IN a heart-warming tale of community, love and support, a fundraising event in Pinar de Campoverde sets out to help the family of a brave young boy called Cody. Cody was born with a life-threatening condition called esophageal atresia, and many in the local community have already rallied around parents, Pinja and Johnny. In an update from Cody’s mum in July, it appeared the young boy’s condition had vastly improved. “I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of

you,” she shared with those who attended a similar fundraising event, “I couldn’t believe the amount of people were there and all the money raised. Thank you so much, nobody realises how much all the support means to us and what a relief we have got with all the donations.” The Facebook post from late July, continued, “Cody is still in hospital, but he is able to eat normally and breathes without help, so he is getting stronger and back to himself slowly but surely. He is having pains with tracheostomy and obviously is not keen on hav-

FILM MAKERS and film fans are in for a treat as the Santa Pola City Council announces the eighth Villa de Santa Pola 2020 Autonomous Short Film Competition. Film makers will be eager to participate in this competition, which is set to be held at the Municipal House of Culture on November 12 and 13. Entries for the event, promoted by the Department of Culture, Youth and Linguistic Normalisation, have already begun with the deadline set for 9pm on October 5. The contest will have two categories; General and Local Youth, the latter aimed at young people from Santa Pola between 12 and 18 years old. Volunteers Needed Golden Anniversary surprise T H E E a s y H o r s e C a re R e s c u e Centre are looking for more volunteers. The well-known Costa Blanca charity has been around since 2008 after founders Sue and Rod Weeding met Luceiro, a two-yearold stallion. T h e y o u n g stallion was found locked in a filthy dark stable, his left eye badly injured and rotting, hurling himself repeatedly against the bars of his stall as flies drove him crazy. Unable to walk away from such a distressing case of animal cruelty, they brought Luceiro home, and the centre was born. Today, the centre cares for around 90 horses, ponies and donkeys who

have been saved from abuse, and they need your help. Every day the fields have to be cleaned to help keep the flies at bay, prevent infestations of worms and to provide a hygienic and pleasant environment for their equines to live in. T h e y work in teams to help make it easier for this to happen and they are looking for volunteers to join these teams. Bodybuilder Wins Bronze A BODYBUILDER from Guardamar has taken a bronze medal in the IFBB Diamond Cup and Elite Pro bodybuilding competition that was held in Malta over the weekend. Local competitor, Ram Nahal, who was representing Spain at the event, won the medal in his category. The IFBB Diamond Cup in Malta qualifies towards IFBB Elite Pro and IFBB World Ranking 2020, making Nahal results all the more important. This International competition was attended by more than 40 participating countries from Europe, Africa and Asia, with a large number of different bodybuilding categories being judged.

Help for Age Concern elderly Beneficiaries AGE CONCERN, in Costa Blanca, is on the look-out for more volunteers as many of their elderly beneficiaries are unable to leave their homes during these uncertain times as Covid19 cases continue to rise around Spain. The wonderful charity, who have just reopened their centre in La Siesta, are looking for people who can spare a couple of hours a week to help those that are less able. Help with shopping, trips to the pharmacy, and general assistance would be highly welcomed by the charity as well as the beneficiaries they’ll be helping.

IN a heart-warming story, the University Hospital of Torrevieja, Alicante, granted permission for a surprise Golden Anniversary ceremony, in which María and Eugenio Recuero celebrated 50 years of marriage. Eugenio Recuero, admitted to hospital on May 25, was surprised by a nurse on Sunday August 23, when she asked him to get dressed because ‘they were going down a secret hallway.’ Waiting at the end of the corridor was Eugenio’s wife, two children and two grandchildren in what was a small and intimate ceremony conducted by the hospital priest. The Golden celebration was not going to be spoiled by his admission to hospital, according to his wife María, who said “we usually celebrate our anniversary every

Summer School Success THIS year’s Summer School in Orihuela experienced a great turn out despite Covid-19 restrictions. A total of 472 children, from four schools in the municipality, participated in the event organised by the City Council's Department of Education. A magistrate in the Contentious Chamber of the Higher Court of Justice of Murcia and national spokesperson for Judges and Judges for Democracy, explains that “parents have the obligation to take their children to receive an education. For this reason, those who encourage truancy face jail time, fines and in the worst of cases, the loss of parental authority.” There is a Penal Code that mentions non-compliance with the obligation to educate children leads to imprisonment of three to six months. The magistrate, Ascensión Martín,

compares these events with “when someone does not want their son to have a blood transfusion and a judge agrees that they do,” and says she doesn’t understand parents who “now tear their clothes and say their children cannot go to school when the children have spent the whole summer in the parks, playing with other children.” The magistrate added that education “is better in person - if it were only virtual the situation would be horrible since not everyone has an iPad or the Internet or a parent to explain Chemistry.”

Finally Found A YOUNG man was rescued in Cala Reona after Local Police in Cartagena were alerted to a potential incident when people reported hearing cries for help. The 18-year-old was not visible to the passers-by who could hear his cries, so they subsequently phone the police. After arriving on the scene, and making several attempts to locate the young man, he was finally found by the officers. The officers found the young man, who had suffered a fall the previous day, unable to move due to a serious injury to his ankle. The 112 rescue services and fire department were notified of the location and carried out the rescue on the relieved young man.

Tennis Player dubbed a ‘Child Prodigy’ CARLOS ALCARAZ GARFIA, the young Murcian tennis player, is being dubbed a ‘child prodigy’ after becoming the second Spanish player after Rafa Nadal to win a Challenger tournament following his achievement in Trieste. The 17-year-old, who has been described as being a ‘physical marvel’ and having ‘remarkable skills,’ managed to overcome Italian, Riccardo Banadio, in straight sets to triumph in the tournament. The win helped add 105 ATP points to his ranking and sees him move up 90 places in the ranking to claim a place in the top 220. In addition, he pocketed a prize of €12,500 in cash. Alcaraz, from El Palmar in Murcia, became the 15th youngest player in the history of tennis to win

A 20-YEAR-OLD man from the Murcian town of San Javier was finally sentenced to 18 months in prison, by the British judicial system, after vandalising and damaging Picasso’s famous painting, ‘Bust of a Woman,’ back in December 2019. Shakeel Ryan Massey struck the painting, which is estimated to be worth more than €22 million, several times before throwing it on the ground. ‘Bust of a Woman’ by the Malagaborn painter, was being displayed in London’s Tate Modern Gallery when the incident took place. The young man, who completed a bachelor’s degree in Plastic Arts at the University of Cartagena, planned the attack calling himself ‘El indiako d’el Mirador.’ Massey said goodbye to friends in a note he shared on social media, exclaiming, “I don’t think it will be one of the best of our times, but it will be the most prolific, and I hope to be back in a couple of years having achieved everything you thought I was capable of and more.” The letter ended with a ‘long live Mur-

Reservoir Death THE body of a young man was discovered in a reservoir in Crevillent after he was reported missing following a swim with friends. The tragic incident occurred in the Crevillent reservoir, an area which is strictly forbidden to swim in. A total of four friends

had gone swimming in the reservoir, but when one of them did not return, they alerted both the Benemérita and Local Police of Crevillent. After a search, members of the Special Groups of Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Guardia Civil were

called and recovered the body of a 24-yearold man. The councillor for Security and Police, Josep Candela, reported that the disappearance occurred around 4.30pm on Thursday August 27, before the tragic discovery at around midnight.

THE cities of Salamanca and Valladolid return to Phase 1 in shock announcement with the new restrictions being put in place today Thursday September 3 despite Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s insistence that he will not put the entire country into a State of Alarm, however more and more regions are utilising the new powers given to them to move backwards to contain outbreaks in their area. From today it will be forbidden for more than 10 people, either in private or in a public place to gather in Salamanca and Valladolid. The local government in the area have justified their decision due to the sharp rise in infections and mortality in the region. Veronica Casado highlighted that there is clear evidence that there is “community transmission” in these areas which needs to be curbed and they have requested

the cooperation of the central Spanish government in their efforts. The new measures, will affect a wide range of interpersonal gatherings with funerals and wakes now only allowing a maximum of 15 people in outdoor spaces or 10 in enclosed. Churches, weddings and other civil celebrations, the maximum allowed capacity will be 50 people outdoors and just 23 indoors, without exceeding one third of the venue’s total capacity. The hospitality sector will also suffer as clientele may not consume inside the premises unless seated at a table. Whether inside or on a terrace, this cannot exceed six people and masks are compulsory. At the time of going to print, with Salamanca and Valladolid returning to Phase 1, it is now concerning for the rest of the country as to which area will be next.

Inspirational Oscar completes mammoth fundraising challenge in record time TRULY inspirational Oscar O’Sheehan, 11, has completed his mammoth fundraising challenge to raise funds to create a sensory garden on the Costa Blanca in record time. The huge-hearted young boy from Denia has walked the final stages of the Camino de Santiago - 300 kilometres - with ever-supportive mum Niamh, raising more than €3,000 for the special facility at the La Xara Occupational and Day Centre. And while the feat was expected to take 15 days, the pair completed it in 12, walking an average of 25kms every day. Niamh told Euro Weekly News: “We got home on Thursday, August 27 and were absolutely shattered. You just keep going when you’re walking, you can’t let it get to you, but as soon as you stop it hits you. “We’re thrilled to have completed the walk in 12 days as there’s a lot of difficult terrain, mountains, rocky roads and dirt paths, as well as towns and vil-

lages.” The venture began two years ago when Oscar asked his mum if he could walk the Camino Santiago. “That’s not like going for any old walk, it’s a pilgrimage!” said mumof-three Niamh, a well-known singer on the Costa Blanca. In October 2018 and October 2019 determined Oscar covered 470kms of his incredible challenge. The plan was that in October 2020 Oscar would tackle the final 300-plus kilometres of the camino from Leon to Santiago de Compostela. “However, as we all know, 2020 hasn’t quite gone to plan,” said Niamh. To avoid Oscar missing more school after months of lockdown, it was decided he would walk his final 300km of Camino Santiago through the tricky tracks and trails of Galicia in the very early mornings of August. The idea to create a sensory garden came about after a visit to the Occupational & Day Care

centre in La Xara where he saw first-hand the “vitality and importance of this place.” Oscar asked Director of the Centre, Ana, “how can I help?” and she explained that they often dream about installing a sensory garden adapted for special needs. The Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU) surveyed almost 4,400 people in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Zaragoza, Malaga, Murcia, Palma, Las

tio of 35 bikes per 10,000 inhabitants - five times more than Madrid. In addition to the ‘extensive’ cycling network, Valencians rated positively the public rental system and the specific parking areas available. When it came to improvements which could be made, they

suggested improving the intermodality of the bike with public transport and highlighting a ‘certain conflict’ between users of scooters and cyclists. The OCU, which promotes the use of the bicycle with its ‘Go green’ campaign, claims that 22 per cent of those who do not travel by bike in any city would do so if there were sufficient infrastructure, including safe parking. This backed up by the fact 29 per cent of those questioned have had a bicycle stolen in the last five years. Some 64 per cent of participants agree with a statement in the survey that their city council should install more cycle paths.

The objective of Project Costa, a non-religious and non-profit organisation, is to dress and feed the less fortu-

nate on the Costa Blanca, as well as offering a rehabilitation programme for up to three people at a time in a half way home they are refurbishing in Benitachell. The team want to get alcoholics and drug addicts off the streets and back into society. Baby steps is the name of the game, founder Arne Soeten told Euro Weekly News, acknowledging that while they - Arne, Matty, Steve, Inge and Caroline have a dream to help those in need, it will take time and support. “We are renting the property in Benitachell and are currently cleaning and painting it to make it a halfway home and a soup kitchen.

“We are starting from scratch, pumping a lot of our own money and time into this project,” said Arne, who together with Matty, has experience of living on the streets and wants to give something back to the community. “We want to start by feeding the homeless, giving out clothes and sleeping bags. As we get to know them, we will be able to see who wants a second chance at life and we will help them get back into society. “If we can help one person achieve that, then the project is a success for me.” Matty added: “We have both been in that situation. We are not the only ones out there who want to

ISOLATED: Valencian town of Benigànim PUBLIC health authorities in the Valencian town of Benigànim have imposed a lockdown in the area for 14 calendar days as a result of an increase of infections caused by Covid that the town is currently experiencing. Figures had been much higher than expected and rose from 34.24 per 100,000 inhabitants in the week ending August 16, to 994.46 in the last seven days. Councillor, Ana Barceló, has pointed out that “It was a difficult decision, but a necessary one.” The limitations came into force on Monday, August 31, and entailed the confine-

ment of the municipality, that is, the entry and exit of people are restricted except in several cases: going to the doctor, going to work, returning to the usual place of residence, caring for the elderly, minors or dependents, force majeure or any other activity of a similar nature. The circulation by roads that pass or cross the territory of Benigànim will be allowed, as long as they have their origin and destination outside of it. Likewise, face-to-face educational and training activity is suspended in all centres and levels, including nursery schools.

Hotel occupancy HOTEL occupancy in Valencia Community fell 70 per cent in July compared to the same month last year. And the Covid-19 pandemic has seen the average income per room slump 60 per cent, while the number of overnight stays dropped from three million to just 1,129,971 compared to 2019. According to the data, released by the hotel association, Hosbec, Benidorm was the hardest hit in the community, with 85 per cent less occupancy, recording just 192,061 overnight stays during the high season. As well as a sharp fall in occupancy and income, the Benidorm-based association recorded a 50 per cent reduction across the community in the number of employees who have returned to work within the hotel sector. In Benidorm, this figure is higher, with 2,003 people employed in hotels in the resort, representing a 69 per cent drop on the same period last year. Valencia Province has seen a 61 per cent drop in overnight stays, with 43 per cent less workforce, and in Gandia the figures for July are 62.7 per cent and 46.8 per cent respectively. On Sunday, August 23, Benidorm associations representing the tourist industry held a peaceful protest in the resort, attended by more than 1,000 people,

in response to recent restrictions announced by the Spanish government on August 14. Nightclubs, discotheques and similar venues have been ordered to close for the forseeable future, while bars and restaurants must close at 1am, with no new patrons after midnight. Spanish Health Minister, Salvador Illa also announced a blanket ban on smoking in public if a two-metre distance between smokers and others cannot be maintained. One of the organisers, independent shopkeepers’ association, AICO, said the demonstration was prompted by the government’s continual absurdities and lack of organisation or planning during the health crisis,” and added that past and present policies are penalising businesses while burdening them with debts. They and other associations have joined forces to call for a meeting “as a matter of urgency,” with PM Pedro Sanchez and the president of the Valencian Community, Ximo Puig. They want to see a manifesto agreed by all entities, relating to “social, labour and economic matters,” implemented immediately, “in order to ensure the survival in the short and medium term of the business fabric of all sectors.”

Electrified Cable Chaos QUICK action from Local Torrevieja Police and fire departments prevented residents in the Salt City from getting seriously injured after an electrified cable fell into the street. The incident occurred on Calle Clemente Gosálvez , at the intersection of Avda Diego Ramírez, on the night of Tuesday August 25, when an electrified cable detached itself from the main steel intern. Local Police secured the scene by cordoning off the roads to stop cars and pedestrians from getting hurt, whilst the firefighters from the Vega Sur Fire Station resecured the cable. Thankfully, no-one was hurt at the scene and after using a ladder truck to secured the cable, firefighters and police deemed the area safe to reopen.

FIVE people were injured in a horrific traffic accident in Elche, with a 13-year-old boy having to be airlifted to hospital by emergency helicopter. The incident happened when two cars collided on the LA Marina highway, leaving medical services

working hard to stabilise those involved. The 13-year-old boy suffered multiple injuries that were unable to be treated by medical staff at the scene, meaning an emergency helicopter had to be called and the boy was airlifted to the General Hospital of Alicante.

Three women involved in the crash were transported to the Vinalopรณ Hospital in Elche, with one of the women, a 45-year-old, suffering serious injuries. A 39-year-old man who was treated for multiple injuries and transferred to the General University Hospital of Elche.

The local authority has launched a new website www.elcampelloseguro.co m - which is the ‘main link’ in an ambitious information campaign on the measures that the population should adopt in the face of the virus, while promoting appropriate behaviour to avoid contagion. The website, an initiative of the Department of Public

Health led by Rafa Galvañ (PP), includes a detailed explanation of the hygiene and health behaviour guidelines to be followed when at home, work or in public. It covers a wide range of scenarios, the vast majority of which are public facilities, such as beaches, parks, educational centres, the House of Culture, the Social Centre, shops, markets, sports facilities, the cemetery or places of worship. It also explains the dos and don’ts in the street, during physical activity, sports

activities or stays in biohealth areas. And to make the new portal more effective, it is operational in five languages: Spanish, Valencian, English, French and German. The website is linked to the municipal social networks, so that any user can share the content in the chosen language. The council has planned different outreach campaigns for all of its social networks and the contents of the site will be constantly updated as the situation evolves.

Stranded LIMITED capacity on public transport is already beginning to show signs of being problematic to users in the Murcia region. Surfs Up SURFS UP: New surf area in Orihuela. THE Department of Beaches in Orihuela has set up a dedicated surf area for those that enjoy riding the waves. The area in Cala Cerrada, which is the only beach on the Oriolano coast that, according to experts, has the optimal conditions and characteristics for surfing, was chosen in a collaboration with a group of surfers who practise this sport on the Oriolano coast. The decision to make a specific area available to practise the sport, was an-

A WOMAN has died and nine other people i n j u re d i n a h o u s e blaze in Valencia. Two of those injured suffered ‘very serious burns’ in the fire at the three-storey property in the town of Xirivella which started on the first floor at around 3.30am on Wednesday, August 26. All victims - four women and six men aged between 21 and 68 - were ‘poisoned by smoke inhalation,’ according to Bombers Consorci VLC. And three of those hurt have been hospitalised in a ‘serious condition.’

It’s still not known what caused the fire, which affected neighbouring properties, although first signs point to an overloaded plug socket, according to Efe. The blaze was under control by 4.30am, and extinguished by 6am.

New Safety Measures EDUARDO DOLÓN, mayor of Torrevieja, announced that the City Council, in

collaboration with Torreivieja Hospital, will be introducing a number of

precautionary measures in order to comply with Covid-19 regulations.

Performing serological tests for Covid-19 on all teachers of the schools of Torrevieja, which is around 1,100, will commence a few days before the start of the new school year. Other measures set to be introduced are: the creation of a Covid coordinator for schools, access control strategies and the presence of health personnel in all schools. The Covid coordinator post will be the main source of information and questions regarding the virus and the relevant protocols, the access control strategy involves safe entry and exit from the school and the health personnel will make sure all safety and hygiene measures are being complied with. These measures are being introduced, according to the mayor, “to generate tranquillity and security to the families of the almost 11,000 students who will start the school year at the beginning of September.” The City Council also announced that cleaning hours are to be extended for Infant and Primary schools.

THE Valencian Community’s regional Health department is in two minds about the Radar Covid app. Functioning in eight regions and soon to be rolled out nationwide, the app warns users who have been in close contact with someone who has Covid19. Some Valencia region health professionals question its efficacy, while others cannot understand why it is not yet in use. “I’m not sure about the real advantages,” Francisco Valls told the LevanteEMV newspaper. THE Valencian Community had fewer visitors this summer, but there was no reduction in drownings. Thirty-seven people lost their lives in the sea, swimming pools or reservoirs during July and August, compared with 30 during the same period in 2019, announced the Spain’s Royal Federation of Rescue and Lifesaving (RFESS). Fifty-three people drowned between January and late August, 10 more than last year, the Federation said. Fifty-four per cent of this summer’s deaths occurred in Alicante Province, 29.7 per cent in Valencia and 16.2 per cent in Castellon. Males accounted for 80 per cent of fatalities and more than half were over 65. This summer also saw the deaths of eight children, five of whom were six or under. The sea took 27 lives this summer, most of them outside the timetable when

lifesaving services were active on the beaches. Another six people died in swimming pools and four in reservoirs although no fatalities were reported in rivers. Although the summer

season is over these sombre figures could rise, the RFESS warned, as the Valencia region’s benign climate allows swimming during September and even later.

Flamenco-fusion GOING through some old papers recently, Cecilio Gonzalez came across some lyrics that he wrote in 1983. “I never did get round to finishing the music,” he told the Euro Weekly News. “Then it occurred to me to send it to a young friend Sauwy Perez, a singer-composer who lives in Altea.” To Cecilio’s amazement, in less than an hour back came a video with Sauwy’s flamenco-fusion version of Soy Feliz which, arranged and produced by Chiclana-based Marko Katier, has recently been released. “But there’s more to it than that,” Cecilio told us. Years ago, he wrote a catchy song, En Benidorm which goes back to his time with a group in Benidorm during

Political Viewpoint from Spain by DAMON MITCHELL THE Spanish Parliament’s summer recess is over. President Pedro Sanchez has a difficult couple of months in front of him; he will have to deal with the pandemic, national budget, and possible vote of no confidence. The media has spread during the summer recess, worrying Covid-19 figures. The spike in the numbers seems to coincide with the regional governments imposing stricter rules concerning the use of face masks. The government will have to study if face masks provoke a viral load (amount of virus in the blood), which in turn affect the PCR tests which are screened on the general public. No other country in Europe has seen the pandemic figures rocket like the Spanish and most of the European countries have relaxed rules compared to Spain concerning the use of face masks. Meanwhile, the first agenda on the restart has been the

GOVERNMENT: Madrid’s Congreso de los Diputados. new school year, which has left many parents worried, due to the constantly increasing cases which are broadcasted by the news organisations. The key to securing the national budget is for Sanchez to keep together his minority coalition government as the Podemos party has made it very clear to Sanchez’s Party (PSOE) that if

they reach an agreement with Ciudadanos, they will consider in which terms they will back the budget. Moreover, the agreement with Ciudadanos would also anger the separatist Catalan parties who on more than one occasion have warned Mr Sanchez that they are not interested in the governability of Spain.

Before the summer recess, the right-wing party VOX stated in congress that they would try to instigate a vote of no confidence, however, this seems very unlikely to progress. Nevertheless, the PSOE have their attention on the regional community of Madrid where they won the last elections, but fell far from the majority needed to rule. It seems that the good relationship that Ciudadanos and PSOE have had over the last few months could culminate in a possible vote of no confidence against the PP party which governs the community. What could happen next both epidemiologically and economically depends on how Pedro Sanchez deals politically with the upcoming agendas. Sanchez has to try to curb the pandemic, without jeopardising the already battered economy. However, he seems to have washed his hands, leaving the communities to deal with the

problems. And as an example, the magistrate José Mariño didn’t permit the strict restrictions that the Murcia government tried to impose, stating that it was not proportionate that because 0.2 per cent of the population is infected, it doesn’t mean that the rest of the 99.80 per cent of the healthy Murcia people have to be restricted. Moreover, the European Community has bailed out Spain with €140 billion which should help Mr Sanchez secure the national budget. However, Europe has also requested austerity measures which have dwindled the ambitious social agenda that the coalition originally announced. In addition, Mr Sanchez’s constant flirtings with Ciudadanos has also provoked unrest in many of Podemos’ leaders. Therefore, there is no consensus even within the government which leaves Mr Sanchez with many ongoing issues to get to grips with.

Repsol product AS oil companies prepare for the inevitable phasing out of petrol and diesel, so they are looking for alternatives ways of using their product in a way which significantly reduces harmful emissions. Spanish giant Repsol is to invest €32 million in creating Spain’s first plant able to produce high impact resistance polymers. It will be based in an existing factory in Tarragona and because of its lightness yet strength upon impact, the product is very useful in the automotive industry for bumpers and door panels.

Lack of Spanish octopus FISHERMEN specialising in catching octopus in Spanish waters have nev­ er had such a poor catch according to representatives of the San Mar­ tiño Fishermen’s Association in Gali­ cia. Speaking to the Spanish press they indicated that this year’s catch is just 10 per cent of what was expected which will push prices up for this

very popular cephalopod. The octopus has a short life­span of just two years and under Spanish law, any caught which weigh less than one kilo must be returned to the water and normally they exceed that weight when they are about one year old. able food or other factors can affect their breeding pattern and it may be that they are simply maturing late. For years it was thought that it was not possible to farm octopus, but a breakthrough discovery in 2018 means that it may become a commercial option within the next few years if the wild species contin­ ue to decline.

EU / US tariff reductions agreed

Can they use the pool? I am the president of a community in the Valencian region. Our administra­ tor informs me that a precedent has been set by a judge in this region which ruled that a community can stop debtors and their renters from using the swimming pool if community fees are not paid. YOU AND THE LAW IN SPAIN The Alicante provincial court ruled in 2016 that a community may prohibit debtors from using the pool by passing an in­ ternal regulation. This decision does not es­ tablish a precedent for other courts to cite. In fact, it goes against the general opinion. The DGRN, which oversees the work of Registries and Notary offices, has ruled that the only pos­ sible way to establish such prohibition is by in­ cluding it in the original charter document of the community. This charter can be amended by a unanimous vote of the members. The debtor has already lost his vote in the AGM but courts have ruled that for such an impor­ tant vote requiring unanimity he may cast his vote. He will probably vote against the prohi­ bition.

SIR RICHARD BRANSON has agreed the Virgin Group will inject £400 million (€440 million) of new cash into a £1.2 billion (€1.3 billion) res­ cue plan to save the Virgin Atlantic Airline. Creditors including share­ holders, banks, aircraft own­ ers and suppliers owed money were faced with a complete collapse of the air­ line by the beginning of Sep­ tember, so they have agreed the new plans. If approved by the High Court in London, the plan should allow Virgin Atlantic 18 months in which to re­ cover.

WHILST Boris Johnson caught crabs in Scotland, a joint state­ ment from the European Union and the US government suggest­ ed that the EU had caught a real deal to eliminate certain tariffs in­ cluding those on US shellfish. The statement issued by United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and European Union Trade Commissioner Phil Hogan said that they had reached agreement on a package of tariff reductions that will increase mar­ ket access for the EU by €135 mil­ lion ($160 million). Under the agreement, the EU will eliminate tariffs on imports of US live and frozen lobster prod­ ucts. US exports of these products to the EU were over $111 million (€94 million) in 2017. The EU will eliminate these tariffs on a Most Favoured Nation (MFN) basis, retroactive to begin August 1, 2020. The United States in return

will reduce by 50 per cent its tariff rates on some products exported by the EU to include certain pre­ pared meals, certain crystal glass­ ware, surface preparations, pro­ pellant powders, cigarette lighters and lighter parts. “As part of improving EU­US re­ lations, this mutually beneficial agreement will bring positive re­ sults to the economies of both the United States and the European Union. “We intend for this package of tariff reductions to mark just the beginning of a process that will lead to additional agreements that create more free, fair, and reciprocal transatlantic trade,” said Ambassador Lighthizer and Commissioner Hogan. Whilst Britain still tries to ob­ tain its own special deal with the USA, this is the first tariff deal done between the EU and USA in more than 20 years.

Rolls Royce asset sale THE company that manufac­ tures Rolls Royce engines has suffered considerably from the pandemic and the lock­ down and is looking to sell a number of subsidiaries to raise €2.2 billion. Marked for disposal is Span­ ish based engine and turbine manufacturer ITP Aero and with a €2.19 billion loan due to be repaid by October 2021 it needs cash as quickly as pos­ sible as well as a return to pro­ duction of engines. With 4,000 staff lost so far, it expects to shed a further 5,000 across the group this year.

Carrefour plans takeover THE French Supermarket Group Car­ refour is spending an estimated €78 million to take over 172 Supersol stores in Andalucia and Madrid. It intends to convert them to Ex­ press or Market stores and some will

become rebranded as part of its dis­ count Supeco collection. Many Supersol stores appear to have become ‘tired’ with little inno­ vation or renovation and Carrefour expects to be able to improve sales

and increase footfall as well as intro­ ducing pick up points for online or­ ders. As Spain becomes a more impor­ tant market for Carrefour, this is its first major Spanish acquisition since

it took over 36 Eroski outlets as long ago as 2016. The purchase will have to receive formal approval from the regulators, but it is hoped that the sale will be completed by the end of this year.

Latest currency news Over the last month we’ve seen fairly jittery trading in the currency market as concerns about the tra­ jectory of the global economic re­ covery grow. The pound performed fairly well in August, with the GBP/EUR ex­ change rate advancing from lows of €1.09 to highs of €1.11. GBP/USD has also pushed higher in the last four weeks, with the pair­ ing rallying from $1.28 to $1.32. EUR/USD’s performance has been less consistent, with the euro fluctuating between $1.17 and $1.19. What’s been happening?

CURRENCY MARKET: Concerns over the global economic recovery. Over the course of August the pound managed to advance against several of its rivals despite signifi­ cant hurdles at home and abroad. Renewed Brexit jitters and con­ cerns about an impending UK em­ ployment crisis limited Sterling’s potential for gains, but the cur­ rency still closed out the month higher against both the euro and

the US dollar. While reduced demand for safe­ haven currencies weighed on the US dollar for the first half of the month, with USD hitting a two­year low mid­August, the currency was quick to bounce back. Ongoing concerns about the glob­ al economic outlook and future risks to international growth have driven

investors away from higher­risk cur­ rencies, giving the US dollar room to recover some of its recent losses. Finally, the euro has been losing ground on fears that the resurgence of coronavirus cases in Europe could hamper the Eurozone’s recov­ ery. The negative impact of the resur­ gence was highlighted in August’s preliminary PMIs for the Eurozone, which detailed a stalling in growth. What do you need to look out for? The pound’s uptrend could come to an end in September. The wind­ ing down of the UK’s furlough scheme is expected to trigger a wave of new redundancies and a sharp spike in the unemployment rate. Such an outcome is likely to weigh on demand for GBP. Demand for the pound will also

be undermined if progress in Brexit negotiations remains limited. However, if the coronavirus situa­ tion in Europe deteriorates further (weakening the euro in the process) the GBP/EUR exchange rate’s losses may be limited. Over in the US, political risk will start having more impact on the US dollar in the coming weeks as cam­ paigning ramps up ahead of Novem­ ber’s presidential election. We are all so bewildered

I DO believe I’m actually losing it. Alright alright. I can hear the cackles of agreement from here! No, usually I am pretty resilient but I’ve recently begun to realise this whole Covid thing is finally getting to me. It’s not that I’m bored. With three radio shows a week, a blurb to churn out, six cats, a dog and a home to run, boredom is undoubtedly not the problem. I also count my blessings that I am easily in touch with family and friends. So why is it suddenly all going so mentally pear shaped? It’s not only me experiencing this reaction, I’ve also noticed an ever increasing number of colleagues and friends, many of whom have been quite positive in the past have been posting their misgivings and doubts on social media. Well obviously the threat to our health, the masking, social distancing, travel restrictions and financial worries are grinding us all down, but it goes far deeper than that. I believe the main reason so many of us are sinking into such a mental state of despair is that we don’t have an end date. It is a

CURRENT NIGHTMARE: When will it all end? proven fact, that many of the mental breakdowns, unrest and violence in our prisons, often have a direct link to the date of a prisoner’s release. Apart from those who will never be freed, offenders never know the actual date of their release until it is determined by either a judge, or a parole board. The result is a kind of limbo existence. A period of uncertainty as to the future, which if it goes on too long

can lead to all kinds of problems, both mental and physical - and we are experiencing exactly the same trauma. ‘Stone walls do not a prison make.’ We are in fact all serving a term with no end date. There is nothing definite in the future to look forward too. If we were told this whole nightmare would be over on say July 6 next year, we would certainly moan and gripe about how long we had to wait, but

at least it would be something definite. We could start to cross the dates off on our calendars. We could begin to make plans. We could count sleeps! As it is we have no idea when, or even how this nightmare will end. Slowly but surely we are being worn down and mentally exhausted by the uncertainty of it all; plus the fact, that with the unprecedented nature of the situation, it is glaringly obvious our leaders are as bewildered as we all are. Is it all a conspiracy? Well, we are borrowing trillions from someone out there. Are these faceless individuals gleefully breaking out the Dom and Coronas, congratulating themselves that their dastardly plot is going even better than they anticipated? What worries me is the person that finally does deliver the planet an ‘end date’ could well be hailed as the new Messiah. Perhaps thats the whole idea. Something’s rotten in the state of Poland

BARRY DUKE WHENEVER I meet up in Benidorm with my Polish friend Krzysztof the conversation turns to the latest lunacy emanating from his former homeland, fast becoming as much of a theocratic basket case as Iran or Pakistan. At our last meeting I laughed in disbelief when he informed me that Poland’s Department of Agriculture was the latest government department to attack LGBT communities. It claimed that gays tend to be vegetarians or vegans, hellbent on destroying the country’s meat industry. This is borne out by an article in ‘Notes from Poland’ which reported that a 2019 documentary film revealed that while veganism ‘may seem innocent’, it is in fact an ‘unethical and immoral ideology’ seeking to bring about an ‘anti-Christian and anti-human revolution’ by ‘taking apart social, cultural, economic

The weaponising of religion by neo-fascists has reached such fervour that, in August, dozens of authors, artists and scholars expressed

outrage at the hostility being directed toward Polish LGBT people by the country’s President Andrzej Duda and other far-right politicians. In a letter of ‘solidarity and protest,’ they wrote to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, calling on the EU to defend human rights values that were ‘being blatantly violat-

ed in Poland.’ It said: ‘Homophobic aggression in Poland is growing because it is condoned by the ruling party, which has chosen sexual minorities as a scapegoat with no regard for the safety and well-being of citizens.’ When the UK began experiencing a large influx of Polish immigrants following the EU’s 2004 enlargement, the RCC in Britain was jubilant, believing that the newcomers - coming from a deeply Catholic country - would inject new life into the church. After reading a report about the church’s optimism, I approached a number of Polish friends, and asked whether they were among those upon whom the church was pinning its hopes. All said ‘absolutely not!’ The general view was that they’d escaped a country crippled by Catholicism, and were absolutely done with religion. After the disastrous Brexit vote, which unleashed a terrifying wave of xenophobia, many Poles felt compelled to pack up and return only to find their homeland more in the grip of religious insanity than it ever was before.

CONSULAR MATTERS IN these troubled times it seems that we live from crisis to crisis. Many citizens have found holiday rentals are a way to increase family income by renting rooms in their own houses; or their second homes, to tourists compared to those who use this possibility to hide a business activity. The abuse by those who act irregularly offering services more typical of a hotel business or ‘Bed & Breakfast’ rather than a private activity of renting rooms in your own home, has led to the need to regulate this ‘activity’ in view of the lack of a special law to resolve this type of situation. The Spanish Treasury took part in the matter and forced the platforms (Airbnb, Vbro, Booking ... etc) to promptly report all the income obtained by the owners as a result of said activity and now it will be the municipalities who

will claim their share, in the form of licences or permits to develop that business activity. The hen that lays the gold-

en eggs of vacation rentals is being encircled, due to the multitude of problems or conflicts that have arisen on some occasions due to the

lack of regulation. The law is behind the reality and despite the fact that after the reform of the law in 2019 that incorporated the possibility that the Communities of Owners can prohibit, limit or condition vacation rentals, the truth is that this measure has not been very successful in requiring large majorities to take the agreement, because in the end it is a limitation to your ability to use your private property within your own home. And now, suddenly, we find ourselves with the surprising news that in Barcelona the renting of a room in your own house to tourists has been prohibited. Indeed, the government of Catalonia has left this possibility in the hands

of each city council and Barcelona has been the first to do so. In this way, for a year, no one else will be able to request a licence to share their home with tourists. And this news has spread like wildfire without perhaps understanding exactly what has actually been prohibited. In any case, the owners of tourist apartments can continue with their rentals if they are already registered. A new rule to try to prevent some property owners take advantage of camouflaging an illegal hotel or ‘Bed & Breakfast’ activity by renting rooms as a private holiday home. It’s too Darn Hot GAVIN LAMBE-MURPHY IS it just me, or has August 2020 been the weirdest month? For me, it seems to be dragging along, like a bad break up, that refuses to end. Usually a month when we all wind down, to a pace that is acceptable for the final days of a glorious summer, this year it just feels like the days are longer and without the usual freedom. I wake earlier and sleep earlier, as I am exhausted from the crazy heat. Dare switch the aircon on, and risk a sore throat, which in tur n makes us panic, as to the possibility of the dreaded virus. Switch it off and lie in bed thinking if we should take the risk, and get some sleep. Don’t get me wrong, I am very used to summer in Marbella, but this year just feels hotter than before. Getting anywhere further than the pool for a swim is an effort, and trying to navigate the streets, while wearing a mask has become something of a game for me. I now have my routes through Marbella firmly in my mind, before venturing out. In fact, knowing which streets are shaded, at which time of day, could become a handy tourist map, or even app, if only we had some tourists. On Wednesday, I decided to head to the Old Town for a stroll around, and possibly some lunch. Remember those days when the very idea of over crowded back streets was a no no? God I miss those days. I was beyond saddened to see the almost empty bars, restaurants and stores around Plaza de Los Naranjos. Smiling waiters standing, staring out from their deserted terraces, stores closing a little earlier for siesta, and reopening later, in the hope of any passing trade. Mid-afternoon feels like 8am, and the only people moving around are the Amazon delivery guys, who always appear busy. Having lapped the streets and re-

COOLING OFF: Sitting in the shade in Marbella Old Town. turned back to where I began, I decided to stop and get some ice cream. Chatting with the guy at the ice cream parlour, he explained that most days he serves perhaps 10 customers, as opposed to his usual hundreds. He, like so many, fears for the long winter ahead of us. He made me feel guilty, so I bought an extra scoop of pistachio. Who am I kidding? I didn’t feel guilty at all. As I sat on a shaded street, I realised in many ways how fortunate I am. To see the Old Town of Marbella clearly, and without people, it really is a very special place. Steeped in history and filled with the most interesting little shops, selling hand made shoes, art, and perfumes. Yes, August 2020 has been a strange month, but it finally ended, and now we enter autumn. In the words of another fabulous Irishman, Oscar Wilde, ‘and all at once, summer collapsed into fall.’ This summer may have been somewhat uneventful, but it certainly was chilled. So, now let’s hope the temperatures cool off too, and people return to the streets.

OUR VIEW Better safe than sorry PROTECTING the children of the world surely must be one of the most important things for many people, parent or not, something that makes us control our own habits and ways that we act. After all, as the song says “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.” Up until not long ago, news centred on a ‘child’, Greta Thunberg, lecturing us on how we must change our ways to protect future generations from climate change. Now we are faced with the confusion of doing what we are told is the best for our children, masking them, to keep them safe from Covid 19 or not forcing them to be masked and saving them from the psychological stresses and possible longlasting health damage that may occur. Many questions have been asked, from the simplest, how will I get my child to physically keep the mask on? What if they refuse? How can I monitor them keeping it on or keeping it clean? To the more serious, will some kind of stigma evolve from hiding their faces? Will it create problems with important communication as they grow? Is it a distraction from learning? We wish somebody had the answers to both of these sides of questioning. Right now, it is an added fear to the ones we have about keeping ourselves safe. We are forced to wear these masks when the packaging they come in tells us they cannot stop a spread of the virus. But isn’t it better to be safe than sorry? In the UK it is now compulsory for schoolchildren in higher education to wear masks in communal areas, but they do not need to in classrooms. Surely this bit of give and take or compromise is something we can handle for a while? Let’s push forward and make sure our children are the future and Covid becomes a thing of the past.

Unfortunately, it is true that bad news sells well and in reading your customers’ comments it is ironic that the ones that receive so many reactions on Facebook are the ones people want to argue about. Anyway, a little debate doesn’t hurt anyone as long as people realise it need not be personal. I do see some people going too far and wish they would just take it easy on each other, it does sometimes creep very close to bullying. I’m really worried about the future MIKE SENKER IN MY OPINION Views of a Grumpy Old Man I’M really worried about the future of the economy. Not so much for the multi-billion corporations but for the little guys that we called the ‘mom and pop’ stores back when I was in business. People working from home when they don’t have to be are not helping all the small businesses that exist on their custom. The hair salon, the small cafes and small independents are suffering and many will go bust. A lot of these people will not be able to get any help as they are self-employed and there is nothing in place for them. The black cab drivers in the UK are in a terrible position right now as are Uber and other official cab drivers. Many depend on ‘airport runs’ which are just not there any more. To add to the misery another weapon being used now is the fake reviews. Competitors are now buying fake reviews to damage other peoples’ businesses. Negative reviews can be pretty detrimental to a brand. It can destroy a repu-

tation in a matter of days or hours. It is possible, without a lot of effort via the internet, to find companies that will write fake reviews for a few cents each. I saw recently a small company in the UK that was doing great until a lot of bad reviews popped up online and with a few weeks they were ruined. They somehow managed to trace them all back to individuals working in India and being paid per review. It is illegal to do this in the USA, but I’m not sure if it’s outlawed in the UK. If not, it should be. OK something a little less serious that makes me very grumpy too. Bread is complicated. I don’t like normal sliced bread that has so many chemicals in it that it seems fresh for ages. Then one day you look at it and it’s now kryptonite green glowing in the cupboard. I like one we call five seedy bread that you can buy in a famous Spanish supermarket chain. But it has one major problem. It tapers at each end so you can only get two or three decent size sandwiches then a couple of small ones. The rest is useless and finishes up with two massive thick lumps. Why can’t it be made the same size all the way through? Will be on Talk Radio Europe tomorrow at 11.30am with Bill Padley being grumpy.

GOOD morning, class. No talking at the back, please. I’d like to begin with another few moans. I did a straw poll among my friends (only the finest of scientific and journalistic methods for this column, folks) about their biggest gripes. Top of the list: M&S and the BBC - and their latest problems. First up, M&S (and its 7,000 job losses) where the only items I buy now are plain, unobtrusive items like tights and, err, knickers. Anything that doesn’t scream ‘M&S’. Their core clothing strength has always been their multiple sizes and lengths (attracting those who want short, medium or long). Something to fit everyone, and good quality items in classic styles that fit the lessthan-perfect figure perfectly and British made, preferably. M&S should stick to those core principles. Not try to please everyone all the time

and frankly not succeeding in pleasing anyone at any time. M&S should be leading the way in producing British-made, non-fast fashion, good quality high street staples. If they cost a bit more, so be it. But they should be worth the price because they are timeless classics.

Currently, they’re making overembellished tat and charging too much for it. No wonder customers are looking elsewhere. As for the BBC, reports that the BBC’s main evening bulletins could be obsolete within a decade as more people turn to their phones and iPlayer for

news comes as no surprise. Slowly damning itself into extinction, the BBC is politically-biased and rapidly losing out to others as regards quality, productivity and general coverage. Much like M&S, the BBC spends too much time chasing

an audience/customer who is not going to go there while taking traditional supporters for granted. Neither organisation has learned its lesson. Result: declining interest in what they have to offer. Unlike the BBC, M&S doesn’t have the cash cow of a compulsory licence fee, however. But one thing’s certain: both institutions need to start thinking long and hard about how they’re simply going to survive in the 21st century... The Definition of Cyberbullying DIONE #SAYNOTOCYBERBULLYING LOCKYER CYBERBULLYING is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic means. Cyberbullying and cyberharassment are also known as online bullying. Harmful bullying behaviour can include posting rumours, threats, sexual remarks, a victims’ personal information, or pejorative labels (ie hate speech).[2] Bullying or harassment can be identified by repeated behaviour and an intent to harm.[3] Victims of cyberbullying may experience lower self-esteem, increased suicidal ideation, and a variety of negative emotional responses including being scared, frus-

trated, angry, or depressed.[4] Social media is a part of many peoples lives, and with social media, comes trolls and cyberbullies. The statistics show that 77 per cent of students admitted they been bullied within their lifetime, with 44 per cent advising it has happened on the last 30 days. It now appears that it is not only teenagers and children that have become a victim of cyberbullying but grown adults too. A whopping 53 per cent of adults in Europe have confirmed that they have either experienced or witnessed cyberbullying in 2020. But do those who cause others pain understand the im-

pact their words have on others? Should we now make it an illegal offence? Or do we try to educate those that cause the pain? The effects of cyberbullying can sometimes be fatal. The statistics of a study showed that 30 per cent of bullying victims have suicidal thoughts, 10 per cent of those victims have attempted to take their own lives. How do we put a stop to this? The psychology behind cyberbullies is lack of self-worth and attention. It doesn’t matter whether it is negative or positive attention, people who take the time to pick holes in others, via an electronic de-

vice are so desperate for attention, they will go to any length to achieve it. Most suffer from a lack of confidence or other negative mindset issues, yet are too scared to face them. Many people do not like to admit to their flaws, they see it as a weakness. To change your mindset takes work and commitment, for some that is too hard therefore, the easier option is to point the finger at others in judgement. The fact it, cyberbullying needs to be stopped! One loss of life, is one life too many. We are ALL responsible and can all do our part to

#makeadifference. Be Mindful Before you eagerly comment on a public forum, ask yourself the question. Is this helpful? Is it necessary? is it kind? If the answer is NO to any of these scroll past. You never know the effects your words can have on others. You do not know what they are going through. The last thing you would want, is to know that your words caused someone to take their own life! If you witness it, speak up, but not with anger. Educate those who are causing the pain. By using education, rather than hate, I truly believe we can turn it around.

Young people should feel free to open up about their Mental Health MS BIPOLAR UP AND DOWN WITH BALANCE UNEDITED I HAVE suffered from bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder for the last nine years. I am on the road to recovery and learning how to manage my illness and living a fairly normal life. In opening up about my struggles in my weekly articles, I want to show young people that it’s okay not to be okay. I think it is especially hard on young people; they have a perception that they need to be emotionless, strong, brave, cool, and that they need to have their life sorted out at a young age. I think the world needs a real change. Luckily I am still here today to talk about these issues. We are getting to a place where people are able to open up a lot more. But not we’re quite there yet. Young people are affected by this on a daily basis . Yet we still do not have the resources to help people immediately in need. I was lucky enough to have supportive people in my life. A loving family. Lucky enough to still be here today, able to open up about my struggles. Unfortunately, at the time, my demons took over, I lost friends, isolated myself, self harmed, abused alcohol; I was living someone else’s life. A life that wasn’t my own, or should I s a y some-

one was living it for me. I began my recovery through medication, therapy sessions with a phycologist, weekly visits with a psychiatrist. A well balanced system that worked for me. I stuck out counselling for almost four years, on and off. It helped me to grow strength and build back up my confidence. I am in a much better place now. There are still bad days. But they come and go. I am happy - I put on a front. I socialise, I laugh, I smile, I live. But this doesn’t mean I am indestructible. I am vulnerable and still battle EVERY DAY. This is what people need to realise: We do not know what is going on in people’s lives; what’s happening in their minds. For me - it was as simple as a chemical imbalance in the mind. That was all it took to change my life forever. It completely took over me, changed me. I wish when I was that young, hurting, fearing for my life, I should have spoken about it, about how I was feeling. I wanted a hand to hold but was to scared to ask for help. I realised I needed help a little too late, and this doesn’t have to be the case, we should speak up, nobody has to suffer alone. I want to live in a world where we stop judging, where we stop criticising and tearing each other apart with every little mistake; where everyone who experiences a mental health problem can turn to their family and friends without fear. I promised myself I will fight in every way to help make this possible. Now I want to pass my strength to the people who need that hand to hold in their dark times. We need to stand together and gain confidence to speak out! In every dark time there is a bright light. Never give up. Never surrender. Never lose hope. Classic performance CLASSICAL music lovers are in for a treat next month as the Torrevieja Symphony

Orchestra take to the stage. The orchestra will perform for the first time this season

at Torrevieja Int. Auditorium on October 24 and 25, at 7pm. Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra was formed in 2008, and its repertoire includes all eras and styles of music, ranging from baroque to contemporary music. Soloists of renowned prestige, such as José Sempere, Diego Tárrega (Tenor), Oksana Solovieva and Pedro Ferreira Carneiro (Violinist), as well as invited conductors, like Master Sainz Alfaro, have collaborated with the orchestra. The Torrevieja Sympho-

ny Orchestra has performed symphonic-choral concerts at the new Int. Auditorium of Torrevieja, as well as in the ADDA (Auditorium of the Province of Alicante), undertaking works such as The Messiah by G F Haendel or the Requiem by Mozart and the 9th Symphony from Ludwig van Beethoven, with great success and acclaim by the public and the press. Seizures in Dogs and Cats: It’s Not Just Epilepsy EPILEPSY is one of the most common neurological problems in cats and dogs. Epilepsy is defined as a chronic neurological disorder characterised by recurrent epileptic seizures. It is not a specific disease it is a clinical sign, although most of the time it is an idiopathic epilepsy, which means that it does not have an identifiable cause. Epileptic seizures can also be secondary to metabolic, toxic or processes that directly affect the central nervous system. If the dog is older than six months and younger than five years, it does not present abnormalities in the general and neurological examination, normal laboratory tests, there are no alterations in the MRI and most likely it is an idiopathic epilepsy. If the age of onset of seizures is before one year or after five years, it is unlikely that it is epilepsy and other causes must be ruled out. The only way to rule out intracranial causes is to perform the MRI test. It is important to rule out other causes of seizures such as meningoencephalitis, which frequently affect toy breeds such as Yorkshire Terriers, Toy Poodle, Lhassa Also, Bichon and Chihuahua. MRI is also necessary for its diagnosis. In the case of cats, it is always advisable to perform resonances once extracranial alterations have been ruled out. Other plus points include an interior that looks smart and feels well put together, with a welcome lack of fussy detail. The heated steering wheel makes a friend of the driver on a chilly day and seat heating that extends to the rear impresses back seat drivers.
