Pre-elementary Clubhouse (childcare) provides several options for parents. Registration is limited to 60 students for June 17–21, August 5–9,August 12–16, and August 19–23. During weeks when there is Pre-elementary Montessori Camp, Clubhouse is only available to students who are attending the camp. Montessori Camp

Montessori Camps Pre-elementary (Must be 3 year of age by September 1, 2019) Under the Ocean! Let's explore amazing ocean life! Summer Montessori Camp students discover fun facts about the deep blue ocean and sea creatures with enrichment activities including art and crafts, stories, music, cooking, gardening, sewing, and science experiments. The week provides a valuable orientation to Eton’s Lower Elementary program. Week: August 12-16 (If by June 30, less than 5 full day students are registered, then class will be canceled.) Eton School offers a wide variety of Summer Camps for P4 (age 4) through grade 12. The following pages are filled with camps offered half and full day over seven weeks. Peruse through the pages, select desired camps, and give your child a summer learning adventure!

• Registration for camps through Eton's website begins at 7:00 a.m. on January 29, 2019 on a first come, first served basis.

• Payment is due at the time of registration. • For most camps, a wait list is started when its registration is full and any openings that may arise are filled in the order of placement on the wait list.

June 17–21 Camps

Soccer Shots offers low coach-to-player ratios, professional staff, and an age-appropriate curriculum. We use a soccer camp curriculum to teach advanced soccer skills, all while keeping our fun, safe environment. Join Karate-X this summer for one exciting and challenging week of sweat, discipline, determination, and fun! Students learn and practice Karate skills with punching bags, breaking boards, blocking drills, kicking targets and more. Each day includes cardio, strength, and agility training to keep bodies primed for mobility, action, and good health. Our professional instructors know how to challenge and motivate kids while building self-confidence and discipline. For beginners who have never tried Karate to athletes of any sport, Karate-X Summer Camp challenges and grows bodies and minds! Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 Morning Storytelling: A Journey Through Time

In this camp, students learn how storytelling has changed through time: from the time stories began in the oral tradition, to the invention of the printing press, to today. Students discover the different ways familiar tales from around the world have been shared and create their own works of art, perform readers’ theater, make books, and more! Students join Poppy Louthan, Eton School’s Teacher Librarian, on a storytelling journey that they will not forget. Afternoon Storytelling: A Journey Through Time

Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 Full Day The Art of Upcycling!

Join Miss Amelia, Eton School's Art teacher, for five fun-filled days of recycled arts and crafts! Students learn to re-purpose used materials into artful treasures through a variety of artistic techniques and fun projects ranging from painting, mosaics and 3D sculptures to making unique gifts for others. Week 2: June 24-28 Grades P4, K, and 1 Morning Kids’ Drama Camp (3 weeks: June 24-28 | July 1-5 (No Camp on July 4) | July 8-12)

Ms. Kalsom Wali’s popular Kids’ Drama Camp is back this summer! This three-week half day camp from June 24 to July 12 is staging Three Billy Goats Gruff, a Norwegian fairy tale about three goats who must face a mean troll living under a bridge before they can cross a river. In the end, like all other fairy tales, there is a happy ending as the “Three Billy Goats Gruff” outsmart the troll and end up on the other side of the river with much greener grass! Please note there is no after-camp care for P4 campers.

The following are the benefits of children doing drama: 1. Lesson: Every story teaches a lesson. 2. Confidence: Performing drama builds confidence in being in front of an audience. 3. Creativity: children learn to think outside the box when they have to carry out a character. 4. Focus: Students learn to focus on the sequence and remembering their lines. 5. Accountability: Their role is important, and the whole play relies on how well they do their part. 6. Body language: They learn how their movements work as non-verbal communication. 7. Teamwork: Students learn the importance of collaboration to achieve common goals. 8. Determination: Learning and remembering lines requires a lot of work and determination. Students often feel a sense of accomplishment after performing. 9. Problem Solving: Students encounter a lot of problems in acting out a character, creating props and setting up the stage, which requires them to think and create a solution. 10. Our Little Coders camp is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! The curriculum is designed specifically for early readers and takes into account cognitive abilities as well as the attention span typical for children ages 5-7. Little Coders introduces students to basic coding concepts in a variety of ways, from playing coding board games like Robot Turtles to programming their first games or animated stories. The camp uses age‑appropriate online tools, including Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch. After the camp, students share their projects with family/friends and continue programming at home with their Coding with Kids Scratch account. Afternoon Robotics for Little Coders

Our Robotics for Little Coders with Ozobot camp is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! Ozobot's programming is designed specifically for early readers, taking into account the cognitive abilities and typical attention span of children ages five to seven years old. This camp introduces students to basic coding concepts with simple tasks, such as customizing their Ozobot and assigning commands through different colors, then build up to more complex tasks with Ozobot's simple drag-and-drop language. iD Tech MovieMaker: Create Videos and Shorts with Adobe

Skill Level: Beginner-Advanced Your child can watch themselves become the star of his/her movies! They'll learn about the technology of video editing to become the next big cinema sensation. Budding movie creators will use the simple yet powerful Adobe Premiere Rush software to push their storytelling to the limits and have a visual blast making their new favorite movies. Watch your student learn and grow as they record their best week ever! Start your coding journey by creating your own games! Campers learn the core concepts of computer programming that lay the foundations for future coding success. A variety of projects, such as chasing games, mazes, and animated stories, allow campers to use creativity while learning coding concepts like loops and variables. Our unique curriculum and smaller class size provide personalized instruction that helps students progress at their own pace while being appropriately challenged. Students have access to their own Scratch account, allowing them to continue working on their coding journey at home. Minecraft Modding with Blocks

Prerequisites: Minecraft PC Account (Students need to bring their own Minecraft for PC login to the camp. XBox or iOS Minecraft accounts do not work for this camp.) Calling all Minecrafters! Building Minecraft mods is a great way to learn programming, harness creativity, and enhance problem-solving skills while making a favorite game even better. Campers have their own Minecraft server where they customize the game with their world maps and features. Students code mods to create new items, environments, non-playable characters, game modes, and more! Campers use a simple drag‑and-drop coding environment to accomplish exciting results with their one-of-a-kind Minecraft features! iD Tech Build and Code Your Own Take Home Laptop

Skill Level: Beginner-Advanced Build a laptop in this course that combines hardware and software knowledge for a hands-on approach to computer science. Students will put together their pi-top laptop—that's theirs to take home—from a Raspberry Pi and other circuit boards. They'll learn to troubleshoot their hardware assembly and then it's time to boot up the computer—that they built—to experience the thrill of coding in Python. With an introduction to hardware, engineering, and coding, this course has something for everyone. Learn one of the most widely used programming languages in the professional world! This text-based language is used for everything from game development to powering applications at NASA. The camp provides the perfect opportunity to start out with Python or, for existing Python users, to refine their Python skills. Campers develop programming skills, like data structures and algorithms, and cognitive skills, like creativity and logical reasoning. Campers explore the multiple facets of the language as they create games, analyze data sets, and learn the basics of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Prerequisite: Prior coding experience and basic typing skills. The Web Development camp will have campers use the computer programming foundations they have learned previously to advance to web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Instructors introduce the fundamentals of web design and development, and to teach campers how to build a website and web‑based game of their own. After the camp has ended, campers can share projects with family and friends, as well as continue programming at home with their Coding with Kids account. iD Tech RoboCoder: Robotics and Visual Coding with LEGO

Skill Level: Beginner-Advanced | Prerequisites: Ability to work in a team. Each student is provided with an individual computer and shares robotics equipment.
