Grades 1-3 (2021-2022 School Year) Lower Elementary Montessori Camp
Information & Registration Due to COVID-19 and for the health and safety of everyone, our Summer Program is restricted to 2021-2022 Eton School students only. During our Summer Program, we continue to follow our Eton School Safe Plan.
• Upon arrival at their classroom door for Casa and Mezzo and the front porch at Main, the student's temperature is taken and a parent/guardian must answer the COVID-19 screening questions.
• Camps do not mix during the day or during the week. • Childcare Camp is unavailable for students during the week they are attending a Montessori or

• All camps are listed by the grade a child enters in the Fall of 2021. Please choose accordingly. Students must have:
• Masks: A mask/shield to wear. A spare is helpful as well. Required for all students on campus. • Personal Water Bottle: Please label with your child's name. • Lunch (If attending during lunchtime): Please include an ice pack to keep things cold, eating utensils, and napkins.
• Snacks (1-2 per day): Suggest one if attending 4 hours or less and two if attending more than 4 hours.
Registration
• All registration is completed online. • Registration is by the student's grade in the 2021-2022 School Year. • Opens at 7:00 a.m. on February 12, 2021, on a first come, first served basis. • Closes 7:00 a.m. on the Thursday before a camp begins or when the maximum number of students is reached for Summer and Montessori Camps. See the next page for Summer Childcare Camps.
• Payment is due at the time of registration except for Childcare Camp. • If a camp is full, there is an option to join a wait list. Any openings for a camp that may arise are filled in the order of placement on the wait list.
• Camps may be canceled due to lack of registrations. If a camp is canceled, those registered for the camp will be notified and payments refunded.

Children will be gathered in self-contained groups with dedicated staff. There will be activities, crafts, and outdoor play worked into the daily routine.
• Age 3-through Kindergarten (2021-2022 School Year): Mezzo and Casa • Grades 1-5 (2021-2022 School Year): Main Building • We will decide case-by-case and work with each family on sibling placement for those children who span both age groups.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rate: $15/Hour (in 15 minute increments). Late Pick Up Charge: There is a charge of $2.00 per minute per child after 4:00 p.m. Registrations Deadline; 6 June 2021 by 11:00 p.m. If you find you need childcare after the registration is closed, please let us know via email (SummerCamp@etonschool.org), and we will let you know if we can accommodate your request.

The Pre-elementary Summer Bridge class is designed to ease the transition back into school or the next level of work. Students will use the many hands-on materials to enrich their learning during independent work time. Students join a certified Montessori teacher (Lower Elementary and Early Childhood) for a variety of academic enrichment activities throughout the day, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Geography, and Art. During the week, students have the opportunity to participate in a small group setting and receive individualized lessons. The week provides a valuable orientation to our Lower Elementary program. In addition to the academics, the cultural and art lessons will be centered around the theme, “Earth’s Green Machine,” a focus on botany. Students learn new skills through the use of a variety of mediums and techniques. Art projects include origami, painting, embroidery, textile, and block-printing, to name a few.

July 12-23 Grades P4-Grade 1 (2021-2022 School Year) Drama Camp Teacher: Kalsom Wali Drama Camp presents the famous tale of Henny Penny in “The Sky is Falling.” When an acorn falls on Henny Penny’s head, she thinks it is a piece of the sky, hence in a panic, she makes her way to tell the King and is joined by her friends. Week 1: Listen to the story and learn about the characters, scenes, songs, and lines. Each child will be given a role to act out. Week 2: Children will start practicing their lines and songs. They will also work on building the scenes, making props, and creating costumes. Cost: $750 (2 week camp)

July 26-August 6 Grades K and 1 (2021-2022 School Year) STEAM and Voyage to the Universe Teacher: Lynette Oshiro Be an astronaut for two-weeks with Ms. Oshiro and explore the mysteries of outer space. Take a rocket to the moon where we’ll see magnificent sights and create our own solar system. Students will discover about our planet Earth, planets, sun, moon, stars, and constellations. Being outdoors, we get to experience the weather systems and learn more about the wonders of space. In the afternoon, students will become scientists and have hands-on experience with science experiments, tinkering, and discovering. Full Day: : 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
