MOJACAR will never be quite the same. One of the village’s larger than life characters and true friend and great ally of the Euro Weekly News Ric Polansky has sadly died. American Ric first moved to Mojacar in the 1960s. He was a promoter, and along with his brother was one of the first to really put the ‘corner of enchantment’ on the map. Ric was a man with a boundless passion for life. He loved bullfighting and photography, two interests he combined in the thousands of images he captured of bullfights around the world. He was not afraid to explore far flung corners, whether it was fishing in Alaska or following the

trail of the Spanish ‘conquistadores’ in Latin America in the hunt for the legendary city of El Dorado. Ric was also a talented and original writer, and EWN was privileged to count him as one of our regular columnists, putting down on paper many of his inner most thoughts for our readers. Ric will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him and will leave a gap in local Mojacar society which will be very hard to fill. Ric’s wife Karen has worked tirelessly for local animal charity PAWSPATAS for more than 30 years. “We can remember Ric with great admiration for being a pioneer for Mojacar and a great raconteur and writer,”

“chatty, funny and interested in listening.” It was thanks to his “very good friend for the last 32 years” that local

businessman Charles Alman came to Mojacar in the first place after seeing an advert Ric put in a UK paper. Ric picked up Charles from the airport, set him up in business, at a cost Charles mentioned, and from his friendship with the American and his family he has spent the last 30 years going to bullfights over all southern Spain. Just last autumn Charles was in New York visiting Ric’s youngest son Micah at the hotel where he works. Peni Howe and husband Mat Murray moved to Mojacar in 1999 and were introduced to Ric by his son Luke. Ric offered Mat work and encouraged the couple to invest in an off-plan apartment.

“Without a doubt the investment paid off,” Penni told EWN. “We sold within six months and doubled our money and moved to a family home as we’d just had our first child. We last saw Ric in Bedar where we live now and his words as always were ‘now do I owe you that drink or do you owe me!’ “Cheers Ric: we owe you!” The EWN’s heartfelt condolences go out to Ric’s wife Karen and to all his family.

Animal shelter lockdown plea Volunteer shelter manager Vanessa Maipauw, live-in caretaker James Scamlan and local volunteer Alistair Smith put the shelter into lockdown the day before the State of

Alarm came into force. The planned transport of cats and dogs to Holland and the UK this week was cancelled, leaving volunteers with 37 dogs to care for. There are also 15 pup-

pies and abandoned dogs in the ‘in-take’ section, which long-term volunteer Kerry Clarke oversees. Kerry travels from Mojacar on a daily basis and is also fostering two puppies. The cattery, which Sam Spencer manages, has 20 cats, and a handful of faithful volunteers are sharing daily shifts. “People who have to travel to and from the shelter are being provided with an official PAWS-PATAS notification stating they are working for the animal shelter, and the police are honouring this,” the charity’s Chrissie Cremore told the Euro Weekly News. “Mojacar councillor Lucas Mayo has stated that if stopped and not allowed to travel, then to get the police to contact

him and he would ensure that vet visits, local adoptions and fostering would be safeguarded,” Chrissie explained. The PAWS-PATAS shelter needs €9,500 per month for vet bills, medicines, food, water, electricity, cleaning materials, and so on. As the four PAWS-PATAS outlets are shut, “the vital revenue they raise is causing the charity great concern,” Chrissie stressed. “Therefore we are asking the public to try and help us. All donations are greatly received and you can send money via PayPal or your bank via our website www.pawspatas.org. “A plea was put on a Facebook forum asking folk to donate the cost of the coffee and tostada they can’t purchase during the lockdown and by

Friday morning people had generously given €561, but we are still €9,000 short for the coming weeks.” Chrissie also reported the charity is running low on stocks of dog, puppy, cat and kitten food, as well as cat litter, commenting, “again, if people are able to put a bag or tin in their shopping trolley and leave it at the shelter gates this would help immensely.” Chrissie clarified they are still arranging for adoptions to take place, and ask interested people to contact dogs@paws-patas. org or cats@pawspatas.org. The document on Facebook will be updated to reflect the latest information. Accommodation: The Spanish government has ordered that hotels and short-stay accommodation (such as short-stay campsites or caravan parks) must close by midnight today March 26. These measures do not apply to long-term accommodation, such as long-stay campsites, as long as clients can cater for themselves, in their own spaces (ie that clients do not rely on communal facilities). If you’re currently on holiday in Spain, check with your tour operator or accommodation provider for further information. If you’re travelling and wish to return to the UK, contact your tour operator, checking the website of their airlines or ferry companies for further advice. The Spanish authorities may ask British travellers to move hotels before today March 26 and have underlined that no-one will be left without accommodation. Travel: British travellers who are currently in Spain and who wish to return to the UK are advised to make travel plans to do so as soon as possible. At present, air and maritime borders remain open, but many airlines and ferry companies are operating revised or reduced services. Travel to airports to leave Spain is still permitted, but travellers may be asked to provide evidence that they are departing Spain (ie plane ticket). Driving through France: Spain is not restricting land border crossings from Spain to France. To drive back through France, the French authorities require that you fill in a declaration to explain your reason for travel, you should also have evidence of your onward travel plan (ie ferry/rail ticket). UTILITY BILLS: Cutting off vital necessities is strictly prohibited. THE regulations stated below applies to individuals on a personal level. It is not to be taken into consideration if you are a business, as the same information may not apply to you. Energy, water and gas are considered basic necessities so the guidelines on these services have been made clearer than in other fiscal areas. The Spanish government has stated that cutting off access to these vital necessities is strictly prohibited. If you have been left without a job or are earning significantly less during this crisis you are not obliged to pay your bills. However, this does not excuse you from payment rather it postpones your payment to a later, more convenient date. Similarly, any mortgage payments do not have to be paid immediately if you find yourself in a vulnerable financial situation, but they will have to be repaid at a later date. Rent payments have not been specified upon and this remains a dangerous grey

area. Overall, the government has encouraged residents to establish a ‘chain of solidarity’ between landlords and tenants. In other words, they expect an agreement to be reached between landlords and tenants without interference from the state. Unions disagree with this method as they say issues like rent should not be left to blind faith. The government has recommended that those who have not reached a conclusion with their landlord and cannot pay their rent should go to social services to ask for financial help, as each autonomous community has been granted €300 million to help with social issues. Bins and IBI (Property tax) payments are hard to generalise as they fall under municipal jurisdiction, however they are likely to follow the repayment protocol of utility bills and mortgage payments. For example, Alicante has decided to delay the bin and IBI payments, whilst, Sevilla has reduced bin taxes for businesses who have been forced to close and postponed IBI payments. Coming out the other side AS the coronavirus crisis gets worse in Spain and around the globe by the hour it is hard to see life beyond what has taken on the characteristics of an increasingly horrific and terrifying never-ending nightmare. This is not by any means the first time the world has been plunged into dark depths by tragedy and war. This time the enemy is invisible, and a deadly foe which is showing no respect for national borders. But at extraordinarily difficult chapters in world history like this we do well to remember that dark times do not last forever, and take inspiration from the words of great leader Winston Churchill. “If you’re going through hell, keep going,” he famously said after all

ence,” Churchill also said, and now more than ever, as Spain faces at least another three weeks of lockdown, keeping as positive as possible is vital. Just a short time ago all eyes were on China as the Covid-19 health emergency first started to unfold, but take heart from reports showing the country is beginning to return to normal thanks to all its efforts.

Easing crisis impact VERA Council is looking into applying extraordinary financial assistance for local businesses to help deal with the impact of the coronavirus crisis. Mayor Jose Carmelo Jorge Blanco is working with Finance councillor Alfonso Perez and municipal staff on the “possibility of applying fiscal and support measures for the municipality’s economic activity. “The economic and financial situation of small and medium-sized busi-

nesses and the self-employed of our municipality, many of them belonging to the service sectors, is going to be complicated as they are on the front line taking the economic battering of the coronavirus, with reductions of workers’ days, and in some cases, with the suspension of work contracts through ERTEs. “But we cannot forget that once this situation has been overcome, we have, between all of us, and with the council at the head, got to boost

our municipality’s economy.” The local authority’s Economic Services department has requested municipal areas speed up the processing of invoices pending payment so they can be paid immediately and alleviate, as far as possible, the monetary strain small and medium-sized businesses and the selfemployed are experiencing. The council also said it wanted to make businesses aware of the possibility of postponing and breaking down into instalments the payment of taxes. Community spirit SIERRO is just one example of how the coronavirus crisis is bringing out community spirit. To avoid the area’s considerable number of senior citizens having to go out onto the street and possibly risk Covid19 contagion, the local authority and young volunteers are carrying out their necessary tasks.

They are doing their shopping and taking it to them at their homes, getting their medications from phar macies, putting out their rubbish and taking their dogs for walks. The local authority is also trying to help keep the village’s children amused while they are trapped indoors during the State of Alarm. It has

set up a WhatsApp group featuring challenges and activities which youngsters can do at home. They are recording and posting videos with a view to having a ranking and a competition, for which prizes will be awarded once the Covid-19 period of confinement comes to an end.

FAKE: Face masks seized in Belgium. THE European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has been monitoring the activities of a number of rogue manufacturers and importers who are taking advantage of the current coronavirus crisis. It has discovered that there are a number of fraudsters importing into the European Union a selection of fake medical and personal protection products including masks, disinfectants, sanitisers and test kits. As well as being ineffective against the virus, these products also fail to comply with

EU standards, potentially damaging health. Sadly, fake face masks packaged to appeal to children are also being ruthlessly smuggled. Evidence suggests that these counterfeit products enter Europe through online sales and arrive in containers with fake certificates, are declared as other products, and then find their way into the normal distribution channels, or are sold on the black market. Consumers are encouraged to be very careful about only buying such items from reputable sources.

Change of plan VERA Council announced a change of plan on its idea to recruit volunteers to provide support to Local Police ensuring residents and businesses are complying with the coronavirus State of Alarm restrictions. The local authority had initially thought to get volunteers on board to look out for and advise the authorities of any situation which is not permitted under the rules on movement and confinement decreed by the national government. FRONTLINE: Teams are making sure the most vulnerable get basic food and medicines. THE Spanish Red Cross in Almeria has activated a Covid-19 emergency plan to assist families and the most vulnerable people with the supply of basic food and medicines and any other urgent need. The assistance is being coordinated by the local councils’ Community Social Services, who detect where there is a need for

help and channel the cases which require the intervention of the Red Cross’s volunteers and technical personnel. The Red Cross CPC Provincial Communications Centre is operating the Covid-19 emergency plan in strict coordination with Almeria City Council and local authorities in the Levante and Poniente regions of the province. The CPC volunteers are working in rotation. Each team is made up of two operators to deal with calls, two Social Intervention staff to evaluate the action and who get in contact with the people who require the services, and the personnel who have the job of getting

the requested services to the most vulnerable. As it stands the CPC is active from 8am to 3pm. At the same time, the Red Cross is calling more than 7,000 elderly and disabled people throughout the province to provide them with information about preventative measures, and to monitor and identify their needs. The Red Cross said it is maintaining operational essential services like the immigrant and refugee reception centres, the day centre for the homeless and assistance to victims of gender-based violence who are included in the ATENPRO programme and who ask for help from their mobile phones.

Doing their bit WITH the coronavirus health crisis turning face masks into an essential item, the local community in Garrucha is pitching into the battle

against Covid-19. Members of the Nuestra SeĂąora del Rocio sisterhood have set about making face masks in their workshop for med-

ical staff. The sisterhood also put out a message on its Facebook page calling for other people to get in touch and contribute to their efforts. Another Garrucha local, a seamstress by profession, had made 200 masks and donated them to the council. The local authority told press that “dozens of companies and residents have joined the cause and are doing their bit.�

Legion joins street patrols MEMBERS of the Legion’s Rey Alfonso XIII Brigade have joined the law enforcement agencies patrolling the streets of Almeria under the State of Alarm declared to stop the spread of the coronavirus. A company of the Don Juan de Austria regiment has since last week been keeping a check on the main roads and most strategic points of Almeria City. These include the port, the station and the airport.

FIRST TIME: Up until now the Legion has only participated in rescue or humanitarian operations in Almeria. This is the first time the Legion has participated in an effort of this kind in

the province, although it has in the past actively taken part in rescue and

humanitarian operations, like flooding incidents.

Races off THE annual Wacky Races Villaricos fundraising event is likely to be postponed until the last Saturday in April next year as a result of the coronavirus crisis, the organisers have announced. The races were originally scheduled to take place on the 26th of next month. The organisers considered October 17 as a possible alternative date, but said it was more likely they would follow the lead of several other major sporting events and delay until 2021.

Cyber Crime

ONLINE VIRUS: Trying to break the entire medical software system. DUE to the State of Alarm, crime has drastically decreased but unfortunately it has not disappeared, as crime is now online. Police forces have informed of a new online virus which is reaching medical staff via e-mail, trying to corrupt and ‘break the entire medical software system.’ The deputy operational director of the police, Jose Angel Gonzalez, explained that there has been a significant increase in “dangerous and malicious” cyber-attacks.

Medical staff are not the only victims of these cyber crimes. Over 200 online hoaxes “which aim to provoke fear and panic within the population” have been made during this pandemic. For example, videos of an Italian prison riot have been misleadingly shared throughout Spain. On March 22 there were 7,007 reports and 61 arrests related to cyber crime. Since the State of Alarm, there have been a total of 30,254 reports against cyber crimes and 364 arrests within the National Police’s jurisdiction.

FOR some weeks now, the world has benefited by the schism between OPEC and Russia over oil produc­ tion and motorists have benefited here in Spain as well as throughout Europe with a drop in fuel prices. The OPEC concept was to reduce production in order to keep prices high as demands fall due to lock­ downs but Russia refused. Things have changed however as President Trump has intervened to initially purchase 30 million bar­ rels of crude oil to add to American reserves, thus steadying the price.

AS many companies with huge turnovers look to their governments to support them financially during the crisis caused by the coronavirus, Spanish giant Inditex, the world’s largest retailer, confirms that profits will be down this year. The EU market watchdog has confirmed that whilst all traders are supposed to record conversations with customers, for the duration of the current crisis, they must take detailed notes of their con-

versations. This is in response to complaints from banks that they have not received sufficient advice on what they should tell their staff to do in order to comply with the law.

It is believed that the technical le­ galities surrounding the trial made it the most complicated tax fraud case in history, but the convictions may be used as a precedent in future trials.

BUSINESS EXTRA Task force THE Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in the UK is setting up a task force in order to ensure that retailers don’t use the coronavirus to take advantage of shoppers by either artificially inflating prices or making false claims.

Unfortunately this is going to mean droves of disgruntled, hungry and possibly dangerous individuals prowling the streets prepared to do just about anything to ease their desperate situations. Of course if Corbyn’s lot were in power, they would probably have special stations set up to take care of them all. In fact, if Diana Abbott had anything to do with it, it’s highly likely they would be given some kind of priority! When our lives return to normal, let us hope there is a bit

Particularly the benefit baloney the country has become entangled and gnarled up in over the years. In fact this latest example is not only a disgrace, but an insult to the families and victims of one of the worst acts of terror the country has ever seen. Last week, after the brother of the Manchester bomber was impris-

oned for his part in the attack, it was revealed that his family had been receiving benefits of more than £2,000 a month. What was actually more disturbing was that when his mother took her three youngest children back to Libya in 2016, no one from Social Services thought to check their circumstances and the payments continued unabated. This was subsequently used by these two monsters to not

only live on, but also purchase the components for the bomb which ultimately took the lives and maimed the scores of innocent victims in the Manchester arena atrocity. In other words the British tax payer funded the attack! Obviously when all this horror is at an end and the UK has the opportunity for a fresh start, the whole system will need a complete overhaul. In our ‘new world,’ that will inevitably have undergone dra-

matic change, we will hopefully see more attention paid to the indigenous and better deserving population and use a little more common sense over the bleeding heart and luvvie brigade, who have managed to disrupt common sense and plunge the UK into a mind boggling turmoil of political correctness and utterly ludicrous ‘uman rights which needs to be sorted. Finally this week I fervently hope, that when our human race ultimately manages to defeat this invisible nightmare, it will realise just how frail our existence actually is and learn that love and peace is still the only true answer to it all. Many will know me and my family as we have lived here 15 years. Over the years I have met so many lovely clients, both buyers and sellers, and have made some fantastic lifelong friends. In March 2019 I launched Dream Homes Almeria. It has been a rollercoaster year with lots of hard work in a difficult market but what an amazing year! I have found a new me that I didn’t even know existed. Initially starting from home we now have an Arboleas village office with our Dream Team of Vicki and Sian. I have had incredible help and support from my clients old and new, residents, friends, other businesses and of course my family over this last year and this has been so heart-warming and inspiring. There have been lots of hurdles to overcome this year. Starting a new business amongst all the negativity and fear surrounding Brexit was a huge step. Brexit of course caused lots of buyers to be scared about making the move to Spain. Once Brexit was done, business was booming as the housing market stabilised. Currently we are dealing with Coronavirus and the national lockdown. Our second year has had an interesting start but clients of all nationalities will be

back buying in Spain and the property market will take off again. It is just a matter of getting through this, taking care of each other, keeping safe and healthy. We might be a new small local business but we have been doing our best to support our local charities. Along with our fabulous gang of supporters, the extended Dream Team, we are delighted to have been able to support Little Owls, Walk for Life, AECC Arboleas and Helping Animals Almanzora who all do a fantastic job locally. Personally, my main aim has always been to make sure that all clients get the best experience. I feel it is important to be on hand for the new buyers to ensure they settle into a new lifestyle, to living in a new country and dealing with an often bewildering culture, not to mention baffling bureaucracy! The hundreds of clients I have helped make the move here over the last 15 years will, I am sure, attest to the level of service I always try to provide for them. Now more than ever, not just our clients but the community as a whole need all the help they can get, indeed that we can all give to each other. I realise I am very fortunate in that my family live in the area. Our children, (22 and 20) have been educated here, speak fluent Spanish and are

fully integrated into both the Spanish and English communities. They are happy to help anyone with making calls to doctors, emergency services etc. Antonia works in a Farmacia so if you need help with prescriptions or even just general advice please feel free to ask us for help. If you live alone, can’t drive or are not feeling well and need shopping please let us know, we can help you and we will. On a positive note the Coronavirus lockdown will come to an end sooner or later (hopefully sooner) and when it does, we can all get back to our normal lives in the sun. I am sure that once the lockdown is lifted, we will all be much more appreciative of the fabulous lifestyle we have here, but have probably been taking for granted. We have plans with new and innovative marketing ideas in place ready to launch as soon as normal service resumes BUT now more than ever we will try to help not only our clients, but our community as a whole. This place we call home, the place where we have brought up our family IS our community and is so important to us. Whilst property viewings are on hold if you need any help please just ask. Being a parent is difficult for anyone, but being a parent with bipolar does come with a unique set of worries and challenges. I cannot count the number of times I have stopped and wondered how much damage my illness causes to my child. I remember many sleepless nights worrying about the day I would have to explain to my child what her Mummy had to go through on a daily basis. I will never forget the words my mum said to me one day “We will explain to her in age appropriate terms.” Growing up children naturally have a lot of questions - when they don’t get answers to their questions they tend to come up with their own, which can be incorrect and scary for them! “Why does my mummy cry and shake sometimes?” She asked her Nana. UH OH!! How do you explain to a five-year-old about panic attacks?!?! I felt as if my whole world came crumbling down, I thought I was doing so well by putting a brave face on day in and day out for my child, hiding away the fact that I had to take medication several times during the day. That I cried or felt suicidal at times. That I was tired, so tired of being ME! First thing I could think of saying was “Mummy has really bad headaches and sometimes gets really poorly.” I asked a child psychologist on how to deal with this kind of situation, to which her professional advice was to talk to her in words she understood and to always speak the truth. Each parent and child’s “beginning conversation” about bipolar and anxiety disorder will be different depending on the child’s age and ability to understand. Nobody knows your child better than you do. This seemed the ap-

propriate explanation for a five-yearold, and it was, I answered her question and on she went about her day without giving it another thought. Now at the age of seven years old, she knows that her Mummy is different, that I have good days and bad days, she knows what a panic attack is, she also knows to call her grandparents straight away if she thinks Mummy is really poorly. She knows she can ask me anything, tell me what she is worried about and Mummy will always answer. The hardest thing to live with is knowing that seeing me live with bipolar may have caused her to feel unsafe, caused her to feel upset, or blamed herself - breaks my heart. Everyday I wake up setting my parenting expectations so high. On my good days I may meet them all, and on others I fall short. But the one thing that never falls short, is how much love I have for my child and some days that is ENOUGH. A few tips I have learned along the way, may help others reading this: • Don’t be scared to ask for help! : Let your loved ones know how they could help you. It’s brave to admit you would like some help. • Don’t sweat the small stuff: If you can’t do the dishes today because you need an early night, don’t worry, they will still be there tomorrow!! • Self care is important : You need to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of your children. • Your self worth exists outside of your family : It’s important to develop outside interests so you can feel worthy. LAMBE-MURPHY AS I sit at my desk to write this column, I realise that I am fortunate. Yes, like everyone else, I too am in lockdown, but as I sip my espresso, and look to the sea, I know I am one of the lucky ones. I’m healthy and my family, who are in Ireland and the south of France, are thus far, okay. I am lucky in others ways too, as I’ve never held, what they like to call a ‘proper job.’ Therefore, I’m used to the freedom of doing as I wish, when I wish. While I saw others panic and stress when told to self-isolate, the idea of staying home, was at first, very normal to me. However, it was after day one that I realised, I longed to lunch at Sea Grill, or get lost in Museo Ralli. I longed to be free to pass the late afternoon at the stores of Puerto Banus, or hop on a plane for risotto al nero at Cipriani, Monte Carlo. But alas, lockdown is lockdown. As the days began to pass, I started to snoop on social media to see how others were coping. Home work outs, cookery, fashion advice, beauty tips for ‘lockdown meltdown.’ All fine, but nothing new. Then of course there were those, who chose to moan and complain about everything and everyone. I scrolled and scrolled, only to see people moaning at the government, the world, the sky, the sea and the dog. Nothing was off limits. Without intention, I began to unfriend and delete people at an alarming rate. Why do I need these negative sorts in my new virtual world? I guess I’d never noticed them before, as I, like most, pay little attention to social media, as such. Delete, delete, delete... I went into a frenzy, going from over 3,000 Facebook friends to less than 500 within half an hour. Try it, it’s surprisingly liberating. So, with a major Facebook cull complete, a morning swim, lunch on the terrace, and a work out planned for that evening, how was I going to stay entertained for the rest of the day? A couple of years ago, I wrote a novel, Diary of an It Boy. A factional story based on the hectic life of an international socialite. Filled with dramas and high-octane parties, from London to Gstaad. From Gstaad to Marbella, and beyond.

FORTUNATE: There’s a book in all of us, why not try it? Anyhow, I remembered how good it felt to escape into the writing world, where nothing matters apart from the screen and your creativity. After an hour in the cellar selecting some wine, I poured a glass of Amarone, and set about writing a whole new book. Should it be a follow-on from book one? Seeing as so much has happened since I wrote it, perhaps yes. It was at that moment, I experienced my first point of writers’ block. ‘Oh, a new book, exciting! What’s it going to be called?’ my friend Tancredi enthused, via Facetime. I couldn’t even come up with a storyline, so the title was too much to try. I closed the laptop and went to workout. As I pounded the treadmill (God I miss my morning run on the beach), it came to me. That evening with Miles Davis playing, the fire lighting, and the distinct scent of Byredo Safran candles, that fill my house, ideas flowed and I got busy. Without trying, I found my mojo. There’s a book in us all, try it. Who knows, perhaps from these dark days, will emerge some great modern classics. I’ll keep you posted. Stay safe, stay busy, stay creative.

Minimum €30 supermarket spend

OBJECTIVE: The local authority wants to discourage residents from doing daily shops. A COUNCIL in Extremadura has established a minimum spend of €30 in supermarkets and food shops throughout the coronavirus State of Alarm. The mayor of Herrera del Duque in Badajoz, Saturnino Alcazar, said the aim of the council proclamation was to ensure residents “avoid going shopping daily and comply with the obliga-

tion of staying at home for the maximum possible time.” The proclamation states that the entrances and exits to food stores are being checked and that there will be sanctions for anyone who violates the €30 minimum. The mayor reminded the municipality’s 3,500 residents that the majority of food outlets and supermarkets in the locality

offer a home delivery service. The council head explained the decision to introduce the minimum spend measure had been taken due to the “continued non-compliance by some residents” with the State of Alarm regulations on confinement, and who had been “using shopping as a pretext to leave the house.”

Spanish repatriated THE Spanish Cabinet have decided to include an exception to the decree, established on March 10, that prohibited direct flights from Italy, as they aim to repatriate Spanish nationals and residents who find themselves stuck in Italy. Maria Jesus Montero, the spokeswoman for the Cabinet has specified that whoever arrives to Spain on these flights must stay in complete quarantine at their homes. To make sure they stay quarantined they will be monitored by health authorities. Flights will be able to land in various Spanish airports, such as, Madrid, Barcelona, Las Palmas and Malaga. This decision has been made due to the
