona, who takes on the roles of writer and director, steering the tale through

its twists and turns. The first scenes have been brought to life along side the Aguila Aqueduct in Nerja. In postproduction, this locale will be digitally trans formed to transport view ers back to the Roman era, while still retaining its un mistakable identity, as per Joe Arjona’s vision. The project boasts an in ternational cast and crew, working in the English lan guage. Among them is Mark Hunter, an actor renowned for his recent work on ‘The House of the Dragon’. Behind the cameras, the Weaver brothers, Elliot and Zander, take on the roles of directors of pho tography. Their expertise shines through their previ ous collaboration on the film ‘Cosmos’, available across various digital plat forms.
