THE Costa del Sol is preparing for a scorching summer in terms of visitor numbers, with a surge in hotel occupancy rates. The Costa del Sol Hoteliers Association (AEHCOS) an­ nounced in a report on Thurs­ day, May 25 that it predicts a remarkable 85 per cent occu­ pancy rate for hotels in June, a 4 per cent increase on last year’s figures. Torremolinos takes the lead as the most popular des­ tination, with an astounding 92.67 per cent occupancy rate forecasted.
