“There’s not only a direct correlation with people feeling good in the workplace and being more productive, but if you can start Monday feeling good, then that carries through the week.”

As Eurest marks 30 years in the U.S., we invite you to explore our annual magazine. Food First. Hospitality Always. shares insights from our leaders on the trends shaping today’s workplace, how we are designing innovative solutions for our clients, and the ways Eurest is expanding the impact of work beyond foodservice.

Introducing

STREET EATS: ARAYES

Street Eats is Eurest’s global street food program, launched in 2023 to bring some of the world’s most popular street foods into the workplace. Each iteration highlights a new region or cuisine, offering guests familiar, craveable flavors served in a fast, approachable format.

The next addition is Arayes, a street food favorite from the Middle East’s Levant region. Arayes is a crispy, savory handheld pita stuffed with a seasoned ground filling and grilled until golden.

A TAST OF PHILLY WITH UNCLE JOEY’S HOT DELI taste

Uncle Joey’s Hot Deli is a premium East Coast–style sandwich concept bringing the traditions of a classic Italian deli counter to the workplace for breakfast and lunch.

The menu features slow-roasted pork with broccoli rabe, classic chicken cutlets, and beef dip sandwiches, built with authentic Philly ingredients like seeded hoagie rolls, sharp provolone cheese, Italian long hot peppers, and “Made in Philly” favorites such as Peanut Chews.

THEIR INCREDIBLE STORIES

ANDREA MAYER/ LIFE SAVER

ANOTHER LIFE SAVED BY CPR TRAINING AND OUR FANTASTIC TEAM: What began as an average Friday for our Sr VPO Andrea Mayer soon changed into a day that would change several lives forever. While on a work call in her home office, Andrea heard screaming and banging on her front door. Her neighbor’s daughter was hysterical, screaming that her father had just had a heart attack. Having just completed her recertification in CPR (we retrain every year) Andrea rushed next door to find her neighbor not breathing, with his eyes rolled back in his head. He appeared to be in full cardiac arrest. “I immediately thought about Tom and reminded myself that this is what I trained for.”

The daughter called 911 while Andrea began chest compressions and mouth to mouth resuscitation. While staying in conversation with the 911 operator, Andrea continued the compressions for 13 minutes until the EMTs finally arrived. By this time, the man had begun breathing and regained consciousness. Before leaving, the EMTs told Andrea she had saved the man’s life.

CPR

Andrea’s neighbor was rushed to the hospital, underwent bypass surgery and, thankfully, is now recovering.

This makes six lives that have now been saved by our teams and their CPR training. We are all very grateful to Andrea for being courageous, and for using her training to save her neighbor. Please join me in thanking Andrea, and if you haven’t yet gotten CPR certified, I hope you’ll consider it. We owe that to each other.
