ONE of the Costa del Sol’s brightest gems, Mi jas pueblo, has been named as the only town in Andalucia on a list of the most beautiful parts of Spain to spend spring. El Periodico’s presti gious Viajar magazine has praised the white washed town for its winding streets and clas sic Andalucian looks. Explaining why Mijas is such mustvisit in spring, the magazine said: “The flowers of Mijas are the protagonists during spring. The white facades of the town of Malaga
are covered with small pots overflowing with flowers, creating an in credible maze of colours in the heart of the Costa del Sol.” It is not the first time this globallyfamous des tination has attracted the spotlight. Both big British and American ti tles have previously named Mijas as one of the most important places in Spain to visit for its traditional beauty and buzzing local busi nesses.
