KING VISITS

KING FELIPE VI presided over the cer­ emony for the delivery of the 2023 Royal Commissions to 125 new lieu­ tenants of the Spanish Air Force, 10 per cent of whom were women. These of­ ficers successfully completed their studies at the General Academy of the Air (AGA) in San Javier, Murcia. The ceremony, which began at 10am with the arrival of His Majesty the King, took place in the courtyard of the General Academy of the Air in San Javier. The battalion of students, along with authorities, family members, and friends of the academy’s students, to­ talling nearly 1,000 guests. In addition to King Felipe, the event was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Force (JEMA), Gener­ al Javier Salto, the Colonel­Director of AGA, Pascual Soria, and other military authorities. THE Águilas Tourist Train offers locals and visitors alike a delightful experi­ ence along the beautiful seafront of Aguilas. This tourist train ride of­ fers a great way to ex­ plore the town’s seafront, showcasing stunning views of the sea. Depart­ ing from the port daily during July and August, the train runs from 8pm to 1am, departing every hour on the hour.

Throughout the tour, the train stops at various locations, and passengers can get off at any point to explore the town’s no­ table landmarks and at­ tractions. With affordable ticket prices of €5 for adults and €3 for children, this is an adventure suit­ able for all ages. It is the perfect activity for the en­ tire family. They actively participated in the ‘Blind Solidarity March’ through the streets of Torre Pacheco, gaining a deeper understanding of the chal­ lenges faced by individuals with visual disabilities.
