June 2025

Energy Update Final Opportunity - Radio Tele Switch (RTS) meters switch off June 2025! Radio Tele Switch meters are having their signal switched off on 30 June 2025. This means the meters will no longer function after this date. Why is this important? If your meter doesn’t know when to switch between peak and off peak, then it will not know how to turn hot water systems and/or heating systems on and off. This means your hot water might be left on permanently or your storage heaters might use electricity at a more expensive time. In addition, your supplier won’t know when you’re using your electricity, so you might be charged the wrong amount. For example, you could be charged a peak rate for electricity you use during your off-peak hours. We’ve contacted everyone affected but we are aware there are still close to 250 meters requiring exchange. If you have not yet done so, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange your meter exchange as leaving this until the last minute may mean no engineer is available prior to the deadline.
