VAPOUR BARRIERS AND VCL
VAPOUR BARRIERS AND VCL
A wide range of certified vapor control layers & vapor barriers, extremely air tight, from low Sd value active barriers to very high Sd value vapour barriers, including reflective ones as well as fire retardant ones for residential and industrial construction in traditional, masonry, timber based and timber-frame, CLT, prefabricated, passive, and modular technologies.

ACTIVE VAPOUR CONTROL LAYERS
Sd value from 2 up to 10 m
Active vapour control layers feature a range of Sd coefficients from 2 m up to 10 m.
They are equipped with a special functional film that not only protects against not controlled water vapour flow but also allows controlled diffusionsmall amounts of vapour have a way to migrate enabling the drying process and preventing condensation while the air tight nature blocks air penetration minimizing possible thermal bridges. This gives the product its so-called vapour control performance.
Active vapour control layers protect against water vapour from the inside preventing condensation and ensure a healthy climate inside the building

CLIMA 2

CLIMA X

VAPOUR CONTROL LAYERS
Sd value ≥ 18 m
Vapour control layers feature Sd coefficients of ≥ 18 m.
Acting as a barrier against the penetration of water vapour from inside the building towards the attic or walls.
Ensures excellent protection for thermal insulation against water vapour condensation, still enabling water vapour controlled migration preventing moisture problems.

CLIMA 18
ca. 110 g/m2 | Sd 18 m CLIMA X20

ca. 115 g/m2 | Sd 20 m
VAPOUR BARRIERS
Sd value ≥ 40 m
Vapour insulation membranes and foils feature Sd coefficients of ≥ 40 m
They provide insulation against the penetration of water vapour from inside the building towards the attic or walls.
They effectively protect against the migration of water vapour from inside the building to the thermal insulation, providing excellent protection against moisture and vapour condensation.

VAPOUR EXTREME BARRIERS
Sd value ≥ 100 m
Vapour-tight membranes and foils feature Sd coefficients of ≥ 100 m
They act as a barrier against the penetration of water vapour from inside the building towards the attic or walls.
They create an extreme barrier against water vapour transmission where it is required, ideal for areas with a high risk of condensation, where full protection against moisture is required.

Composition
MOISTURE PROTECTION
CLIMA vapor barrier membranes used as attic or wall vapor barriers - moisture regulation.
Additionally, they are used in the renovation and thermal modernization of attics from the outside in non-sheathed and sheathed roofs, as well as in the case of roofs that require renovation or additional insulation, where it is impossible to carry out such renovation from inside the building.

CERTIFICATES
EMICODE®
It is a quality control and classification system for building materials based on the level of hazardous substance emissions. Materials classified as „very low emission” carry the GEV EMICODE® EC1 PLUS label, which ensures the highest level of safety for healthy indoor air.
ÉMISSIONS DANS L’AIR INTÉRIEUR A+
A system for classifying volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from building materials and other products used indoors. The classification assesses emission levels 28 days after the product is applied. Class A+ indicates a very low level of emissions, meaning the product is safe for indoor air quality.

CERTIFIED COMPONENT PASSIVE HOUSE INSTITUTE
This certificate confirms that the product meets stringent requirements for energy efficiency, insulation, and airtightness, which are crucial for achieving the passive house standard.
This certification guarantees the highest quality and energy efficiency of products used in passive construction.
System components with airtightness class phA.
Eurovent® CLIMA X Airtightness vapour control membrane.
Eurovent® UNISAN
Tape for membrane to membrane joints.
Eurovent® HYDRAL
Tape membrane to osb joints
Eurovent® MULTI
Sealing compound for membrane to concrete/wall joints

BLOWER DOOR TEST
It is an air-tightness test of a building that measures how well the building prevents uncontrolled airflow between the interior and exterior. It is primarily used to assess the building’s energy efficiency, particularly in terms of heat loss and insulation.
It identifies areas of air leakage, such as around windows, doors, the attic, and walls. This test helps assess the effectiveness of thermal insulation and ventilation systems. It is essential for energy-efficient, passive, and low-energy buildings.
During internal testing, we successfully evaluated a wide range of Eurovent brand products, including Vapor Control Layers, Adhesive Tapes, Window Tapes, and Roof Membranes.

ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATION

The EPD declaration provides information about the environmental impact of the product.
The assessment covers:
Raw material consumption and emissions.
Energy consumption related to production. Usage, product life cycle.
