IMPACT: The protected salt lakes of the natural park earmarked to create homes for over 23,000 residents.

TM Real Estate Group has bought the land in the La Hoya area close to the protected Natural Park of the salt lake lagoons of Torrevieja and La Mata. The d e v e l o p e r h a d planned to start work before Easter, but plans have been delayed since the beginning of the year. TM Real Estate Group was ordered to present an

La Mata and housing estate. Around a third of the total space of more than 1.8 million square metres - which could eventually accommodate almost 7,500 properties - w ill be ta ke n up by the TM Real Estate scheme. There will eventually be a population of of 23,000 new

residents, with a new bridge over the N-332 and a pedestria n footbridge ove r the CV-905. In a ddition, the re is a n a re a tha t w ill be us e d for commercial buildings and the developer already has an agreement with the multinational DIY Bauhaus to settle in the area.
